OMG I'm so glad I found this place..and chose to drink then get on a tour bus…read more 8 minutes walk from our hotel we actually missed this, even though we followed yelp closely. The front was tiny and shaded. Stepping in was like entering a shrine. Silken veils blowed in the breeze, low cream leather chairs with coffee tables lay surrounded by spiritual paintings and windchimes. We were here for the cocktails. A lady handed us a menu, all in Spanish however it was not hard to work out their contents. Especially guided by pictures from previous reviews. We both ordered this passion fruit Buddha which took awhile to make but wow €7 was worth it..it was thick, and full of fresh pineapple and passionfruit with no ice and served in a deep glass, and a smaller accompanying one. Complimentary crisps were also served but we were still full after breakfasting. Looking at the clock we decided to hit one more before our flight. This time I had the samurai (fresh ginger, sake, almond liquor ) and my friend a pina collada.. these were also divine and the kind lady served a little pina collada for me to try. Running out of time I pro-offered this sweet lady with dreads our bottle of Russian vodka so they could utilise this in their cocktails rather than us throw it away. She spoke no English so the owner? who served us previously returned and accepted. This is a ambient , serene place ran by lovely people and who make fresh high quality cocktails..I will be back!!

Really enjoyed this bar and we can see why it's been named in the top 50 bars…read more The bartender was really engaging with the people which we enjoyed. The drinks were 8/10 The ambiance was generic but we had a good time. Definitely recommend trying it.

Wow did we want to give this place 5 stars…read more The bartenders were great and welcoming and the decor was very cool. It is a pleasant place to be physically. All of the cocktails we tried were excellent (we had two more not featured on photos here). We went Sunday 4/19 around open (5pm ish until 7:30 ish). However, our experience was sort of ruined when a female employee came over and chided my wife and two other American patrons we were talking to for being too loud. They weren't being particularly loud and at this point we were the only four people sitting at the bar itself. She was not a bartender (at that time at least) and she completely ruined our vibe with this complaint. She had been eyeing one of the other American patrons we had been talking to before she came over and confronted my wife after she laughed. The bar tenders didn't seem to be aware this happened and when we were closing out they remarked they didn't think we had been loud and that they like their guests to have fun. This female employee apparently didn't get the memo! We sense that perhaps she just dislikes Americans, which would be rich for working at an establishment like this! She also had no issues when a dog other guests brought in barked loudly multiple times, each time silencing the entire bar because the barks were so booming. The other American couple felt the same way -- the stern talking to just ruined the experience for all four of us. So... great spot but our experience was unnecessarily tarnished by a jerk employee!!!

It's not their fault that they're nestled into the more touristy part of Barcelona--and don't let…read morethat stop you from going! Well worth the effort as you're transported into what can quickly feel like your personal neighborhood bar. Our initial bartender (no, mixologist) was a Peruvian woman named Rayza (probably spelled that wrong). Very friendly and did a great job trying to translate as much as possible into English. They change the drink menu 4 times a year and had just introduced the Summer menu a few days ago. Don't remember the exact names of the drinks we ordered but one was gin based and was Hunter/Hunting-something. The other was mezcal based with Luxardo bitters as one of the ingredients. Both were fantastic (uploading pics after the review). Well thought out and skillfully crafted by Rayza. She made a little too much of the mezcal drink so she poured it into a shot glass and presented it to me as a "refill" with a smile. Nice touch, but I told her it was for her to drink with me. As things got busier (we arrived around 10 pm and had our pick of seats at the bar), a male bartender started working our end of the bar. Sadly, we neglected to get his name but we enjoyed a great conversation as he made many creative drinks. A bar like this could be quite snobby about themselves. This one isn't. We look forward to coming back each time we visit Barcelona and highly recommend it if you can get there.

The walk to Collage was magical already but then stepping inside transported me to another realm of wonderment. It's dark, it's sexy, it's got so many potions to create a drink unlike any other. There's an upstairs lounge area that feels more like a salon of a bygone era and then there's the intimate bar downstairs where I saddled up. I was immediately taken with both male bartenders...one French, one Italian. Both spoke Spanish and English. It was as if my Weird Science mind had produced two handsome, intriguing characters purely for my entertainment! But, on to the drinks. Their cocktail menu is a beaut. There's not a ton on it, but each beverage is described in paragraph form so you know its origin story before meeting your lips to its glass. These concoctions were eclectic takes on the classics. Some were aflame, some were served alongside fun accoutrements, and some were just plain funky, but in an intriguing way. I don't think you can go wrong with any of them. I had two and each one had its highs, sans any lows. The best part was sitting and chatting with the bartenders and the fact that they have a Yelp check-in offer for a free shot, which is pretty impressive to see anywhere in Europe (even though the bartender wasn't as keen on this offer as I was to use it...a mezcal shot we both did!). Not to mention, they host cocktail making classes often. If you're headed to (or in) Barcelona, I recommend scheduling one to get a behind-the-scenes look at the makings of these fine libations.
