This review is long overdue. I've been under reconstruction the last year and a half. I was overweight, bloated, picked up bad habits over the years and wasn't living up to my potential. I knew I was capable of better, and changes had to be made for me to live my best and healthiest life. I met and started training with Randy in late 2023. Not only has Randy changed my physical appearance, but he's helped improve my mindset. With his help, I've lost 35 pounds to my current weight of 115 lbs. It wasn't easy - no injections or surgery - I did the work and gutted it out. There was a lot of sweat, tears and vomit involved: Sweat because of the intensity of the 4x a week workouts. Tears (so many tears) because mentally I was not in a great place when I started, was mad at myself for getting to this point, and knew of the hard work in front of me to get where I wanted to be. Vomit because I had never been pushed this hard and my body was reacting. Together we worked on meal plans, food portions, protein/carb intake, devised new workouts, made adjustments and continuously set goals. Last April, I eliminated alcohol from my diet and combined with the intense training, the weight just started to fall off. That's when I turned a corner: I was locked in, followed his plan to a T and made it my full-time job to shed this weight. With his encouragement, I implemented the new habits I was acquiring so as not to fall back into old ways. Randy introduced me to his "destructive vs. constructive" way of thinking. Using this simple concept, I cleaned house by eliminating and blocking people who were being haters, not believing or respecting the new rules and boundaries I had to establish to stay on track. I would ask myself "Does this align with the life I'm trying to create" to make decisions with how I spend my time, so I've been finding creative, constructive things that do align with that and go about it alone. Last August, I was ready to and eliminated the worst habit I had and have not looked back. I feel so much sharper, clear headed, calmer, mentally stronger, happier, sleeping better, my skin looks amazing, my joint pain is gone, and my balance/coordination is better. My legs are shapelier, shoulders and arms are toned, I have muscles I never knew I had, and my confidence is sky high. I especially see the difference in my face - my cheekbones are more defined, and the bloat is gone. I'm still getting used this new way of living, thinking, eating, and the different and weird kind of attention when I'm out. At some point I'll remerge from this introverted life I've been living but I'm in no rush and am enjoying my peace. I still train with Randy every Sunday at 6 a.m. - I like the intensity of his workouts and it keeps me accountable to not be up or out late, so I show up on time, ready to work. I was ready, needed and wanted to make these changes and this is just the beginning - I will NEVER give up on myself. This process has not been pretty, but the results, the sense of accomplishment, the lessons learned, changes made. the way I feel has all been worth it and I'm fortunate to be in this position. I got so much more than just a trainer: Randy is positive, passionate about health, sobriety, a great motivator, is no-nonsense, does not mince words, is not for everyone but he was exactly for me, when I really needed it. If you're ready to get real with yourself, make a change in your life, and willing to put in the work, Randy is who you've been looking for - he's truly the best. read more
