We literally had THE BEST time on the Bike Bar. Marie our host fit in perfect with our group of 14 ladies for a bachelorette party! We loaded up with drinks and we were off! We laughed, drank, and sang our way thru BoDo and The North End. Our driver made up funny little extra rules like "Drink at a stoplight!" or "Drink when you see a Subaru" which made it even more fun! Having the Bike Bar for 2 hours was a perfect allotment of time. We stopped at 2 bars on our journey. One in Hyde Park & Ha'Penny in BoDo. I would not hesitate to book this again for any event or any group! There are 10 seats that have to peddle and there is a bench on the back that can fit up to four people who don't want to peddle. These guys are just a terrible business in Boise. Don't waste your time. I've called 3 times now to try and schedule something, they don't pick up the phone. On the message they say they'll call back Monday-Friday between 5-10 pm and they have yet to call back after a week. Don't give these guys your business cuz you will not be treated as a priority. Update as of 5/30: Just wanted to give an update. Although I have booked another bicycle bar (pedals and pints), I find it very interesting that these guys have still never called me back despite all the messages I left 3-4 weeks ago. read more

At one point someone responded to my email, but when I said I did not want to reschedule, it has been radio silence since. Five stars for sure! Boise bike bar was everything we expected and more when we reserved our tour. We loved everything about it and had a great time saying good bye to our friend. The company was great to work with and very understanding when it came to payment, even when we added an extra hour spur if the moment and had to stop at an ATM! Our tour guide Jed was super friendly and helpful, letting us do basically whatever we wanted during those three hours, we picked the music stopped for pictures and bathroom breaks and had an overall great time! What a great idea to get 14 friends together and drink booze while cycling around the city of Boise. While the experience was fun, planning the event was horrible. I called and called and left voicemails and texts and MAYBE they would get back to me, but almost never. I actually wasn't even sure they would show up because of the udder lack of communication (which they later said was because they all have full time jobs on top of this business, but how hard is it to take two seconds out of your day and shoot out a text!) AND what business even texts?!! So, they showed up, we filled out waivers, he went over the rules, we seemed ready besides the fact that the driver explained the rules in a very harsh tone and made me second guess if this would be any fun because of all of the things we weren't allowed to do. In front of everyone, he asks where the second half of the payment was and that we wouldn't be moving anywhere without it. Excuse me? I said I had already paid them and have the PayPal receipts to prove it. He had to call the owner and I had to send MY emails to them to prove we had in fact paid the full amount. AND this was all in front of everybody let me remind you. Oops, they said, their mistake. We would get 15 minutes of extra time. We booked the bike for two hours, and had those 15 minutes. He took us to where is truck and trailer were early and then proceeded to yell at us that the party was over even before our paid time was up. They cared more about getting their stuff all packed up, then the customer....and this was still the time we PAID for! GO WITH THE BOISE CYCLE PUB!!!!!!! read more

After weeks of planning, two of us who live locally were ready to receive and host 10 high school classmates for a weekend of fun in beautiful Boise. Going on the Boise Bike Bar was one of our planned events that we anticipated would be a highlight of our weekend. The communication (for planning purposes) was not optimal. Details of where to meet and where to park our vehicles were received at the last minute. We arrived at the designated time, signed all forms, and loaded up. Jed instructed us of all rules and guidelines in his "harsh" and "mandating" tone. This could have been handled in a much gentler way. We respect the fact that there are rules and the rules need to followed in order to keep us safe. But unfortunately Jed lacks customer service skills and it was a real disappointment. The way Jed interacted (or didn't interact) with our group was frustrating and certainly reflected on how the guests in our group interpreted the experience. He yelled out in front of the entire group, "So who booked this ride? They need to pay me the balance right now, or else this bike is not leaving the curb!" Couple of our ladies had legitimate questions and his answers and the way he communicated with your group was bitter and demeaning. Jed was definitely not a professional and failed Customer Service 101. I thought that maybe he was just having a bad day, because we all have those. I was surprised when I started doing some research to figure out where to send my complaint letter. There are other negative reviews posted online. I wish we would have done more in-depth research prior to booking the Boise Bike Bar. There is no contact info or company address listed on their website. Boise Bike Bar is going to continue to lose business unless they realize some areas for possible improvement. The tour ended 15 minutes prior to the time that we reserved the bike. According to other complaints posted online, this has happened before to other groups. Maybe there should be time allotted between groups to complete the paperwork and allow time for the groups to switch out. There was no mention at any time during the booking process that they did not accept debit or credit cards. We made sure to have cash on hand just in case. It would have been an added benefit if the customer was able to pay with a credit or debit card. Mobile payment processing is very common in many growing businesses. It is easily done with a USB swiper or a phone swipe. The weather was good and he did have ice and red solo cups for us, but his poor attitude was certainly Party Foul! We will be making our reservation with Boise Cycle Pub for sure next time we book this type of an event. Believe me when I say that it is a fun activity! Just be sure you have a fun guide/driver who will interact with the group and help to make it an experience you will never forget, not some mediocre bike ride guided by somebody with a bad attitude. read more

We rented the Boise bike bar last night because the cycle pub was completely booked. The guy who drove us around was a complete jerk. He was rude and had no problem raising his voice at several of us. We were not a rowdy crowd (ages 28-57) so as you can imagine we quite blown away with his attitude. He didn't explain the rules and when one was broken he made sure to be a jerk about it. We brought ice for his coolers because it was late in the day and thought maybe his would be melted. He was ungrateful for the gesture and dumped it out saying he was good. He really seemed to hate his job. He completely bashed the cycle pub which seemed highly unprofessional. We have done the cycle pub several times and its always a great time. Jed was completely rude and made it hard for us to have fun! It was a complete waste of money. We didn't even get the entire time we paid for because he took us to the parking lot and said 20 minutes finish up! The. Proceeded to be a jerk when we tried topping off our cups. Just a bad experience. Probably will never use them again. They are cheaper than the cycle pub and their service was terrible. I would rather pay more and use the cycle pub. They actually have fun with you and make sure it's a success of a night. read more
