Cannot thank Boesen enough! I ordered an arrangement online for a going home service for the mother of a very dear friend and accidentally put the wrong date for delivery. I didn't realize till after the service my mistake. I called Boesen and explained my situation and asked if I could have them delivered to the family instead since I messed up on the date. I was pleasantly surprised when they informed me they cross check the dates for services and had delivered the flowers on the appropriate date. I ordered flowers for a friend who is in the hospital. Was ordered on Monday 5/12 and was hoping to get it to them delivered the same day. The lady informed me that I missed the cut off and it would be delivered on Tuesday May 13th. I was fine with that and understood. Today is Wednesday March 14th and my flowers are still not delivered. l called and emailed to customer service on 5/13. No response. So I called again today Wednesday to follow up, was put in voice mail. So I called again about an hour later to see what was going on with my order. The person answered basically told me they didn't know why it didn't go yesterday and they were sorry. I am pretty disappointed that this happened and hopefully it was a fluke. I try to be understanding but when I tried several times to get answers and none back that is disappointing. I get we all make mistakes but communicating is key when a mistake happens. They didn't offer any assistance besides if I wanted to cancel the order or it will be delivered today. Boesen is known to be the top notch florist. Lets keep it that way. read more

This place is horrible. Me and some friends went here to get corsages for prom. We called ahead to see if they were able to customize and the lady gave us a day of when to come in because there are going to be fresh flowers. We come in said day and she was really rude and told us to just come back the week of prom with an inspo pick and they can recreate it. before prom we pick up corsages and mine looked nothing like the picture. She was really rude about but a parent stepped in and she added what I needed. Overall don't go here for flowers or corsages, horrible service read more

Purchased a large cake topper for my child's birthday, went to pick up the item and it was nothing as requested (wrong size, height, color and flowers). The problem was slightly corrected, yet not like anything we requested/needed and at an additional expense to me. I tried Bosen again and ordered a very specific flower/color arrangement and a specific date for pick up. I called the day before pickup to verify that everything was in order and I was told they don't have those flowers, that they never had them and that they were just about to call me (insert overly dramatic eye roll). I was in a tight spot and then they told me to call their Beaverdale location and ask if they had the correct flowers -- why the Ingersoll location wouldn't/couldn't is call their sister store and have me do it is beyond me?! After realizing I had no other option due to the time-frame, I was at their mercy. They offered an alternative arrangement - completely different color and supporting flowers and then charged me more for something I wasn't happy with nor really wanted. Worst part the arrangement didn't last... it was completely wilted by day 3 and dead by day 4. One would hope for the price it would have last longer. I contacted Bosen before I posted this to rectify the problem(s), because I feel like everyone has bad days, but they never reached out. I left photos, email and phone... nothing. If you do plan on using them for floral be VERY specific, follow up and be proactive in a communication. read more

Placed my order from California to my BF in Iowa. She sent me a picture of arrangement and I was very disappointed with size and colors/flowers used in arrangement. I informed the person on the phone that I was looking for rainbow roses. She said they did not have but could create a very colorful arrangement for me. I asked her to include roses and carnations, which no carnations were used. I spent almost $100 on a very small arrangement with minimal colors utilized. I will never order from this company again. I ordered a bouquet for $125. I asked what flowers they had, she told me that they had hydrangeas, calla lilies, pink roses and tulips. So I ordered several of these to be delivered. My friend received the delivery and there were 3 little baskets with green plants in them. When she told me I was quite upset. I called them and told them what happened and they said how sorry they were, and promised to deliver the floral bouquet. The bouquet they delivered was at best worth $40 full of cheap carnations, 3 roses and nothing else! I called again and they were so apologetic. Another time I ordered flowers for a funeral and they switched it up on me again!!! I have stopped using Boesen's and especially the Ingersoll location. read more

I called several florists in Des Moines to deliver flowers at Methodist Hospital the day my granddaughter was born. A few said no, 3 pm cut off for same day delivery. (It was 3:30) This place was able to make it happen. (Strict rules at hospital can also make it difficult) The arrangement was outstanding. The hospital staff said it was the most beautiful they'd seen. 12 days later when I visited from NJ it still looked beautiful! Boesen The Florist on Ingersol has turned me into a loyal Boesen customer. I made the mistake of going to a competitorama for a prom corsage. I ordered it a week ahead with pictures of how I wanted it to look. When I picked it up, it didn't look anything like the picture. They sent me across town to a branch that had a designer on site. That designer told me she was extremely busy but could redo and to come back in three hours. I left not feeling very confident and drove straight to Boesens on Ingersol. The staff there empathized with me. The designer looked at the picture, picked out an assortment of flowers and made up the most beautiful corsage and boutonniere in under 15 minutes.
