The instructor ( Joanna) created instruction manual's for everyone in the class. The class included Reiki history, and Reiki practice exercise and everything that you would need to practice Reiki for yourself and others. The instructor was always available for any question that I had even outside of the class. I have a child with Autism and aggression, my family and I were under a lot of stress. I was amazed how much Joanna cared about my family and atoned my autistic son to Reiki 1. Once my son was atoned he no longer hit and we were able to calm him down a lot better. Everyday my son and I practice Reiki and this has been such a healing experience for myself and my family.

I've seen Liz on and off for several years for shiatsu massage which actually has significantly helped with my asthma. Now that I have begun my nursing career, I find shiatsu to be a great addition to help avoid muscle injury and fatigue. Liz is also a licensed physical therapist and incorporates her training and experience in PT into her shiatsu practice. Liz is down-to-earth and friendly and happy to chat with you during your session or respect your preference for silence. She doesn't use any offensive, scented oils or lotions in her practice and you get to keep your clothes on! She makes sure to check in with you to ask about pain throughout the treatment. Her fee is very reasonable in my opinion - $90 for one hour. You pay Liz directly for scheduling and payment so there is no having to deal with the Becoming Center as a middle-man. The space she uses is warm and relaxing and comfortable. I would recommend her to anyone who is interested in finding an experienced shiatsu practitioner not connected to a spa.

I had never tried reiki before I met Marie. I arrived at her office a few minutes ahead of my appointment and filled out the necessary paperwork. The waiting room has plush furniture, smells beautiful and has soft lighting. When it was time to begin, I entered the room with a table (similar to a massage table.) The natural light pouring through the windows, calming music and lovely and minmalistic decor all added to the feeling of peace I felt immediately. I laid face up, got comfortable and the session began. Since we had talked about what to expect, I felt prepared for the hands held over points of my body (not touching), and some of what was said (some statements, some questions that are a brief conversation between her and I). But I was not prepared for the intense feelings I experienced - like glowing light radiating from my core, a soft, warm blanket enveloping my body, the feeling of my breath in my chest and my heart beat and blood in my veins more significant - both physically and mentally. The entire experience lasted about 90 minutes, but it felt more like 30-40. I was never unconscious, but felt close to a dream-like state for much of the session. Marie's voice was soothing and she herself exudes a bright energy that is both calming and invigorating. I honestly can say that the first session has already helped me. I feel more centered, more in tune with my body, more aware of the way my mind is working and how I am connected to my environment. These things are hard to quantify (I feel 60% more aware!) but I can tell you the feeling is like none other. Similar to self care routines of exercise, massage and preventive doctor visits, I will be incorporating reiki into my routine. I live in Philadelphia, but will gladly make the trip to Swarthmore to visit Marie again soon. If you are considering reiki, this would be a perfect first experience.

I became aware of Lady Tatianna quite accidentally in early 2014; I was searching online for any traces regarding current contact information for an intuitive consultant in Pennsylavania whom I had realized, in hindsight, had given me a very accurate intuitive reading 25 years ago, back in 1990. While searching for current information on the man in question via a Google search, I found a mention of him on Lady Tatianna's website, wherein she stated that she had studied with him about 30-35 years ago. However, when I contacted her, it turned out that she had not been in contact witih the man for at least 30 years. In the wake of that brief encounter with her, I eventually contacted Tatianna and asked for a telephone reading, making it clear that I did not have any questions, concerns or issues, and that thus I wanted a basic life reading; she knew relatively little about me at that time, and I wanted the reading to be as much a "cold reading" as possible. Tatianna agreed to do the reading under those somewhat restrictive terms, and, after I had sent her the funds via an online paysite, we set up a time for a one-hour phone reading. I found Tatianna's reading to be quite accurate. She and her guides and angels saw/knew a number of very significant things about my current life and my past, and about my life path and my inner world, that she could not have learned in any other way (i.e., via an online search, etc.). And, best, she was able to tie all that together in a meangingful way. Despite the fact that I had made clear to her that I was not looking for predictions about my future (because it is very hard for a psychic to make accurate predictions about the future in most realms, due, in part, to free will), Tatianna insisted upon spending the last ten minutes of the reading offering me an overview of what she saw for me in the next 6 to 12 months.
