Velo Glow Aesthetics is the studio of her dreams and it shows. Warm, comfortable, genuinely relaxing. There's always a fun movie or music on, and she reads the room on whether you want to chat or relax in silence. If you're new to waxing or sugaring, start here. Angela is the person you want for a first Brazilian. I have psoriasis and skin that can be very reactive, and she's worked with me to find the right products and assess my skin in the moment rather than assume. She's taught me more about my own hair and skin than anyone else has. That comes from the fact that she never stops learning: trainings, certifications, studying up. She won't use or recommend something she doesn't thoroughly understand, and after 15 years I've never once had to wonder about that. She's thorough and careful but also efficient. Appointments start and end on time. Booking is online, tap to pay at the studio, and her Grant Park location has plenty of free parking with several good food options within walking distance if you want to make a trip of it. You're still getting hair sugared off your netherbits, and no one can change that, but she has the magic touch and she's good company, which takes most of the edge off.

I was corresponding on Instagram with the owner about my post op care once surgery was complete. However, since Covid-19 I have had to postpone my procedure but I still decided to go in and check out the other services they provided. She communicated very well with me online and took the time to answer any and all questions even before I booked a service. I felt like she cared and she takes time with new clients. There is plenty of parking in front, once you enter you're greeted and the studio is beautiful and very clean. There was a calm, pleasant feeling when entering. I was able to meet Toni, the owner as she was the one providing my services on this day. She had a consultation with me first to make sure she understood my expectations and then discussed what services they provided. She was honest and extremely knowledgeable about the body and suggested some great options so that we can start my transition to my goals. I wasn't nervous at all about the services but she made sure to go over every detail with me and made sure I understood what was happening next and the benefits. I started a series with her, so I'll be returning weekly and I love it. I could see a change immediately after the service but several visits are suggested to reach your true body goals. Sometimes, but that is always a possibility when sticking needles inside you; however, they do take every precaution not to bruise you. I honestly don't mind. Dr. Edie was knowledgeable, caring, and gave excellent advice. The MedSpa itself is beautiful and relaxing. The staff at check-in is also friendly. In addition to an annual physical, I also scheduled a deep tissue massage with Shaprell Jones. It was amazing! Her approach is intentional and caring. Her ability to zero in on a tight area and concentrate her efforts to resolve the tension is impressive. The spa room is also very comfortable. The massage table is warm and Shaprell adds a special touch to the experience by placing a calming scent under the head rest to promote relaxation.
