The Process We met with Jana a few times in person and over email and calls to decide on our package. Jana was incredibly professional, kind and honest. She didn't try to upsell anything and listened to all of our asks. She was an absolute pleasure to work with and made sure we felt confident our vision was going to be executed. About 6 weeks prior to the wedding Body Rock sent us a questionnaire to confirm our song selections and provide information about our wedding. We talked everything over with Jana and we were good to go! About 2 weeks out, we were assigned John and Nico as MC and DJ. The Event John and Nico - thank you!- they really made our night special! They listened to all of our requests and respected it. John and Nico received a lot of compliments. They had a great mix of music! This place is the Bomb for an up to date one stop shopping for your special event needs. I was highly recommended to come to Body Rock entertainment for my daughter's sweet 16. I had seen Body Rock's DJ and MC did a few events at Westbury Manor and I absolutely loved everything they did. Anything that you need for a party with a DJ they can provide you up to and even a lounge area with white couches. So I made an appointment with the branch to go to his office see some videos of an MC to pick out and what they had to offer. He listened carefully at what I wanted and what I thought my needs were for my daughter's sweet 16. He was very honest in telling me things that people have used and he thought were just a waste and not necessary for a sweet 16 party. He also told me that whatever I didn't get it was very easy to get it at a later time before the party. Rich said I didn't have to pay everything upfront or even monthly as long as 30 days prior to the party it was paid for in full. Fast forward two months I went back to give him the payment and internal brought my daughter to get a chance to see everything as well. And with that I also booked his photographer and videographer for the event. On his office floor there is also a gal who does invitations, favors, thank you cards, decorated boxes for envelopes and everything you'll need for decorating a party. She was very nice she had an extremely large selection and will definitely be going to her when the time is closer. Rich was so easy to talk to and I trusted his opinion. His prices are not cheap and I believe he is compatible to other high and DJs. You get what you pay for! I would so highly recommend Body Rock for any of your party needs. We had such a great experience booking Body Rock for our wedding this past Saturday. We began dealing with Rich and he was amazing the whole way through. He helped us choose songs and the flow of the event. He added in the songs that we wanted but also knew which songs to play based on what the crowd was doing. We had asked if he could be our DJ for the event and he agreed. We also loved our MC Sergio. He did a great job getting my guests up on the dance floor. I read another review that said they were surprised that they needed cash on the day of. We doublechecked with every vendor and every single vendor required cash for the balance on the day of. So it wasn't a problem because we brought the right amount for everyone. We didn't even pay them until the end of the night and everything was fine. The only good thing about this dj was the saxophone player. He was amazing. Other wise the dj lied to us and basically stole our money during covid. We went to them and ask for a discount since we are not allowed to dance at our wedding due to covid restrictions. Rich assured us that the halls were just saying that and we would need 5k worth of dj for the dancing. He did say that if we couldn't dance that the dj would find other ways to entertain us, such as trivia games.... we got to the wedding and besides the sax they screwed everything up. They called the wrong person to do the best man speech. We requested two first dance songs they played the same song twice. And if we requested a song they never played it. Amazing experience with this company. John was our MC and Dino was our DJ. They were extremely punctual, organized and ready to have a great time when we arrived. They did an amazing job keeping the crowd entertained and even got people onto the dance floor who typically don't dance. Their energy was amazing. We booked our reception with The Somerley at the Fox Hollow, and Body Rock was one of their recommended vendors. It was a tough decision between Body Rock and one other vendor. But after meeting with Jana and watching just one video, my fiancé was sold. He saw MC Spyder's high energy and I had read fantastic reviews, so we decided to book them. NO REGRETS!!!! MC Spyder delivered that high energy that we wanted. He paid attention to every detail: name pronunciation, silly requests like dedicating a song from the groom to the groom, and the exact timing of the entrance songs. BUT the most amazing detail was that even though we canceled our first dance due to lack of practice and nerves; he surprised us and played it anyway. There was a point where too many people were coming up to us for photos, so we decided to walk away from our table and slow dance. Dinner was just being served, so the floor was empty. We just wanted to slow dance and talk and then we heard our song. We were so surprised and looked over and MC Spyder and DJ Dino, and we couldn't have been happier. We tried out the moves we had practiced, and I think hardly anyone saw us and it was a perfect moment for two very shy people. The night progressed, and I heard from my father (I was away for photos) that Spyder had gotten everyone (except maybe two people) on the dance floor. The tables were empty, and people from teenagers to in their 60s and 70s were on that floor. That made me so happy because we really wanted our guests to enjoy themselves. Guests were coming up to us and even my parents; amazed and speaking highly of Spyder. I'm very very happy we booked Body Rock, and at the end of the night, I had a chance to talk with Spyder. I, the groom was approached by our Body Rock MC with a folder that contained our instructions for our evening and music i.e. First dance, Bridal Party introductions etc. The very first thing that our MC pointed out, was the remaining balance due. That kind of rubbed me the wrong way, but I tried not to let it bother me. The folder also contained a highlighted copy of a specific list of songs for the evening that we went over with the owner of the company two weeks prior to the event. My Wife and I sat with the owner of Body Rock and we went over our music. The following week we emailed her our list of requests and acfinalized copy of our spicific song requested. We wanted our Bridal Party to be introduced with their own songs. However, we were told that it was not recommended (a.k.a. too much work) and we should only pick two songs. We ended up just doing two songs because we didn't want any issues with the music. Now it is totally understandable that it's impossible to play every song on our list, but it is completely unacceptable that out of that entire list only about 10 songs were actually played. Almost 3/4 of the list was never played including a spicific song that was supposed to be our last song of the evening. We don't understand why that happened. The music was really important to us and we were disappointed with the delivery of our list. We paid a good amount of money and to be honest, we could've saved a hell of a lot more had we known this would've been the outcome. The MC did do his job and kept people on the floor and the lights were worth the extra money, but other then that I would not use Body Rock again. read more

He did not play the right song for the brides walk in and did not provide a microphone for the speaker during the ceremoney. The music that was played was nothing special. A lot of what we had agreed to have played was not played. The Sax player was a waist of money as he didnt play much. At my wedding I had paid to feed all the Vendors so they all had access to drink eat and enjoy themselves. At the end of the reception, after I had tipped all of the music crew $100 a piece, the DJ as nasty as he is extorted an additional $100 from me saying that he bought and downloaded music just for my event and felt that he deserved more money as gratuity. Don't waist your money, go someplace else and get yourself a good cheaper DJ or a DJ worth the money you are going to spend, a DJ that will not ruin your special day. read more

We hired Body Rock to play at our wedding. We met with the coordinator at Body Rock who explained that they have a number of DJs and we wouldn't meet ours till the morning of the wedding but she would make sure the person knew exactly what we wanted. Included in the package was a montage of videos of my husband and I both growing up and as a couple. When the montage was played, the music was synced incorrectly so the song that should have played with one set of pics played with the next, etc. The dj played good music but we requested a mix of Latin and English songs. He played 3 Latin songs at the start and that was it. He also would abruptly stop a song to put another on so people would lose their rhythm. During the dinner hour, he played a song about weed. I had to laugh. Most of my guests had a great time anyway and we danced our asses off. but I still wouldn't recommend Body Rock knowing that whatever DJ you get for the day is a toss-up. read more

My husband and I had booked Body Rock to play at our wedding. I had added a percussionist and payed 300 extra to extend the party a half hour to cover Venetian hour. On the wedding day, after many months of planning, I thought I was all set to enjoy my special day. I was approached by the dj for payment prior to the ceremony. I hadn't noticed that they required cash as a final payment....my husband had issued an official bank check. They basically refused to play and threatened to leave unless they got cash. They called their boss to check if it was ok and Paul must have told them cash only because they refused to play. We offered to get cash after the wedding...they refused. Perhaps Body Rock doesn't want to claim a full amount in taxes...but I had no other problems with other vendors and bank checks that evening. As we all know bank checks are cash and paid for. All in all the party was delayed 20 minutes, so the extra 300 was basically flushed down the toilet. To get them to play my groom had to leave the wedding to get cash! After all this the MC had the nerve to hit on my bridesmaid! All in all why go with a vendor that does not care about possibly ruining your wedding day. Every time I reflect upon my wedding I can not get the stress they caused out of mind. To top the cake the maitre d' was adamant about tipping them at the end of the evening! read more

My sister hired them as their DJ. The MC was terrible. Looked like he was doing us a favor by being there. I, as well as others, asked him to play a specific song and he kept saying "yea yea right after this". He never played it. I could have created the same playlist on my laptop as the DJ played.
