How did I not post this either! This was during covid times, but I remember this vividly. We were outside in a huge tent with heaters and they had wines we could sample and tables with games and snacks. The location was a little tricky to find, but not bad, not where you would think a bar would be, but very industrial hip looking. Came in for a Jazz event that was low key and relaxing. I loved that they had champagne too. I was tempted to order some wine but stuck to the bubbly. Plenty of parking in their lot. Hosted my baby shower in their cellar room & it was beautiful!! The staff were insanely accommodating, very communicative & the space was outright beautiful! This was our first time coming here. It's kind hidden behind Lowe's . If I hadn't heard great things about this place I'd probably never have came here. We were greeted right away as we walked in . The bartender was very helpful by suggesting food and drinks. It was a clean establishment as well. To our surprise the chef brought out free items to try from the kitchen. She was nice and an amazing chef. The steak bites and shrimp were probably the best I ever had. I definitely recommend this place for drinks, food and cleanliness. read more

Pliny the Elder on draft! Other solid offerings. There was one guy tending bar and he was mainly attentive to the 3 people he was talking to at the bar. The flat bread pizza we ordered burned on the first go round while he was conversing with them. He did comp us a round of drinks for the delay. Had to go up to the bar to order after finishing our first round. Had to ask about food offerings. A second server arrived but he was not very personable. I had had high hopes for this place but was disappointed. I will give it another try but I hope the service we received was an aberration. Mind you we've been here a couple times prior but it's never a spot to chill at for more than an hour. The location is a bit different. It is behind Lowes and in an industrial business area. There are 2 small patios on the outside and the inside opens up and also has a small private room for parties. They also have a large variety of local beer. Very local beer. Not just your state beer from San Luis or Chico, there are beers from Fresno! I've tried their wine before too. There is not a large variety of wine to sample. I mean, there is a large variety of types of wine, but not vineyard. If you're new to wine, their Albariño is delicious. It is a bit too sweet for me, but, I prefer a dry or tart wine. However, I can see how this wine is very popular. Right now there is a pretty spacious outdoor patio and there are a lot of open spaces inside to have a drink. There is also musicians playing on the weekend. This place is perfect for a after work happy hour. I had been wanting to try this place and finally got the chance. My coworker and I were wanted to find a place where we could have a drink but with a low noise level and this was perfect. The staff was very friendly and took the time to offer recommendations to us and have a few tasting. The beer was great and they have a good selection of beers and wines to choose from the place is good for small groups and they had tables for groups of 8. I'm not sure why we didn't find Tap and Cellar sooner! We came in on a Sunday afternoon just as the band was setting up. The place was packed (as well as the banquet room) but we found 3 places at the bar. We came to try Saviez wine so the bartender recommended his favorite, a vermitivo (sp?). We loved it and just to make sure, had a second glass and nachos. The band was nice at just the right volume allowing easy conversation. We'll definitely be back. read more

Tap and Cellar were such great hosts at the Elite party this year, that my husband and I have been back a few times. They have a great selection of beers on rotation. They carry just as many wines but we don't do wine so haven't tried any. I love that that they offer beer and wine equally; many friends don't drink beer so this would be a great spot to meet up. Apparently lots of others think so, too because every time we come, there's several groups gathering. That's always cool. They have a big digital board listing the beers and wines on tap as well as plenty of menus scattered around the bar and tables and at the register. I like this because I don't care for these digital boards everyone is getting, I just find it hard to choose - beer selection is serious business. I really like the decor, rustic but the couches at the far end and the cork "artwork" make it a little homey. They also have a room with a door for formal group gatherings with a long table that fills the room. There's still room for tables to hold food. We sat in it for the Elite event and we've seen parties and a baby shower being held in there. I will definitely keep this room in mind for future events. Most of the bartenders are friendly and attentive. There is one gal that seemed to only wait on certain people which was weird and annoying but there's always at least two bartenders on duty so wasn't a big deal. read more

I've been in twice to T&C. The first time was during the week of the soft opening (only a handful of people) and the second time was during the Grand opening (place was packed). The tap lists have been amazing both times. For example, there are at least 5 or 6 new beers I want to try each time I go in. They are generous with the tasters so I sample one before I purchase usually. The prices are reasonable, especially for the quality. The owner is accomodating and enthusiastic about his pours. The bartenders have also been helpful and quick (even when they were packed). Really excited Fresno has another spot with rotating craft beers. Came to try out this place after my friend sent me pictures of the amazing nachos she got here. The atmosphere is nice, there is plenty of space for gathering. Clearly what you get depends on who's here making the food because the Nachos we got didn't look remotely like what she got. (We had already eaten some before I took the pic, but still, pretty puney compared to what she was served and missing veggies listed on the menu description). Beer was good though. This place definitely fills , in my opinion, a lack of places in Fresno to chill And enjoy a great glass of wine--I love our breweries but sometimes you just crave a great wine list--this place is the best of both worlds! On this visit I tried 2 delicious reds and I basically want to try the whole wine list. Love the decor and how the bar has two areas and there are smaller and larger tables so you don't feel crowded even if there are a lot of ppl there. Great bartenders that make perfect suggestions. The more times I go to Tap & Cellar - and the more times I go to other bars that do similar things in other cities - the more fond of it I become. The location is off the beaten track in an industrial park, so it draws a selective crowd. The parking looks limited at first glance but there's plenty all the way around the building. At busier times there's usually a food truck parked in the parking lot, too. They also serve charcuterie inside, which is always very good. The revolving taps are great, there are always new beers to try and they're well curated. No random selections here! The bartenders are happy to make recommendations and they usually have some information on the breweries, if you're interested. You can try a few before you choose. The wine list is also solid, mostly California wines and all of them well selected. I love the decor and the atmosphere in here. It's relaxed, with plenty of seating, high ceilings, and good lighting. There's often live music, particularly later in the week in the evenings. The Valley Vines wine tastings have also been taking place here recently, monthly, on Sundays, and at $15 it's worth the cost of entry. Definitely one of our best local bars. read more

What a fun place! I came here on a Friday night after dinner to socialize with friends and drink some brews. We were highly impressed with the selections of beer on tap and the wine offerings. This establishment is very well decorated and has lots of indoor and outdoor seating areas. They are dog friendly which is nice for all the dog lovers out there. We were served right away at the bar. They made it super easy for us to try different beers and offered free tastings before we ordered. I felt bad because I am pretty picky when it comes to beer. The bar staff was able to work with me and helped me pick some delicious brews. I enjoyed my time here even more so due to the live music!
