The sidewalk was supposed to have been 36" wide. It is 33" at one end and 31.5" at the other end. The porch has standing water on it when it rains. It is only about 3 weeks old and already has a crack in it and is chipping in several places. The porch is not even level. I received a text that said he would be back to finish when the rain let up. He never showed up. I contacted 3 other concrete companies to see about getting the porch fixed. Each of them said the way it has been done that the grade is not right and the only way to insure that the water will not cause damage to the foundation is to have it tore out and repoured. They said they might could try something else since I am already out so much money but, they said they did not think it would hold up and they could not guarentee that it would work. He told us he had been doing concrete for 20yrs. Yes his price sounded good to start with but was not good in the end. Had to buy rock for 143.00 that was never mentioned. The georgia buggy was 50.00 more than he quoated. He did not even have a way to get the gerogia buggy to my home. He actually wanted us to use our truck and trailer to go pick it up ourselves. After that didn't work out he had the nerve to want me to pay to rent a trailer to get it. I thought if you were a professional you would have your own equipment or at least a way to get it. I Have had 3 professionals look at the job he did and all of them could not believe the way he did it. ( and suggested I take him to court). This is only a portion of my complaints with the work that was done. I have attached pictures so you can see for yourself. Take my advice. Pay a little more and get the job done correctly by a professional. For the price I am going to have to pay to fix this mess plus what I paid him I could have hired someone who actually done the job right and I would not have had all this added stress. In my opinion, this guy was already running late (not my problem) and just didn't want to drive to Boonesborough. Lazy. I'm a builder. A tradesman. Built homes for Habitat for Humanity, YouthBuild and a few others for profit. We paid TFS almost $2400 to do a simple porch step lift and a fill on some cracks on our small…read morefront walkway. They never lifted the step to pull it up to the front porch, but just shot in some ugly brownish gooey fill on that top step and on some narrow cracks on our walkway. The fill oozed out and made everything look 1000x worse than the way it looked before they did any work. They basically put a bandaid on the cracks and separations and made our front steps and walkway look absolutely ugly and embarrassing. We've been fighting them for weeks to make it right or to refund our money but to no avail. I read their so called "glowing reviews" from prior customers before hiring them so I thought we would be very satisfied. We weren't and now we are at a loss of $2400 and will now have to hire another company to come in and fix their mess.

The drainage ditch is just that a ditch that collects water when it rains. I asked for it to be fixed. It is a complete mess. They used the grass they dug up to cove ditch instead of using sod. I don't care if you explained before doing it. They should take pride in their work and realized how tacky it looks. Of course there is an explanation for everything that is wrong. Never took responsibility for anything that went wrong.
