I went to another chiropractor before I found BodyDoc and Dr. Potts. I have been having mid-back pain and have been to Dr. Potts twice now. Not only is he knowledgable, but he takes the time to really understand how I injured the area and what he could do to help. What I wasn't expecting was the "adjusting hours". Your first visit - you'll need to make an appointment, which is about a 1/2 hr, so Dr. Potts can get to know you, understand your issue, and adjust you. From then on, you can just walk-in during "adjusting hours" to get adjusted within minutes (depending on how many people are waiting). I was even able to take my toddler, contained in their stroller, to my walk-in adjustment! I'll continue going back to Dr. Potts and BodyDoc as we work on healing my back issue. read more

Needed an adjustment and was referred by my nurse coworker. Dr. Potts is amazing! I've been needing an adjustment since the shutdown. The location is easy to find and the place inside is neat and tidy. The lady upfront welcomed with a smile and is very friendly. I've received chiropractic care for almost 20 years, and was a chiropractic assistant after college. Let me tell you, there are some shady people in the industry who stop caring about you once your insurance runs out. This is a hard review to write because I really like Dr Potts. Unfortunately I've recently had an adjustment (and this is the second time it has happened) that ended up with painfully bruised ribs. Regretfully I won't be able to go again as the pain lasts for weeks till the ribs heal. read more

If you have a pain Dr. Potts is extremely knowledgeable and he will be able to adjust you quickly. When I went the first time I had been in pain for a few days. I had been to a few other chiropractors but he was the only one that found the problem and fixed it in one visit. The curse of great chiropractors is that they are able to fix you in one visit. As I started going less often, I noticed that the letters from my insurance were reporting follow up examination charges but it seemed I was receiving the same 10 minute adjustments. With this item the total cost of a visit is about $200. Dr. Potts is great but $1,200 a hour seems a little excessive. I also over-heard Dr Potts talking with the secretary about insurance limits and, for what I understood, they were saying they could not charge as much. I still pay the the same small co-payments so from a customer prospective it may not seem like a big problem. But if you have a low maximum annual expenditure limit for chiropractor visits, high charges may mean that you may not go to the chiropractor many times in a year before having to pay full out of pocket. It may just be my perception but the situation eroded my trust. So, considering my first time experience, when the doctor tells me "Come back tomorrow if it still hurts", when the next day I still have pain, I am not sure the cause is I really needed more work or the doctor partially adjusted me so the next day I can go back and pay more. read more

I had no idea that our backs could move the way they did when we visited Dr Potts last night. Our initial minor pain has slowly gotten worse over the years, so we finally decided to seek help. I loved this office from the moment I called and spoke to his support representative Lori/Laurie. She's so kind, we laughed on that initial phone call. My husband and I showed up early for our evening appointment, and Dr Potts spent an hour and a half with us-- getting to know us, learning about how we got the way we are, our jobs and hobbies-- all of it. I was shocked after leaving how much time he was willing to spend with us. He's got a family and children- but made the time in the late evening for us. He made a point to tell us what he wanted to do to for discovering the diagnosis and doing the adjustments, then asked if that would be okay-- every time. Very conscious of his space and our space- I was very thankful. He was clear that we are responsible for our own health-- he's right! We could go in for adjustments in the future and then the all other hours of the day do the exact opposite of what he recommends and it won't be worth a thing. I felt really empowered to take his suggestions because I want this pain gone. Very friendly. Very interactive. I LOVE the drop in adjustment service-- no need for an appointment! I get to come in when I have a free few minutes, WHAT A BREEZE! I wish I would have sought help for this sooner! read more

Dr. Potts has been my family's Chiropractor for years. He's excellent in his diagnosis and treatment. Every time we come in for a visit we are always treated like family. So much, Dr. Potts takes the time to show our three year old toddler the "ins and outs" of Chiropractic; adjusting her and allowing her to "be his assistant" while adjusting family members. I had neck and back pains in 2006 which gave me 24/7 bad headache. I decided to go my family doctor (Kaiser) to find a solution. When I told my family doctor about my symptoms, they said that maybe because of all my business's stresses caused my muscles to spasm. I was very healthy with no medical history so I thought to myself Okay, let just agree with my doctor's words and went home with Bio Freeze. I went home and my neck, back and headache gradually got worse. I could not even perform my normal everyday activities. I went back to Kaiser to request for CAT scan. The test came back negative. I told Kaiser that I felt my neck and shoulder were not in alignment but the doctor did not listen to me. I told them that could it be that my spine is out of alignment. I asked if I should see a chiropractor but my doctor said that Kaiser plan did not cover chiropractic care. This time the doctor at Kaiser said that maybe I was depressed. I was very surprised and did not want to be on medication. Kaiser prescribed me anti-depression med. I canceled my Kaiser plan and I refused to take anti-depression medication so I decided to take matter in my own hand. I began to search for chiropractors in my area and referred by friends. I went to one chiropractor to another chiropractor and yet there was no relief. I went to 5 chiropractors within 3 years but no one can give me the remedy. They diagnosed me with scoliosis and whiplash. I was very disappointed in all the treatments and ready to seek for surgery as a solution. I made an appointment with orthopedic surgeon for consultation but I was too scared of the post surgery problems. I decided to think about it more and went on with excruciating headache every day. In July 2009, I met a client at my business and he referred me to Dr. Potts. I went under treatment for three months and I began to feel great. I was treated for one year. I decided to stop treatment in September 2010 because I felt great and cut cost. In June of 2011, I decided to come back to do my 6 months routine and I found out that Dr. Potts was not at the office anymore. I looked for him but couldn't find him. I tried two difference chiropractors but they could not give me any relief and yet they caused more pain to my neck. I began to search for Dr. Potts on the internet and I am so glad to find him again. His new office now is also accepting insurance which helps me significantly in the payment. I have been adjusted by many other chiropractors before, but I prefer Dr. Potts' technique. I always end up with more pains when other chiropractors adjusted me. He is a wonderful chiropractor. He knows his patients very well. His adjustments are very gentle and effective. Unlike other chiropractors, he always knows where I need to be adjusted. Some background: I was rear ended by a drunk driver while stopped in rush hour traffic. The impact was so hard that my car was totaled and I suffered major head, back and neck trauma. The pain wasn't going away with the prescribed medication so my wife suggested looking into alternate ways to get on the mend. A great chiropractor, Dr. Potts is not only very professional but also super friendly and welcoming. I was suffering from horrible headaches daily, and a few good neck and back adjustments fixed me right up. The first session I was just expecting him to feel around my spine and then quickly adjust me based on what he found, but he took the time (well after office hours!) to assess my daily routine, determine what was causing the issues, and then recommending things I can do apart from getting adjustments. He was also very honest when I asked how often I should go, a very nice change since most chiropractors just want you to go once a week or more! I was seen by Dr. Potts 3 weeks with lower back pain. He looked at my X-Ray and stated it looks awful but without any hesitation in 10 min of our conversation, he pressed my upper back between my blades so forceful . I experienced extreme pain in my right upper rib and I heard a sound of burst like something was ruptured.He said" it's OK I could not fracture it." I came next day and told him, I am in pain. He still did his manipulations. Pain became unbearable. It happened 3 weeks ago, and I still can not move my right arm without pain , take deep breath, sneeze or cough.I can not sleep some nights at all and can not function without 3 tab of Motrin a day. I am RN involved in patient care.He is basically disabled me. He could not jump on the patient as soon as you see him/her,he needs to think first three times about his "plan of care" before he starts a treatment considering age, condition and etc.. I have the strong feeling, he thinks more about money than about patients.He took his time to explain prices and etc. I have written e-mail to him and he did not reply at all. Between what I do for exercise, what I do for work, and what I do for fun, I put a lot of abuse into my body, so I appreciate what Jeff can do to help 'fix' all the muscular and joint problems I run into.
