My primary therapist is Heather Lampe, DPT, but I also give high grades to Martin and Logan (also DPTs). I am sure these folks have bad days, but they never show that to their clients/patients. They are pleasant, witty, kind and patient. They are also challenging when it is appropriate. Justin, the first person you meet, keeps the schedules organized and works to adjust the schedule to meet your needs. Heather is particularly adept at adjusting exercises to meet your needs. I know I have made the incredible progress I have since my 7/13 surgery because of A) my surgeon's skill (Dr. David Kolessar), B) the skill and personality of the therapists at Integrated Physical Therapy, and C) my own determination and commitment to my recovery.

I don't go to anyone but her as I have never had any PT know what she knows. The only bad thing at this location is the loud noise factor. When people do not have clients they talk very loud and laugh loud so that the rest of us trying to work with our therapist cannot be relaxed, it's very disconcerting. No problem, they tilt in so I don't have to go outside, etc. I'm almost done and I notice that there's a tiny gap at the top of one of the windows where it didn't quite make it all the way up. Hmmm....what to do. Oh, I know. Get on a kitchen chair and just push it up the rest of the way. Note that my kitchen chairs are on wheels, and they rock backwards so you can kick back. As I was rolling the chair up to the wall, I remember thinking this perhaps wasn't a good idea. Then, nah, it will only be a second, I'll be fine. You can guess what happened next: The chair started to roll, and so I grabbed the window sill to stop it, then the chair tilted backwards and I'm on the floor, with one sore shoulder. FDC took me to Urgent Care where they declared it a sprain, two weeks later Ortho announces it's a broken bone, and six weeks after that I'm sent to PT for 'stretching'. So off I go to Excel Physical Therapy. They're in the old Bell Telephone Building in between the old Viking Inn and St. Colman's Catholic church on Lancaster Ave. There's a lot accessible from Lancaster and also from Church Road. They're on the second floor, the facility is clean, bright and open. I'm evaluated by Andrew Bacon, who becomes my regular PT. Andrew was the consummate clinician: professional, friendly, careful and thorough. He gave me increasingly challenging activities to do during sessions and at home, and six weeks later I'm nearly pain free. I hope I never have to go back, because PT is not fun, however I'm so glad to have worked with Andrew to get myself back to who I was.

I went to Excel PT (formerly Apex) in Blue Bell, PA which I had gone to years ago when I had surgery on my knee. Nothing had changed except the name. The people that work there are fantastic! From the desk to the Therapists! They treat everyone special and give much support all their patients, no matter their problems. I was assigned to Angela Tate and Rachael who were both fantastic. My shoulder is back to normal and I left with information on how to keep everything moving perfect! I need that at 68 years of age. They gave me steps to take at home so when I was not there I could continue my progress to get better faster. Both Angela and Rachael kept close eye on my progress through out all the visits and I knew exactly what I needed to do to get better fast. I did drive farther going to this site, but it was well worth the time and effort and money.

They are, by far, the most thorough and beneficial physical therapy I have ever had. In the past, with other pt, I wasn't really feeling it and never continued. With Andrew and Brian, I couldn't wait for my next appt to see how much progress I was making. Andrew rehabbed my broken ankle to near 100%. I now have a script for core and other muscles that have weakened from lack of use due to the ankle injury. I know I will be well cared for and everything I say will be heard and taken seriously. After a warm up on the stationary bike, I casually said I had a headache. I was surprised when Andrew asked me why I had a headache. For some reason I said, "I don't know... high blood pressure?" I didn't have a high blood pressure diagnosis at that point so I don't know why I said that. Andrew put a BP cuff on me and sure enough my blood pressure was very high. I am now under my doctor's care and monitoring my blood pressure regularly.

My previous PT at another place didn't help much and I gave up on doing PT. Excel completely changed my impression on what PT was like, and now I feel super hopeful about regaining strength and mobility in my right arm and shoulder. The clinic is very clean, spacious, and comfortable to work one on one with my PT as well as doing my exercises. The staff is very kind and fun to be around. My PT, Jen, is just wonderful. She is very knowledgeable, professional, and easy to talk to. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone who needs physical therapy. I cannot speak highly enough of the quality of care I receive in this office. I know I am a difficult patient to treat but with patience, persistence and careful attention to my medical history, my concerns were addressed with thoughtful and thorough diagnostic procedures and alternative methods of care. I'm now fully functional which was not the case with prior providers. This provider will, when necessary, also consult and work with other providers. Likewise, other providers have also respected and worked with them in order to help me. The office staff is pleasant, courteous and easy to work with. Insurance coverage has never been a problem. Fees for services not covered by insurance are always clearly stated and discussed. Nurse Practitioner Lela Gould diligently provides ongoing care and treatment which has relieved many of my lifelong health issues. At every visit, she inquires about my general health and overall state of well-being, monitors recommended lifestyle and dietary changes and continues to monitor my body chemistry with appropriate blood tests. She also orders other tests and diagnostic procedures as necessary. Lela has a very caring manor, is extremely knowledgeable and happy to do background research to help me address my unique issues. She is a wonderful teacher explaining the why and what of the treatment plan and the reason for each procedure and/or recommendation. She is patient, kind and happy to answer any question. We've been going to Dr. Lipton for about 20 years now and his evaluations and treatment are spot on. It's a pretty decent drive (distance & timewise) for us but it's worth the trip. His treatments vary per ailment or injury and he always follows up with us on results of scans, tests or blood work. He recommends preventative measures that we find very effective and neither my wife or I take any prescription medications and haven't for almost 20 years. He is very knowledgeable and continues to learn and evolve with the times and we would trust no other doctor as much as Dr. Lipton for advice and treatment.
