We were guests at a birthday party and the woman in the blonde wig made us super uncomfortable multiple times. I hope the owners can see this & care about adjusting in the future. I looked at their birthday party packages and they are definitely overpriced compared to other kid friendly places that host birthday parties. The lady with the blonde wig definitely yelled several times and yeah, the soda is served in mouthwash cups. I did see a lot of reviews about how people aren't allowed to skate fast or do tricks but I definitely watched people skate fast & do tricks which was the one thing that looked fun and fine for everyone. Again, I hope the owners care about improving the experience but it will be several years before I think about letting my kids come back. & if the owners don't care, I hope this review helps other parents make an informed choice before booking a party or event! read more

If you're looking to book a party, save your money! Over 200$ and advertised that each kid gets a soda and Costco slice of pizza. What a joke. The pizza slices were equivalent to a slice of a Tostitos pizza, the lady who was supposed to be running our party room left for half the time it was rented out for and then came back yelling at me for getting cups of soda for the kids because they're only allowed to have 2oz of soda each. 1st of all, how am I supposed to know that? She literally just dropped us off in there and left. 2nd of all, I paid 20$ per kid. I expect a full cup of soda each. The lady was also very rude to the children to the point where they were extremely upset about it by the time we left. This place is a joke, and I definitely do not recommend renting it out for a birthday party. read more

Small, cramped space with only "bleacher" style seating available for non-skaters, unless you are in the small, sticky food court. The staff was mediocre with the announcer or DJ almost coming off in a threatening manner with his opening safety message regarding those patrons who don't follow rollerdome's rules, or who don't like rollerdome's rules. I would except a more professional and welcoming tone in an environment geared towards kids and family. Overall, we had an ok experience, with my kids enjoying themselves, I was just expecting more of a quality experience of service and selection given the prices. For a place who treats outside water bottles as if it's drug paraphernalia, I would expect a top-notch food court and was underwhelmed at the variety, quality, and cleanliness of the dining room. Additionally, there wasn't a warm up zone for new skaters or anyone just wanting a slower pace or break. read more

The nostalgia of this rink brings me back to my childhood. It takes you back to getting the courage to hold hands with that special someone. The downfall to this establishment is their strict rules and how they enforce them. The manager and supervisor are rude and announce the rules with threats. I would really love this place completely if they would use finesse and professionalism instead their modus operandi. No thanks. This place is so grunge. Basically built on basketball slats, not the smooth glide that you'd expect from a normal skate rink. It was the middle of summer (98° outside) when we came and we were told our personal water bottles weren't allowed. That was disappointing because every other skating rink I've been to in my 40 years has allowed outside water due to the exercise and workout you're due to complete while skating. Ask for water cups from the mediocre snack bar and the water had a funny aftertaste. I'm sure it formulated that way just to get you to spend $$ for the bottled stuff. Anyways, I think this place has potential, but would like to see a more quality venue and more selection at the food bar, not to mention ending the no-outside-water policy. Just dumb in this day and age when almost everyone has their own water from home and prefers not to ingest microplastics from plastic bought water bottles. Just saying. read more

The parking lot is too small and crowded. Don't park a nice car in there. They need to turn on the AC This place is old and stinky. They have too many rules and the lady is constantly on the loud speaker reminding you of them. 1. You can't bring water in. You kidding me? Its water! 2. Can't be at the table more than 15 minutes. What's better than reliving your childhood moments with your own kids? We have such a great time every time we go here for an afternoon of fun. This particular time I was unable to rollerblade with my family due to a hip surgery. I had an employee come up to me and ask why I wasn't out there skating. Once I explained the reason, the employee came back and gave me two buy one get one coupons so I could come back when feeling better and get to skate with my family. It was one of the nicest gestures I've experienced. All the employees were so friendly and kind. The music was some fun 60's-90's jams that are always easy for parents to get their groove on. After talking to an employee, it sounds like they are considering redoing the skate floor in the next year or so. Which would be super awesome because it's definitely needed. I hosted a group party at the Rollerdrome. It's an older facility but very clean for its age. The host on the microphone is very strict on having people put their personal things in the lockers and all food snack stuff staying in the food snack area and some guests not in our party were annoyed by this but this is also why it is so clean. Everyone had a wonderful time I only wish their pizza was better. The pizza is probably the worst pizza I've ever had. It tasted a little freezer burnt and like the cheapest frozen pizza on the market. Overall, I would host a party here again but would avoid the pizza. read more

You can not bring in your own water. I understand not being allowed to bring in food, but water? When we were told (very rudely) we had to take our water bottles to the car, I told her I would dump it out but she wouldn't allow that. Then we were sitting there watching our kids skate and she went to grab my jacket next to me. She told me I had to put it in a locker! So you can't have your own water, and can't take your jacket off and keep it next to you. She then went around the entire rink and gathered everyone's belonging (while they were skating)~shoes, coats, water bottles diaper bags etc. and took them through an employee's only room. It's one thing to have rules but it's another thing to be so rude to the people that are paying to be there. We left after 45 minutes of skating and I will not bring my kids there anymore. 80s flashback! This place is a whole.lot of fun and if you remember listening to tunes and holding a crushes hand while skating back into the day, this place will remind you... The place is a throwback, but it's in decent condition. The price for admission is affordable and you can find some good deals on groupon if you check. They have plenty of skate and lockers. The music isn't so blistering that you cant have a conversation, and stuff is clean, so you can feel safe having some fun without catching something that has been dormant for the last 4 decades. Did my kids' birthday party here 2 years in a row. Just got back from this year and we were flabbergasted at how downhill this place has gone. The service was non-existent and the party package is now bare bones. Regular admission is $10, but they find it acceptable to double the birthday admission because they'll get one slice of frozen pizza and a cup of soda. We had to bring our own cake, serve it ourselves and clean up as well. Not enough food for our guests like last year, so I had to spend $14 on an 8 inch frozen pizza, and our guests had to clean up themselves. We were thoroughly embarrassed to say the least. $200 for a whopping 90 minutes, and a premium charge to use their ant-infested party room. Now I did tip the kid working our "party" because it was obvious that she was poorly trained and I wasn't going to make this whole ordeal her fault. However, I could've paid everyone's admission and sat them at the regular tables. It would've saved me over $100. The management at this place seems blind to how bad their business practices really are. Today was the final time we'll visit Rollerdrome. With the shoddiness of the whole establishment, no telling how long it will even be around. read more

Such a great time. I booked for my daughter's 7th birthday party. Got there at the beginning of the session, got everyone fitted and a couple warm up laps before they announced her birthday and had us head to the party room. The room was all set up with the food and favors. The presents were put out for us and the cupcakes we chose to bring. The party host was so on top of everything. One of the smoothest birthdays I have hosted at any venue. The kids had so much fun. A few moms told me that their kids now wanted to have their birthday there was well. I grew up coming to this place it used to be a really cool nice hangout spot. I got along with the workers I helped out and made the best friends i could have ever asked for. but everything has gone down hill since then. I was a regular there for a a couple of years and considered a lot of people almost family from growing up there. the building got passed to a new owner from Ray to his kid Josh. He already owns a company so what's owning 2. the issue is he doesn't know how to run a family fun place only a money grab. prices have gone up so he can get more money in his pocket his employees are under paid and over judged. I just wish it was still how it used to be. can't get caught going slightly fast than the 5 years olds who can't skate. or your kicked out, can't learn any other tricks than your kicked out. pretty much the whole jist of it is you skate in a circle very slowly or your kicked out. not like for the night btw like for a month-2 years I've seen some crazy stuff here. I love this place it holds a spot in my heart just wish the new owner was like his father. maybe one day things will get better or they might go under at this point. read more

imtresting to say the least.. the place is alright, not the worst, but also not the best. the man who does the microphone and works where you pay to get in is extremely rude. he doesn't even greet you, and doesn't say anything to you. its not that hard to be nice to people, a lot of people have complained about him on here but it's all the same. you guys should seriously do something about this dude, just read the reviews, that's enough proof, lol. favorites are also extremely played here, the regulars that go here, where are primarily are teenagers, break the rules constantly and barely get a slap on the hand, and if they do get reprimanded, it's more of a, "haha stop it" way. seriously not cool, even if these kids you know, doesn't mean they get to run the place like their own. they need to follow the rules like everyone else. the bathrooms are also disgusting, there's an extreme vaping epidemic here. if you walk into the bathroom, you immediately smell jolly ranchers and it looks like a smoke machine just went off. seriously do something about these little girls smoking up the bathroom.. another thing, water ain't even free?? the water fountain doesn't look trusting.. and it's not to appetizing. people can't even bring their own water bottles, which is seriously stupid. one review from a women says that she offered to dump out her water bottle contents and refill it at the rink, but was rudely told not to. there's a lot of things wrong with that place, but you should still go. read more

I was excited to try skating, they offer rollerblades, and roller skates, me knowing how to ice skate I chose the roller blades, I thought it was alright until I put the skates on.. extremely uncomfortable... tried to skate, fell down in the first two seconds, I am a somewhat experienced skater, so I thought it was going to be easy, but boy I was wrong... after a little bit of skating, I saw the game room.. tried it out.. one of the machines was broken, it took my money and didn't move... I pressed the reject button, it didn't work... scammed me and was kinda pricey... 36 dollars for 3 people... wont be coming back... and to anyone looking to see if they should go, just don't. It wasn't worth it. Also, the bathroom stank like a bathroom would... one of the sinks was broken and didn't turn on... the toilets were not clean... if they fix any of this, I may come back. read more

My son and his friends had such a great time, at his 11th birthday party. It would be a great value if there was at least 2 workers. The lady was nice and did the best she could all alone but the pizza was burnt, skates were falling apart ( at least 5 pair lost the bolts), she was so busy with all of that that she wasn't able to keep up with games, music, and fun for the kids. Last year the pizza was good and the service was great but this year not so much. Hope to go back soon but a tad skeptical. read more

The staff needs to think about how they talk to adults because those are the people who are spending their money here... wouldn't be back again. Very disappointed at least in the roller hockey part. First of all the web site is very vague when explaining what needs to be done to join a hockey team and I had to call several times. First time the lady said I don't know anything about the hockey, was really rude and hung up on me. Several calls later, I Finally went and played a pick up game. The player skill levels are good. The entire place could be amazing with the environment, retro. The place just needs some TLC, updating can be forgiven but unclean is just laziness. There are no locker rooms or any rooms to change. You change in the halls. After the game I spoke with the lady in charge of hockey and she said she would put me on a team and call me. Still waiting six months later. I've been playing as a hockey goalie for over twenty years at over 12 different rinks and this is the worst I have been too at least in regards to hockey. read more

This is a medium sized roller skating rink that was refurbished with a new floor just a few years ago and is the only roller rink still in operation in the Treasure Valley. It has what you would expect from a roller rink: Lot's of old pop from the eighties, disco lights, and the usual cheesy roller games from races to the limbo. All in all, good family fun and highly recommended. The only downside to this place is that the pro shop they just established can't seem to actually sell anything correctly. One of the reasons why I buy locally is to help local businesses thrive, and if I pay a few extra bucks to do that, that's okay. However, while you think a pro shop at a roller rink could locate, order, and deliver a set of roller skates for you, that turns out not to be the case. It took three visits to a confused and bewildered staff to get my step-son's pair of skates, and with that level of lack of customer service, which is an insult to the money we work hard to earn, why would we help them out with their "pro shop." So, in summary, go skate, buy snacks, have fun...and buy your gear elsewhere. read more

Did a private party for my daughters 9th birthday. It was totally awesome so simple I didn't have to do anything other than bring cupcakes and tell the staff what type of pizzas and drink to have ready. Everyone had a blast it was stress free and fun for everyone we even had 3 and 4 year olds out there on practice skates, plus games and music. As a 10 year old, roller rinks were my stomping grounds. This past weekend, I got to relive the glory days and let out my inner-adolescent as I skated in circles for a few hours to my favorite throwback jams. I came here for a date night, which was both so much fun and hilarious. Wanna talk about nostalgia and romance at the same time? Just wait until they announce the "couples skate" - they turn the lights down low and play cheesy throwback love songs. Nothing like the couple's skate to transport you back to those three minutes of glory that came from skating in circles with your elementary school crush - riiiiight? Along with the couple's skate, they also have the "ladies only" and "guys only" skates, races by age group, and a limbo contest. Side note: I would just like to say that I made it surprisingly far in the limbo contest. I attribute my loss to the fact that I was up against a group of kiddos under the age of twelve. There just comes a point in a limbo contest when a seven year old innately has an advantage over you. I mean, I can only crouch so low. Moving on...The majority of people skating around are between the ages of 7 and 15, but you have a few adults and families here and there. Other features that the Rollerdrome has include an arcade, a small menu of food you can order from, lockers to store your belongings ($0.25) and roller skate/rollerblade rentals ($2 for the night). PRO TIP: You can switch from blades to skates (and vice versa) throughout the night if you want to! Overall, so much fun! Everyone from staff to patrons were so friendly and respectful of each other. I saw Experienced skaters helping up new skaters when they fell and giving them pointers. Kids were respectful of elders and each other & there was no issue with disrespect that I observed. I booked our daughters 10th birthday and it seemed to be really easy online. Pretty straight forward but something didn't sit right. It didn't get details on the party once I booked it. It just said show up 15 mins before your slot time. I had a gut feeling I needed to call and double check what the party entailed and the busier I got the more I put it on the back burner. I wish I had. I got there and actually showed up 2 hours LATE. They said it happens a lot but I felt so bad and wasn't aware we needed to be there to skate then the party i booked was only for the birthday room. For anyone reading this! Call right after you book your party so you can get the details. I wish it was more clear online but I take some fault. Also the girls down there are amazing! They made it worth it. Me and my family went to a birthday party for a friend and it wasn't packed.They have both roller blades and skates! They call people in for the celebration, it's about 30 minutes per party. We sang happy birthday and ate cake. They could have a bit better flooring in the back of the rink, it's cracked and multiple people fall there. They had fairly good space and games on the rink.
