I had success with chiropractic years ago, but had to find a new one after a neck injury. I was cautious and skeptical (but in pain) after another local Chiropractor injured my ribs on first visit saying "I was afraid that might happen" He seemed really rushed. Needless to say, I didn't go back. My trip to King Chiropractic was the exact opposite. I was relaxed and felt at ease while getting an adjustment and discussing my health issues. I have seen Dr. King twice and will be having ongoing treatment for issues related to aging and arthritis. I've been to other chiropractors, but was not happy with their methods. Dr. King uses a variety of ways to treat, including laser as well as the usual chiropractor's table for adjustments. Her touch is firm yet gentle. I used to feel exhausted after prior treatments from "bone crackers" but with Dr. King, I don't have that feeling after treatment at all. I also like the pace of her office. It's not rushed and her office assistants are very pleasant. My co-pay is very reasonable and though the laser treatments are not covered by insurance, they too are reasonable. I recommend Dr. King to anyone, especially senior citizens, who are struggling with the pains of aging bodies! read more

Dr King has been great I have arthritis in my back and suffer from SI joint disfunction and through her adjustments and guidance I continue to be able to climb ladders, due heavy lifting and play golf. I had tendinitis for a couple years in my Achilles tendon. I tried physical therapy and lots of rest. Nothing seemed to work. I went to Shelly and I felt better than I had in years! For many months I had absolutely terrible butt and leg pain and saw two different chiropractors, two physical therapists, was directed to get a deep tissue massage (they actually had me bite on a towel since I was in so much pain...) nothing provided ANY relief. I was told it was sciatica and thought that this constant pain may just be my new normal. I then met Dr. King who really LISTENED to me and suggested immediately that I get imaging done and ordered an MRI. I ending up having a herniated disc!! I was thrilled to know it was something that could be treated and my pain relieved! She referred me to a great neurosurgeon who performed a microdiscectomy and I felt like a new women. I'm pregnant with my third child (in just about three years) and was miserable by the start of the second trimester. I've always heard good things about using a chiropractor to ease the aches and pains of pregnancy, but I was very skeptical. I found Dr. King through the "provider search" feature on my insurance's website - piece of cake. Her office is conveniently located and she uses a scheduling software which allows you to pick and choose date and time right on your phone. After just one visit to Dr. King I noticed a remarkable improvement. My sciatica pain is gone, my soreness is gone and I'm essentially "back to normal" after every visit. I have been treating prenatal and postpartum issues with Dr. King twice and both times she was great. After my first pregnancy I had plantar fasciitis and it was gone after a few treatments. I had a sprain to my left wrist. I wore a cast for 3 weeks to stabilize the wrist. On removal of this cast I was still in much pain running down my arm, beginning below my pinkie finger and moving up to my elbow. This pain was excruciating. Dr. King began laser treatments on a Wednesday and one again on Friday. By Saturday, the next day, I was without pain. I would and have recommended laser treatments, chiropractic treatments to many people since I began with King Chiropractic and will continue. Dr. King is one in a million. Her ability as a Chiropractor in my estimation is Aces!!! She always and continues to go the extra mile as a Doctor of Chiropractic as well as a human being. Sad to say I had a poor experience with King chiropractic despite reading rave reviews and a comfortable office environment. It was easy enough to get an appointment with Dr.King as staff was accommodating. Upon seeing the doctor for the first time she seemed quite distracted and despite my telling her that I had an umbilical hernia five minutes before getting on the table, she told me exercise would be a good idea when I was cautious about getting up from the table! Yes, if I wanted to go into emergency surgery. She further suggested surgery for two other issues and this was before xray's or palpation. I also told her that I had thyroid issues and she ordered an excessive series of neck xray's that has had a terrible effect on my thyroid. Once it was determined that I didn't have arthritis, she told me that trigger point therapy was what I needed and sent me away to get a book and do it myself. I am a massage therapist but I went to her for help, not self help. No further appointments were offered and I continue to deal with the pain and numbness despite all of the painful "trigger point". Time to see a neurologist and a doctor that listens. read more

She has always been so incredibly helpful and informative, explaining to me the way the body works and why the adjustments she's doing are helpful. I had severe upper back pain for two years, the doctors tried numerous things to help me, then they just put me on pills because nothing (including physical therapy worked). I heard through a friend about Dr. King and how she used the Graston Technique and how much it helped. At this point I was willing to try anything... I saw Dr. King for 3 15 minute sessions and my pain was 90% gone.. only when i did weights at the gym it came back. I went for a few more follow up appointments and now I'm 100% pain free.
