Inside: Class full of reformers. They are wiped down after all classes.
    Angel K.

For someone who has never been to Polk, this location of this studio has allowed me to not only get my workout in, but also explore the lovely boutiques that line the streets. I took the Buns & Guns class led by Julie. During this time (~12:30 PM), there was plenty of street parking and I had no trouble finding a spot only two minutes (walk) away from the studio. The moment I walked in, I was greeted and checked in. Lockers are near the front desk, and they noted that they locked the front doors during class for safety which was comforting to know. The studio itself was fairly small: two-thirds the studio was dedicated to the classroom itself, while the other third was dedicated to the lobby (front desk and lockers). I didn't mind the size, though, and didn't find it cramped. Before class, Julie was kind enough to show me the quick run down of the equipment - what straps were for what, the weight of the springs, and so on. It was quick, but it was enough to get me through the class. Especially since it was a full class; with the other students fairly close beside me, I was able to follow their movements / actions easily. During the class, she made sure to check in on everyone on their form, which is important to me: I hate doing exercises when I am unsure if my form is correct as I don't want to form the habit and have to correct it after. And boy, I FELT my core and flutes being worked out to the MAX! It felt great. After the workout, there were plenty of lovely shops and cafes to enjoy after the class. I especially enjoyed the One Half store across the street, and plan to visit one of the cafes another time. Overall, this was a great experience and I would go back again! I would take the class again because I definitely felt my glutes and core sore even after the first day. My note to beginners: this place is super friendly. Even as someone with no experience on the reformers, I was able to pick it up quickly, and had a lot of fun doing it. Get those gains this year!

My body hurts. Everything hurts. Instructors were nice. I'll be back next week. Highly recommend looking into their unlimited month for new joiners.

I tried out the Newbie unlimited pass, and was going about 3-4 times a week. What I love about this studio is that they seem to have instructors that are more invested with each of its clients. For instance, the instructors call out participants by name saying how great they are doing in a move. I also like how some instructors incorporate arm weights into the class, which look tiny, but are quite strenuous. My favorite instructors are Corri, Ina, Ariel, and Mara. After being here for a few months, I'd say 90% of the instructors are good, and you will get a good workout in. Some things I don't like about the studio are the booking options for the classes. By first glance, it looks impossible to book a class, as the options are almost always "waitlist only." I am pulled off the waitlist about 80% of the time, but not always. I always feel like in general, it's annoying to be put on a waitlist, instead of being confirmed right away. In addition, if I could change the membership options, what I would change is the options for classes per month. It skips from 8 classes/month to 12 classes/month, which is a big jump. Wish there was an option in between to choose from. Another bummer is the mirrors in the class. 80% of the reformer machines have mirrors on all sides, but there are a few spots that don't have many options, so it's hard to see yourself in the mirror to correct yourself. The parking is really easy in this area, which is amazing. Even in broad daylight, the residential parking a block down and over are free for 2-4 hours! Love that! In general, I really love this studio and would recommend if you want to try Reformer pilates.

I did 2 morning classes which worked out perfectly for my schedule and the parking outside (street cleaning so be aware of the days, also no meter paying until 9AM). The studio is very well setup, spacious and clean with good ventilation/ac. Reformers are staggered with lots of mirror around and motivational words up top (love that!). I appreciate the little baskets each reformer has for our personal items, such as smart way to keep out things in one place, next to us! Very high 4 stars rating, only things that brings it down is its soo pricey for a membership or per session... but that's a Pilates reformer class anywhere you go. Nevertheless, definitely worth the try and I just may be back every once in a while!

Pilates was suggested from my rheumatologist and my physical therapist. Started with some entry level group classes and found i loved them but also knew I need more 1 on 1 to ensure I was doing everything correctly for my EDS issues. Met Ramlah and now work with her 2-3 days per week when I am in the city. Only disappointing thing about this particular facility is they don't have a lot of formation classes, which are the ones you take in the beginning. Fortunately, I'm in a place where I am able to pay for privates, but I don't know if this is the place to come and learn in a group environment as they have so few classes. I found a couple of studios in my area that do offer them and will continue with privates but take some groups elsewhere that offer entry level classes the focus on form. ]

Here's a small tidbit from their site on what lagree is: The Lagree method blends Pilates, cardio and strength training. Our classes are performed using the patented M3S Megaformer machines that target the slow twitch muscle fibers by engaging in controlled movements, which in turn activate your metabolism, burn fat and calories. I love lagree. I'm always super sore after but it's such an amazing workout. Bring grip socks cause you'll def need it! I've taken a class from several instructors and every single one was great. One change is that they have been sold to some sort of corporation. A few of the really good instructors left. Second they randomly started changing the classes. A few weeks ago I signed up for a reformer class that mysteriously got changed to a "power" class (much harder, maybe better for me but definitely not what I signed up for). This was the third or fourth time classes had been shifted without notifying the participants. The instructor said she just found out as well. Why? No idea. Also frustrating is that despite the fact I have come here for years there has never been any kind of thank you for your loyalty, hey it's your birthday here's a free class, here's a discount, nothing. It was a small studio that has now become a chain, so the vibe has shifted for sure. I wish them the best and thank them for all of the great classes I've had in the past but it's time to move on.

My only wish was that I had found this studio earlier when I lived just a block or two away, I would have been here all the time. I took Jen's class -- she's the owner -- and it's nice to find someone who is so nice, passionate and involved in her business. The space is small but has 5-6 reformers, some other equipment and one bathroom. Note that there's no separate changing area other than the one bathroom so if you're going to cut it close to the class, it may be best to change at home. The reformer class was excellent and was focus and controlled and I got a good workout in. Jen took the time to explain everything and made sure we were doing the moves correctly. Even though I didn't really sweat in the class, I did feel a little sore in my abs the next day and still got a god workout in. Would highly recommend this place if you like pilates classes like Body Chemistry in the Mission or Mercury Fitness in the Marina. These are the kinds of pilates studios I love to find and frequent. I don't really love the BodyRok or Core40 classes as much since they go too fast, seem very repetitive in the movements/exercises, and don't focus on form. These kind of classes are more of the opposite. 5 stars. Looking forward to taking another class here next time I'm back in San Francisco.
