Edward and Phyllis have created a unique gym with half hour classes (with some exceptions) running through out the day -cardio/boxing and weight training. You don't have to plan ahead and if you find you have spare half hour, just drop on in, although they would appreciate a reservation on a handy app -zen planner. There is a 6 week challenge which includes an eating plan, weekly weight ins and eating counseling. I have found that you have to be responsible to make that happen. They will not chase you down for the weight ins. They are very invested in your success, which by the way (no pun intended) gets you a free one month membership. Edward is an incredible boxing instructor and is a really "up" kind of guy which helps you to get through the tough classes. Each class is unique and you may never have the same exercise twice in 6 months. The exercises can be modified for your particular body issues. The novelty helps to keep you going. Every day BodyOne Team prepares a new set of HIIT Cardio and Strenght exercises. You will exercise with a trainer who will show you how to do those exercises correctly, to get the desired effect. Exercises are conducted in small groups. Very rich equipment of the gym gives the possibility of a variety of exercises. For me, as an inexperienced person in fitness , what I like most is the fact that you don't have to do anything yourself. The trainer trains with us, shows everything. As someone who spent years paying for a gym membership that I barely used, I was a little hesitant to join the program at Body O.N.E. After the first week, I realized that the program Phyllis and Edward have put together not only was motivational, but challenging and dare I say fun at the same time. After the first month when I started seeing results I started looking forward to the "torture" of going the gym every day. The variety of the program keeps it interesting while the explanation of the exercises you do help you learn what you're doing at the gym. I only regret not signing up with them earlier. I have completed the 6 week challenge, met my goal, pushed through physical obstacles I didn't think I could accomplish, got the results I wanted and more, and gained a family all at the same time. Let me start by saying I hate(d) lifting weights, but it is scientifically proven to increase your metabolism, which is beneficial if you're trying to lose weight and maintain muscle. So, that said, I started going to Body O.N.E. to get the motivation I needed to improve my overall fitness (toned body) and nutrition (weight loss) goals. The trainers post a new and unique strength/HIIT session on the board every day and coach you along the way to ensure you establish proper form with the appropriate weight for your fitness level. So folks! I've been working out with the body one team here in Key West since the end of May! And I have to say I am feeling fantastic, my brain functions better, I have more energy, and the best part is I am taking care of myself now! Body ONE is by far my favorite gym I've been to!! (and trust me, I've been to a lot of gyms) Other gyms just didn't seem to work for me for one reason or another. But at Body ONE working in a small private group with the owner Edward and his wife Phyllis changed my life and my body dramatically. Great fitness and nutrition program that has proven results. I have been going for about 3 weeks and the trainers are amazing! They motivate you and don't allow you to quit! Body One is a great place to workout! Gym is very clean with a friendly atmosphere. My wife and I are visiting KW for a month, and after much research, decided to book private training with Edward. What a great choice! Edward is very knowledgeable and gives us a great workout every time. A different work out everyday. 30 minutes of strength training and 30 minutes of cardio. I say the worst and best hour of the day. Worst because how challenging the work outs are for a person my age, best because of how great you feel after the work out and the rest of the day. Not a gym where you go for free weights or to look at yourself. It's a solid fitness curriculum. It's well-organized with trainers who know what they're doing and who make the workouts fun and engaging. Everyone is very respectful! It's an amazing, unique environment and always a great workout.
