Why you're here: If you are reading this, it means that you…read moreare, at least slightly, interested in the idea of trying acupuncture. Or you have experience acupuncture before and are looking for an Acupuncturist. For which ever reason, I highly doubt you will be making any mistakes by choosing Chris at Aspire Acupuncture, it may even be one of the best decisions you've made in a while. The Acupuncturist: Chris is a pretty fun, down to earth kind of guy. He has a very honest, caring and friendly vibe, and he's very patient, supportive and encouraging. He really cares to see people succeed and sits down for a follow up/ catch up chat before acupuncture to see how you as as person are doing. What triumphs and downfalls you've had since you last saw him. Also, he only sees one patient at a time, you are always his main focus during your appointment. Bonus, he has online scheduling! Catch him on Twitter, Facebook and Pinterest, he shares a lot of very interesting articles. Health doesn't seem just to be his job, it seems to be his life. Why I started: It was one of the best decisions I've made in a while. I was ready to quit smoking again. I've tired gum, patch, cold turkey, even both Chantix and Wellbutrin. After the third time quitting with Wellbutrin, it really started to take a toll. I didn't know what else I could do and what would be successful. I found out about Aspire Acupuncture from Dr. Penry, they're in the same office. I decided to make both appointments on the same day. My Success: I was smoking 10-12 cigarettes a day during the weekday, it was just madness on the weekend, when I started acupuncture. It only took me two visit and one week to completely walk away from smoking. I dropped down to three cigarettes a day, then one and I was done. I have never felt this solid about quitting before. I don't even flinch when I see someone smoking. Now, everyone is different, it may take someone more or less visits, but you won't know until you try. I sincerely hope you are able to lead a better, happier and healthier life. -Jenn P.s. Yelp, please stop filtering my review, Thank you!

The results were both immediate and lasting. Never again will I take a sleeping pill! His warm demeanor and clear expertise put him in a class of his own. Been here twice for a massage and I plan on returning. This place was recommended by a friend…read more She didn't remember who gave her the massage, so I went on the website. They have a message section, so I sent a brief message explaining my situation and needs. My message was forwarded to their massage therapist, who could most likely help me. I got 1 hr massage from Carol Fields. Cost is $65/hr. Pros - Quality. K, dudes. I'm not the type of person who falls asleep easily, if at all, during a massage. Both times, I was close to falling asleep. That's how good and relaxing the quality of the massage is. - She listens. Carol talked to me, before the massage, to ask where my problem areas are and what kind of pressure I would like. It's good and required for a masseuse to understand your body. Make sure you explain your situation, comforts, needs, etc. Every customer is different, so make sure they understand you. - Respectful. Carol gave me time before and after to get ready. When I'm flipping over, she lifts the sheet to give some privacy. - Good hygiene. Carol walks around bare foot, which is a good sign to me. That means this place actively cleans. - Warm massage table. The massage table warms up to a comfortable temp, which is especially helpful when you're getting a message. It helps keep you comfortable and your muscles loose. Additionally, the massage table can be mechanically adjusted up or down, depending on your body position. That's good, especially for a massage, when the masseuse needs access. Observations/Recommendations - They're not inexpensive. Keep in mind, I've gotten 1 hr massages for $15 and then a $5 tip afterwards. Yea, I know. I'm spoiled! But this price is not exorbitant and the quality is excellent. - You can pay via credit card, but it's one of those Apple programs. Additionally, be aware, that the program takes you directly to a tip section. I mention this, because the first options are 3 options pre-set tip amounts. You can choose, but of course, that takes more time and work. It's not necessarily a bad thing, it's just something to be aware of. - Wear comfortable clothes. This is essential, especially since you have to get out and in of them before and after your session. The fact that I was so relaxed afterwards, meant I did not want to actively think about what to do with my clothes, other than putting them on. Haha... Final Answer: Good quality massage, worth it.
