What followed instead was one of the most uncomfortable, manipulative sales experiences of my life. I was pressured, cornered, and made to feel foolish and dramatic for having second thoughts. Rather than honoring the cancellation, they coerced me into believing I should keep the dress and "fix" it by essentially redesigning the entire gown--for an additional $2,000. This was presented as my only option. Any attempt to cancel was shut down with "there's nothing we can do," despite the dress being completely untouched. I repeatedly asked for help. I repeatedly said I did not want the dress. Over the course of three months, I followed up countless times (at least 15) trying to find a reasonable solution. The dress was not custom, not altered, and cost $1,800--in a store that regularly sells dresses for $10,000+. I offered multiple compromises: sell it in-store, keep a portion, refund only part of the cost, literally anything. I was never expecting a full refund. I was expecting basic problem-solving and empathy. Instead, I was met with rigidity, dismissiveness, and zero accountability. No solutions. No compassion. No effort. The final insult? I was told that if I didn't come pick up a dress I clearly stated I did not want, they would donate it. After taking my money, refusing every reasonable alternative, and ignoring months of communication, they threatened to give it away. That is not policy--that is punishment. Brides, be warned: once they have your money, you are no longer a person to them. You are a transaction. If anything goes wrong, you are on your own. This experience was stressful, humiliating, and completely avoidable if this business had even a shred of customer care. We booked Memories For You for our wedding in December and there were many details that were…read moreoverlooked, both big and small. All of the planning was supposed to be taken over the month before the wedding but a vacation abroad with little access to email really only gave her two weeks of planning. I will just list some of the issues we experienced from our perspective: The foam wrapping on our center pieces for guest tables was never removed and the bride/groom table piece was placed backwards which was corrected by the bride's mother. We discussed placing a recycling bin behind the bar for our bartenders. This was not done so the best man had to do so. No plates were put out for cake so the bride's mother had to take care of it. The hair and makeup professional expressed to us on the day of the wedding she was confused on some details and never received a phone call to discuss anything. The bartender was not included on the vendor email and never received a wedding timeline or any kind of correspondence. We were told our wedding required two additional staff due to its complexity but last minute only received one. We planned to have the band setup on the grass behind the dance floor but there was no communication with the band as to what kind of surface they needed to play on which resulted in half our dance floor being taken up by the band. If we knew the band had to play on a hard surface, we would have arranged for proper accommodations. Upon trying to access our contract and address list it turns out it was deleted the day after the wedding. Afterwards we were informed that information was posted in the "notes" section of the portal but we were never directly relayed the message that we would no longer have access. We have a record of all vendor contracts to keep on file (all of which were emailed to us from every other vendor with no issue) from the wedding and after trying to obtain a copy of a contract she accused us of trying to SCAM her which was extraordinarily rude, unprofessional, and uncalled for. This was an awful and offensive way to be treated as a customer. We feel that if you are booking a wedding at an established venue that has its own coordination involved, Memories For You might be an okay pick as a vendor. However, if your wedding has a lot of from scratch planning, is in multiple locations, or has lots of moving parts, we feel we cannot recommend Memories For You.
