I found Bodyline per recommendation for their Pilates instructor training. I started with their mat series in August 2025 and am currently going through their reformer series, ending in June 2026. Maria, Miku, and Colette are phenomenal instructors. I have learned so much in my personal Pilates practice as well as from an instructor standpoint. As someone who doesn't have the "traditional" Pilates background (I'm not a dancer, I come from sports and weightlifting), I've found that Bodyline is supportive and welcoming to all human experiences. The students are as diverse here as you'll experience anywhere. I've taken private lessons from Colette and am just starting group classes at the studio. It's great to be able to put in practice what you learn in class in the actual studio to reinforce concepts and get familiar with expected choreo and queues before the test-out. I've noticed such an improvement in my own practice, both inside and outside of Pilates, due to the personalized feedback I've gotten here and thorough information I've learned about corrections for lumbar lordodis and hip popping. I have done Pilates all over Los Angeles, mostly Mid City, WEHO and BH and hands down, Bodyline is my favorite. All of the instructors are great, but ESPECIALLY Lisa Nicotera. The classes are always on time and there is a variety. The studio is well-appointed with the best equipment, and is immaculate. I have been trying out various pilates studios and so far Bodyline has been my favorite experience so far. I enjoyed the pace of the class and instruction combined with the fluidity of the sequence, offering for modifications (easier and tougher) as well as teachers demonstrations of moves. I came to BodyLine on 6/29 for my first virtual mat class with Maria Leone and then immediately signed up for Teacher Training with her. I did my research like I do with everything in my life and when I selected be trained by Maria I was signing up based on her reputation, her discipline, teaching technique and her execution with every exercise. I'm only interested in virtual classes. The teacher at Bodyline was excellent over zoom. I could follow his cues even when in positions where I couldn't focus on my screen and needed to only listen. He made good use of pauses during moments when the class needed to change the equipment--springs, footbars, boxes--and didn't fill the quiet moments with idle chatter. I actually stumbled upon Bodyline because it's in my neighborhood... after attending a few classes I quickly realized just how lucky I am that this is the case. This is my favorite pilates studio I've ever been to! The classes here are the perfect size, not too small not too big (I believe max per class is 6-8 people). The reformers are super nice and easy to use, and the studio is always clean with great amenities. I really love that each teacher has their own unique style, it makes coming on different days fun and different! I always try to make Lisa and Alyssa's classes when I can, their classes are always challenging, but they are so encouraging and keep it fun! LA fitness studios in general aren't always the most welcoming, so it's been really refreshing to find Bodyline where everyone is super kind and supportive - instructors and classmates alike! read more

This is an good Pilates studio with an excellent front desk manager. The facility is clean. The Reformers are Balanced Body with a nice large padded bar and multiple holes on the side so the bar can go anywhere. Also, there's free valet during the weekdays. On weekends, there's no valet. I have only taken Maria's classes here so far, as I have heard from Pilates enthusiasts and Pilates instructors that she is one of the best Classical Pilates instructors in Los Angeles and produces the best instructors in the area as well. After taking her classes I can see why. She really, really understands the classical Pilates format, anatomy of the body, the purpose of each move and what is engaged during the move. She's also very hands on with her adjustments. I did hear from Pilates instructors that for her classes, she can be very tough. I expected "tough" to mean a couple things: advanced moves, fast pace, going in deep with the most "basic" of moves (it's why I love Pilates, one little change and it can make a move easier or harder and change where in the body the sensation goes). I didn't realize that her approach reminded me of when I used to take ballet as a little girl. She's no-nonsense, strict, to the point and blunt with her style of teaching. She points out what is wrong and will call you out on fixing it, even if it means she is doing that to you the whole class. She can even get a tiny bit rough with the hands on adjustments. Again, very classic ballet style. I have not tried her other instructors at her studio and I might go back and try them out to see how they approach their classes. Because as good as Maria is, and she is VERY good, I will never take her classes again. Her approach to teaching made me feel so terrible, I considered quitting Pilates entirely. If you're looking for someone who approaches Classic Pilates that way, her classes and I think her whole studio will be right up your alley. And that's great! Everyone has a different teaching approach. I just wanted to share my experience because maybe this type of teaching style might not be your cup of tea, like it wasn't for me. read more

I've been a long time customer but if Bodyline is going to continue to treat ClassPass users as second class citizens in their studio then they simply shouldn't be on ClassPass. To refuse a loyal customer who comes weekly of parking validation the one time when I couldn't get street parking due to street cleaning restrictions is horrible customer service. I have respected the policy despite thinking it was unfair, but to make no exceptions when they know when street parking restrictions are just really indicates to me they just shouldn't be on ClassPass if the customer experience is going to be wildly different. My first private class was with Stephanie and it was amazing, she was helping me with my posture and form. I've taken other small group classes too and all the instructors are equally great but Petia has been my favorite, as she really works well with each and everyone. She has great knowledge and patience to work with the beginners. The entire team of instructors is very professional and friendly, I've been coming here for a while now and I highly recommend few private sessions for a better understanding of your own body and strength and then signing up for classes.
