Mad Duck is always delicious. My daughter thought the name was really funny and after the moves I was really hungry. So we stopped in, and we split steak bites and fries. Eating at a restaurant with a 3 year old isn't exactly easy, especially solo, so we did a quick overall visit, but the staff that served us were so understanding and interactive. She brought my daughter water and her requested beverage in cups with lids (thank you), and everything was very fast. I even think she left off my daughter's beverage. They have a kids menu and it's a laminated menu that comes with white board markers. (So silly: My daughter was quick to point out that they were not preferred colors and asked about others, but the waitress was so kind and apologized for not having those colors but she had another one. Which was good enough for my daughter.) they had some good options for kids food wise.
We stopped by before a movie because the sweet potato fries here are my favorite in all of the Central Valley. I don't know what's in the dipping sauce, but it is always delicious. If anyone from Mad Duck is reading this, I want the recipe! I shared the turkey club and was really happy with it. It was fresh, flavorful, and filling without leaving me feeling overly stuffed afterward. Their margaritas are perfect for a hot summer day and they often have specials and a great happy hour! Service was very friendly, and we were seated right away. I also love that this location has options for indoor seating, the patio, or sitting at the bar depending on what you're in the mood for. The vibe is always relaxed, and there are a few options if things to do around it. Definitely recommend this location, and I'll absolutely keep coming back for those sweet potato fries.
Adding this review for the Fresno airport location which has a very limited menu. I was hoping they'd have gluten free fish tacos, but no. We didn't eat here, but hoped it would be good for our next visit. Fingers crossed.
5/5 Stopped by Mad Duck Craft Brewing around 4:00 PM, just before the dinner rush, and it was a great call. Service was friendly and fast right from the start -- always a good sign. We ordered 3 burgers with fries and sweet potato fries, and everything tasted delicious. You can tell they take pride in the food. Overall, a really solid experience. Great food, great service, and perfect timing before it got busy. Would definitely come back!

I've been here twice now, and both experiences were 5 stars worthy. I don't remember the servers name, but both servers were friendly and great with my little kids. The vibe is very chill, what you would expect from a brewery type of restaurant. The food was tasty and there's something for everyone on the menu.
Just opened Mad Duck here! Can't speak to the food at this location, but was able to get me a beer to go! When asking for to go, patrons at the packed bar commented "We don't have to sit here?" Service was quick. Can't pour a large to go.
Good is always so good here. Bummed they didn't have the lamb Mediterranean plate. I got the Steak salad wrapped, I made a mistake and added American cheese instead of shredded cheddar... whoops but it was still good. Picked out most of the cheese. Service is always fast and friendly.

Came here for dinner the other night. I got the steak bites which were super delicious. We also got brussels sprouts, deviled eggs, fish and chips, and chicken strips and fries. While in Fresno for a concert, our group decided to grab dinner beforehand. The restaurant was packed, and we were told the wait could be between 1.5 to 2 hours, but luckily we were seated in about 45 minutes. Our server took our drink order right away while we looked over the menu and the daily specials. My husband is vegan, so he ordered the Vietnamese lettuce wraps with the portobello mushroom option. We also shared an order of the Gilroy garlic fries (without Parmesan). The fries were delicious crispy, flavorful, and loaded with minced garlic. Unfortunately, the lettuce wraps were the only vegan entrée option. They came with pickled onions, pickles, cabbage, mint, and cilantro, which added a great crunch, but the star was definitely the sticky, sweet soy sauce that tied everything together. My friends and I all ordered the meatloaf special. The slice was wrapped in bacon and topped with mashed potatoes and gravy, served over a piece of bread. I requested the bread on the side so it wouldn't get soggy. The meatloaf itself had good flavor but was slightly on the dry side. The plate overall felt a bit plain, and I think a vegetable would have made the presentation more complete.
We had a nice lunch here on a Sunday for a group of 10. We had a reservation and were seated promptly. Our waiter was attentive and did a good job keeping waters and iced teas filled. The food did take a while to come out though. We were there for an hour and a half despite only having entrees, no dessert or appetizers. To drink I tried the Sicilian Spritz mocktail. I was surprised when they carded me for a mocktail, and then the waiter said that it still contained some alcohol in the alcohol-removed sparkling wine. I still ordered it, but I think it should be marked on the menu since it's under the mocktail section that it still contains some alcohol. It also contained grapefruit juice and the combination of the unsweetened grapefruit juice, sparkling wine and Ritual orange aperitif was just really bitter, so I didn't really enjoy the drink. To eat, I had the ahi poke lettuce cups. I don't do well with spicy food, so I had them take off the jalapeños. The lettuce cups also came with a spicy aioli on top, which I assumed to be similar to an Asian spicy mayo, which would be fine for me. Unfortunately I was wrong, and these lettuce cups were so incredibly spicy even without the jalapeño that I had to trade lunch entrees with my husband because I could not eat them. My husband had the Chicken & Brie sandwich which I then finished. This was a good sandwich, it says it has an apricot-jalapeño jam but it was not spicy to me at all. Overall a fine meal, just not what I was expecting from the entree and drink I ordered.

My waitress Angelik was professional and was prompt (deserves the 5 stars). The BLT was ok, but could use a revamp. Felt more like eating bread and fries were salty. Coffee was on point! Unfortunately, no gluten free options for my friends! read more

We went at 5:00 pm on a Friday and waited about 10 minutes before being seated. This place has that industrial brewery atmosphere but still very much felt like a restaurant. The steak bites were really good. It comes with a creamy chimichurri sauce and a Sriracha sauce that is pretty spicy. This is something I would get again. For the meal, I ordered the Sweet Heat Chicken Sandwich with a side of sweet potato fries. The sandwich was good. The apricot jalapeño jam added sweetness without being overpowering or disrupting. However, there was no heat. I went with the sweet potato fries for the side because a lot of the reviews spoke favorably of them. They were good, as sweet potato fries tend to be, but no different from any other place. The curry aoli it came with was tasty and it would be worth ordering just to try. read more

Been in before with my family and loved it. So after a long day of shopping decided this spot would be perfect for lunch. Me and my mom shared the steak nachos and chicken wings. The nachos are fully loaded with a white queso (seemed homemade), easy to eat pieces of steak, a really good pico, and jalapeños. I love a good nacho plate and these were good. The wings were very good also. Cooked crispy and had plenty of meat. Definitely could've been sauced more. Service was alright. Got forgotten about a few times but overall just fine. read more

Went here during the lunch rush but didn't have to wait. We were helped right away and were given the right amount of time to order. I tried the fish and chips which I would definitely get again. At the end I got the bread pudding dessert for the first time. The waitress did an amazing job. read more
I enjoy Mad Duck it's probably my favorite joint in the Central Valley. The staff here has always been friendly. This location probably has the best full bar of all Mad Duck locations. This location probably makes the best Nachos out of all their locations. My only complaint about this location is it tends to be the most tore up and dirty. For the volume of customers it could use some TLC on cleaning up. read more

Mad Duck is hands down one of my favorite go-to spots for a drink and some great food! The vibe is always fun and relaxed, and the people who work here, especially the bartenders are super friendly and down to earth. One of my favorite drinks to order is the pineapple cider it's refreshing, delicious, and perfect on a warm day. I recommend the buffalo chicken dip it's so good, cheesy, and full of flavor. Last time I went, I tried the turkey sandwich with tater tots, and it totally hit the spot. Pro tip ask for their house-made buffalo sauce to dip your tots in, it's a game changer. Mad Duck is a great place to stop before catching a movie or just to hang out and unwind with friends. Whether you're here for drinks, food, or just the laid back atmosphere, you really can't go wrong. read more

I have had the St Patrick's Day corned beef sandwich special in the past and it's been awesome. This year the corned beef was too thick and hard to chew. Potato salad was still good. My husband enjoyed his Caesar salad. Service is usually always good here. read more

Mad Duck is such a fun place to go when visiting Fresno or you live nearby. There are several locations across the area, each with a different vibe. They offer delicious American fare and a wide range of beers (and non-alcoholic beverages). This location is a good mix of families, bar patrons, and night out. There is seating indoor and outdoor and a big bar. The servers are very attentive and friendly. They are knowledgeable about the delicious beer options. One thing that impressed me most the first time I went here was the selection of beers. It's not just IPAs and two others. There is a good variation so everyone can find something they like. It's a great place to go before or after going to the movies next door. It's also a nice place to spend some time getting a day or night out with a friend or family. The noise level is actually quite good, making it quite comfortable. I highly recommend the salads. They are large and delicious. It's a busy place. I recommend reservations. Mad Duck is a fantastic spot for a craft beer and local cuisine. My go-to dishes are the Walnut and Field Green Salad and the Lulu Burger. There are three Mad Duck restaurants in the metro area, but my personal favorite is the one near Fresno State. It simply offers a more enjoyable dining experience. read more

Service was good. There was a high chair available which was good but the belt buckle was broken so she kept trying to climb out luckily the market they provided gave her some entertainment. Husband enjoyed the beers and lulu burger. Had the Baja fish tacos which was good. Although I probably should've tried the grilled fish tacos since the toddler wanted some fish but the batter from the fried one was a bit too tough for her. Food was very tasty, served at perfect temperature. Two of us split the delicious French Dip Sandwich (one of the best in town!) a Green Salad was plenty. 2 friends each had the Beef Sliders & enjoyed them. Our Server Katie was great, always checking that everything was ok & keeping water glasses filled. We chose to sit outside (lunchtime) temperature was good plenty of shade & ceiling fans.
