This was suggested as a business meeting place and when I walked in, I fell in love! I'm a huge lover of cozy local bars with a friendly vibe and robust tap list; the Bog House Pub has both of these attributes, times a million! They only serve beer, wine, and mead, but hard liquor folks do not worry... mead is essentially the hard liquor of the beer world, but tastes way better and at 20%, you'll drink way less! Their taps offer local beers and an array of imports from all over the world. I also learned that they are one of two bars in the entire Fresno/Clovis area that actually serves Guinness on tap! During my visit, the bartender suggested a something unique; a mixture of two different beers. I cannot remember their names for the life of me, but one was a peanut butter scout mixed with a purple-ish beer from house of Pendragon. All that to say, it tasted like a peanut butter and jelly and was delicious! Gracie, my bartender, was super friendly and very informed all the beers and wines they serve here. Who doesn't love a friendly and info field bartender?! My go to spot for imported Europian beer, I have family in England and visited often around a decade ago and always loved a few of the beers they had their. Two of which being London Pride and Old Speckled Hen and when the Bog House got OSH on nitro I knew I'd be coming back. I'd often request London Pride and the bar tenders told me that they had been working on getting it from their distributor and I was able to get a few pints so I really appreciate them for that. Very Irish style pub that is small but if you love good beer you will not be disappointed, they even have a few local taps and some taps from California breweries if thats more to your liking. read more

The Bog House is a lot of fun. Marty (manager) does the Karaoke on Tuesdays and is a real entertainer. The crowd is always fun; they are very happy and friendly without ever getting sloppy drunk. They have a great taco truck out front that is very authentic. Amazing taco salad that will end up being 4 meals. Gracie is the new bar tender, and she has probably tripled the sales of their wide selection of beers, wine, champagne, etc. She goes out of her way to help everyone. I didn't think the place could be better, but Gracie showed up to impress everyone. I am already looking forward to next week. They are on the northwest corner of Marks and Herndon. This place is an absolute treasure. I've seen in it since we lived around the corner when I was in middle school. It's been through many names and owners im sure but I decided for the first time to come in and spend a lazy afternoon. I feel so at home. Dino is the owner, he is so friendly without being fake. He's just chilling while answering my many, MANY questions. He is so knowledgeable about beer and is so cool to talk to! They don't have food yet but will have pub bites very soon, as well as expanding into a full bar. The space itself is exceptionally clean-like the cleanest I've ever seen a bar! It's also well decorated with the most appreciated pinch of kitsch. So cool to see a locally owned, rooted staple doing well. Never been here before and heard it was a cool spot with great drinks. We'll Deirdrea is very unprofessional she was drinking behind the bar tasting the nitros. She's also sitting on a chair instead of attending her customers. I asked what the best Oktoberfest was she had no idea she asked a customer. She also didn't know which glass to pour my beer in, I paid with a debit card and she closed it without even asking if I was going to stay and have another drink. I wanted to order food but forget it. I decided to give her another chance and ordered two more beers but this time paid with cash and she checked out my $20 as if it was fake. It already bothered me that she asked for my pin to my debit card and I have no idea why?! I was hoping to have a new spot to hangout but nvm on that. Oh and it says happy hour so what's the pricing on the beer? Because mine were $6 each is that regular price?
