The sales girls were so nice and did help me with all my prospective purchases to the dressing room. They were really willing to help. Strike number one: I saw the older woman yelling at one of the girls about leaving to help a customer and leaving herself on the register. She replied that she thought she was supposed to help the customers, and the woman aggressively told her that she was wrong to do that. Strike two: when I asked about a price on a skull decoration, she nastily told me to "check the tag" with a condescending tone and face to match. I then informed her that there was no tag, and she spit out a price off the top of her head. Strike three: I was pretty sure I wanted a really cute maxi skirt with a carrot print, but I needed to mull it over in my head to see if I really wanted to add it to my collection. I saw the sign in the dressing room that stated to bring all merchandise back to the sales associates when done. I brought it up there and handed it to the same lady who was rude to her sales associate and myself. I said I just needed some time to think about it, and that I would be back either way by the end of the business day. She then says, very passive aggressively, with an audible "tut" sound, "If it will still be here". She then walked away without my info, or even a good bye. In short, even if I love the products in this very cute store, I will NEVER be back to Moda Fina because of the absolute and blatant disrespect of her sales associates, myself, and the basics of customer service.

The shop lady rudely told me to finish it outside before coming back in. I left and told her I would not be back and will not stand outside, eating a bag full of candy. I've been to many shops to browse and purchase - high-end (Ferragamo, Gucci, Louboutin, etc.), local boutiques of all kinds, vintage/thrift, department stores - no one has ever told me to finish my food/drink outside and then come back in. A better shopping experience suggestion would be to ask the customer to place it by the door or register, and pick it up when leaving. There were 2 employees working, the young lady at the register saw me walk in eating and acknowledged me but did not say anything about the food. However, the old woman did. Perhaps all employees should be trained on store rules, unless the store enjoy putting customers in inconsistent and awkward situations. Also, put a sign up. There is no sign that indicates no food or drink shopping. also The price points are too low for such snobby attitude. The shop was also empty when I walked in, go figure.

We walked in around lunchtime and we noticed a lot of sales signs all over...but we definitely noticed the line of people waiting to pay...it was about 20 people deep ! The sales for off season are really good and you can get a great deal on clothing. My husband was looking for a Provincetown sweatshirt and all of the ones on sale were Cape Cod ones...lots of colors, lots of styles.... The story of these stores started in 1980. Cuffy purchased 300 misprint t-shirts for $1.00 and sold them for $2.00 right after college. That was the start of a successful casual clothing line of stores.

I was able to find a really cute pair of shoes and a cute bag. I have also been gifted beautiful bags from this shop in the past. They have a wide range of prices, so you do have to pay attention to what you're buying and think about adding a tax. The store also doesn't typically offer discounts, but I have noticed that for an item that might need repair they do have flexibility. The employees are also very kind, flexible, and informative. The T-Shirts that are sold here have to be the highest quality T-Shirts I've ever bought in Cape Cod I had my tshirt almost a year and still looks exactly the same. All products are made in the USA in tiny batches, from leftover fabric carefully selected out in California. All fabrics are hand made into shirts and shorts....then machine washed and dried, then preshrunk. Seaplane is a direct-to-consumer model for artisanal, American production, making just a few collectible pieces per print. Each item has a number like 50/150, so you know you are getting an original item, made by one of the six person team in their Philadelphia studio. The average price point is in the $125-$175 per shirt.
