He met my glare with an enigmatic gaze but resigned himself to my incessant badgering. After initially reaching out to his former naturopath facility and failing to connect with anyone, I hit Google for Naturopath recommendations. Newmarket Naturopath was the first on the search results page, and after looking at a few other contenders - I decided Dr. Alexandra Lee and her practice were the winners and promptly booked her earliest available Saturday appointment. On appointment day, Dr. Lee greeted us upon entering with a warm smile and a clipboard with the intake form on it. She offered us water, tea and coffee while my boyfriend completed the form and was incredibly gracious. Once we were ready to go, I asked her whether I'd be permitted to enter the office too to receive some insight on what I can do on my end to help the success of my partner's health goals. Without missing a beat, she replied: "Absolutely!" I thought that would be the last of our interaction; this was my partner's appointment after all - but no. Throughout the entirety of the appointment, Dr. Lee made the recommendations and suggested exercises an inclusive experience, often extending the option to me to attempt the demonstrated exercises with my boyfriend. Since our initial appointment, my partner's back symptoms have been near non-existent thanks to the suggested stretches she tasked him with, and his various gut issues have been rendered more or less obsolete courtesy of the supplement treatment plan she's put him on. And perhaps even more startling - he has lost ten (welcomed) pounds. My boyfriend is no longer dependent on over the counter medicines to get him through every single day. (And I'm glad to not have to carry a whole pharmacy in my purse anymore.) To see the sheer jubilation on his face over being gut problem free, having no back pain, a substantial increase in mood and having his anxiety be reduced to a dull noise in the background provides me with an elation that I can't even begin to articulate into words. I cannot begin to thank Dr. Lee enough for returning my partner's body back to him and renewing his confidence. I'm looking forward to meeting with her for my own appointment in October. The facility is always immaculate. Each of the treatment rooms have a fireplace (electric), adding to the relaxation. Kelly was very thorough @ the beginning of each session asking many questions about my overall health and well being before she started each treatment. this applied whether it had been a month, week or day since my last session. I saw Kelly prior to my IVF, during and after. I have no doubt that Kelly is the reason I had a successful first try @ IVF, a healthy and comfortable pregnancy right up to the end and our healthy happy baby boy. Kelly is without a doubt, the most knowledgeable acupuncturist around. I think it is because of her genuine passion for what she does. She holds many professional designations which allow her to know what areas to target specifically and quickly. not to mention her actual experience and the list of succesful clients she has served and continues to serve. At the end of each session, Kelly gave me a few pointers on what to do or assist in whatever my body needed, e.g. stretches, tea to drink, foods to eat, etc. she didnt have to do any of that, but did so because she truly cares about her clients. Kelly also makes the best kombucha if you get a chance to try it- dont pass it up. if you need any of the services offered by Kelly, you will be doing yourself a disservice by not using her. This is my first physiotherapy review. I called Fit based on my husbands referral (he loves them and have helped him with his nerve injury) and let me say I was impressed! When I called to make an appointment, the office administrator was Uber friendly, asked me some questions (yes they do direct billing with your insurer) and then sent me some forms via email and followed up with me. So amazing first impressions! Today was my appointment and I was greeted with a smile, she helped me fill out some forms I missed and then I was quickly taken for my appointment by someone I think is named Laura (well let's call her Laura for now) She was so friendly, made me feel comfortable as I was in a lot of pain, explained the process and when I can expect. Then I met the Dr., Pankil. Young, friendly, professional and provides such great detail and explanations. He walked me through first what my appointment would look like, did an assessment and then gave me a play by play of next steps. They did various things like apply heat, used a machine called "tens" on me and dry needling (acupuncture). Also Laura showed me some exercises I need to do twice a day and went through each one with me and they just Know I have a terrible memory as I received a folder and handout with exercises. This was an excellent experience and I was surprised as I'm in so much pain but this team shows patience and compassion and are so transparent with their patients. I'm booked for a couple of appointments this week and am looking forward to seeing them again. Wherever old tape was running through my head on physio, this operation is exceptional with an all star team.
