I booked a wax in Groupon for a good price thinking it was going to be a decent deal. I scheduled an appointment via her online program received the confirmation email and text. A few moments later o get another text saying the system had overbooked her. She asked to Reschedule so I did for the following Monday and she confirmed she was able to do it. The date of my new appointment she messages me once again and says she is ill and cannot come into work. Once she said that I went to yelp and started looking at the reviews and noticed this was a common recurring problem. Groupon is issuing my refund because I did not want to reschedule again just to possibly get cancelled again. Buyer be warned. read more

I was really eager to give Body Beautique a try so when I saw a Groupon deal I snapped it up! I left a voicemail about scheduling an appointment and when I hadn't heard back, scheduled through the scheduling website for Friday April 6 at 4:30. Tina emailed to confirm and also texted the morning of. Great professional follow through, I thought. By Friday afternoon I got a text saying Tina was now overbooked due to the scheduling system & could I reschedule for Saturday. Though inconvenient, I agreed to a 12:30 Saturday. After purchasing a $10 numbing spray I was one stoplight away from pulling in for my apptmt when Tina texted that again she needed to cancel, but I could reschedule (again). Ummm... no thx! 2 cancellations in less than 24 hours have me no hope of ever actually having the service performed at this business. Wish I could rate lower. Also wish I read the comments on here and Groupon prior to WASTING MY TIME. Very unprofessional with her scheduling and service. Never answered the phone. Takes along long time to reply back to text. I kept thinking why buy a Groupon I can never use?? She could be great at her job, I'll never know. I got my money back from Groupon and decided to warn others. Tina @ Body Beautique, no need to reply now, you sure didn't make an effort to reply to any of the phone calls or text messages I sent to you trying to figure out what the heck was going on with my appointment. *****An automated response can't respond to any concerns or questions I have. An automatic response can't wax me either so I'd prefer to speak with or text with the person doing the service not a computer. The only time she personally responded was to cancel my appointment same day within a few hours of it via text. No compensation just an apology. Took hours to hear from her again and she just referred me to a different company. Need to add, I had to use my credit card to set up my appointment so IF I WERE TO CANCEL OR NO SHOW, the payment would have come off my card anyways. Somehow seems a little one sided. It's okay for you Tina to be unprofessional with no penalty just a 'sorry' but I'd have to pay for doing the same thing. It was my first experience with her and def last. Tina is absolutely wonderful! I had bought a Groupon for a bikini wax, and she was very careful and made sure (like the other post) that there wasn't any unnecessary pain caused. And she talks almost the whole time, which is wonderful because, to me, it means she's getting to know you. I highly recommend this place. And I keep going back! read more

THIS IS A WARNING TO EVERYONE TRYING TO GET WAXED BY TINA. I bought a groupon for two waxes. I scheduled my first wax on a Monday afternoon. I received a text about an hour before my appointment saying she was traveling and wouldn't be able to make it for my appointment so she had to reschedule me for late that night. I took the appointment despite it ruining my plans because I needed the wax before I went out of town. I then scheduled my next wax about a month in advance. She knew i had this appointment for 30 days before the appointment! I made the wax for the day before I was leaving for vacation. Once again, I received a text saying she was traveling and had to cancel my appointment. I was thinking how absolutely ridiculous it is that she canceled on me both times and totally screwed me leaving me to find someone who could wax me in one day. After looking into reviews on her Facebook, groupon, and yelp I have seen that many of her clients have complained about her canceling appointments with all kinds of excuses (travel, sick, accident). I'm not sure what Tina has going on in her life but she seriously needs to get it together. There is no reason multiple people should have the same experience of her canceling multiple times on them. Once or twice is understandable because things happen, but I definitely do not recommend Tina for this reason alone. read more

I had scheduled appointments with Tina to prepare for my Wedding. Our first appointment she was 20 min late because she was getting a perm. The second appointment (2 days before the wedding) she cancelled 2 hours before the appointment with no explanation. I let my leg hairs grow out for 2 months and my bikini area for a month. She only offered a time 2 hours before my rehearsal - and I didn't want to be at my rehearsal with bright red legs. I was very disappointed and found Tina to be unprofessional and unreliable. I will not use her services again and will warn all my friends about her. read more

I bought a special for a waxing from Groupon. I planned ahead and scheduled my appointment a month in advance. I was in contact numerous times with the salon and 2 days before I was scheduled to get my wax she advised me there was a scheduling issue and told me I could get a refund from Groupon. I find this buisness to be super un professional. I am getting married in less than a week and I had planned ahead to make my event perfect. Not to mention it was my first wax and I allowed my leg hairs to grow out for three weeks as I was advised. I am so disappointed with this place!!!! read more

Up until the appointment - polite, responsive and professional. My friend bought her and I the groupon for a brazilian wax. We go for our appt and the doors are locked. I text and call the lady several times with no answer. My friend does the same. The entire time we are sitting in the parking lot for 40 minutes. I then get a voice mail from her with her kinda laughing (that her power went out, her phone stopped working and the landlord told her the building was locked?!?!) - noting the building directly next to this one had power, the outside lights were on. We did just have a t-storm but it wouldn't cause just one bldg to go out. Also, doors are locked and you know? Go unlock it and look for you customers! I immediately try to call back and again, no answer. It's all sketchy honestly and left us feeling quite ripped off as with Groupon, it's already paid for. Therfore a refund should be honored and I do not recommend. read more

I purchased a groupon for a wax at Body Beautique. Similar to a previous poster, I was contacted mere hours before my appointment... not just once, but TWICE... to cancel my appointment. The first time she claimed she was sick, which is understandable. But she was not helpful or responsive in rebooking me. And when I finally did rebook my appointment it was cancelled again, this time with no explanation. she just asked if I'd like to refund my Groupon. Apparently this is her standard response. Again, similarly to the previous poster, I was prepared for the wax and getting ready to leave on vacation. Tina left me in a lurch and I had to scramble to find a salon in Louisville who could do a wax on a Saturday before a holiday weekend!! If you're looking for a good wax, I most certainly wouldn't recommend this place. Tina was extremely inconsiderate and unprofessional. On the other hand, Focus Salon on Baxter got me in for a wax at the last minute, were reasonably priced, AND did a fantastic job. So check out Focus. read more
