DO NOT LISTEN TO 5 STARS REVIEWS, they're FAKE! Back in…read moreFebruary, before the pandemic started, I unfortunately lost my job and immediately contacted the owners of this place to let them know that my kids would not be going back due to the loss of income in my household (and to be honest, my kids were not learning cr*p anyways). I personally spoke with one of the owners, Mrs. Milly and explained the situation, she was kind and understanding, wished me the best. Fast forward 5 months later in July, 5 FREAKING MONTHS in the middle of a pandemic I get charged$198 from them!!! 5 months after I had canceled my kids lessons with them (keep in mind their dojo was also closed because of Covid, so no one was getting services or lessons, and NO ONE was answering the phones!!!) so I decided to go straight to my bank and fight back the charge. Now these CRIMINALS have been trying to collect payments from me since then, sending me letters trying to collect $198 every month, mind you -AGAIN- my kids haven't set a foot in that place since February 2020, and these thugs are trying to charge me every month for services or lessons not rendered and they're also trying to mess up my credit because they sent the "debt" to a collection agency that won't stop harassing me! I am beyond myself, in disbelief that these people are capable of such a horrible crime, knowing lots of people don't have the income and we are in the middle of a pandemic. What bothers me the most is the fact that WE DON'T owe them anything, because again -yes, I will keep repeating myself- I canceled my kids lessons in February! Please do not give them your money, for the love of God and everything that's sacred, do not give them access to your credit card or bank accounts. They're thieves. I already contacted a lawyer.

This group uses ASF International to bill it's customers on contract. If your child is injured or…read moreunable to participate. They will continue billing you and will not under any circumstances stop the charges against your account ($100/month) unless you spend at least $90 to put a stop order in against them. They don't mention that ASF has an informal policy that they don't allow anyone to stop their membership. ASF International will try different angles to hack your bank account so do not, under any circumstances, allow this organization to have any of your personal information. After you put in a stop against them they'll continue sending you bills. Just a heads up. I like the instructors and the Manager on a personal level. But unless they cut the ties with ASF, it's all downhill from here. I highly recommend the gym from a competitive and sport athletics program, just don't give them access to your accounts or sign any agreements to allow automatic charges to your account. You will regret it.

The programming is varied. Monday: Upper Body, Tuesday; Total Body, Wednesday; lower body, Thursday; Total body, Friday; Cardio and abs, Saturday; Total body and Sunday; Lower body. The exercises are varied, so if you hated one workout, the next one will be different. The instructors demonstrate the exercises after the warmup. The exercises are rotated so the other regulars know the exercises and you can follow along. If you are new the instructors will take the time to work you through it one on one. If you are new to exercising at this intensity you can dial it off by using lower weights, taking longer breaks, or in my case I tapped out after two rounds versus three. There is no pressure except yourself to perform. The gym is open air. I have only worked out here in the winter, but find my self gravitating to the doors for fresh air. There is ample supply of equipment for all strength levels. I have noticed some couples coming in and one partner doing their own workout on the weights. I have had a stroke and have balance and cognitive deficits. I know the modifications to the exercises that I need and there is equipment available for adaption. The instructors are patient with me in asking questions of something I'm sure they already said. They have a ten percent discount for military, veterans, and law enforcement. I live nearby and walk in the field next to Empire. They have underutilized lighted soccer fields that are perfect for a team practice at night. The teams are out there at night with music blasting and balls blazing. They have recently started a boxing program on Tuesdays and Thursdays that seems intriguing. They have different heavy bags available. I avoided this gym the last year due to Covid. Both me and my wife were fully vaccinated in March, so I was willing to give it a go. NO ONE wears a mask! They do a good job of sanitizing before, during, and after workouts, with all people participating in keeping it clean. They have the workout spaces divided into six foot blocks and have modified the workouts to maintain social distancing. The bottom line is that I would not recommend an unvaccinated person or one who has not had COVID work out here, especially when Jonathan breaks out one of his SHIIT workouts that will get everyone breathing super hard. The music is a negative for me. It is super loud (as in a club) and is either Regaton or Urban music. A diversity of Dance, House, Disco, Electronica, Salsa, Merengue, and Rock would be appreciated to match the diversity of clients. Maybe rotate a different style each day and ensure that styles vary between weeks. I will do a review again post-covid and if DJ issue is resolved, they should be at five stars.

Both have enjoyed it…read moreso much that they're are planning on returning promptly and my mother is soon to get hers in the next week. My dad has been recommending the body work to everyone in our family and getting everyone excited about doing something for their physical health. Tony is incredible with anatomy and adjustment and can fix all the different ailments you're body has! They're yoga teachers are all so incredible and it really feels like a family when you're here! Classes range on all hours of the day so it can fit your schedule and all classes are for the totally new to yoga and for the familiar yogi. Come check out the beautiful new space and you won't regret how wonderful you feel! Weather in a yoga class or body work session you'll get the best treatment and feeling afterwards! Ps: also super affordable compared to some other yoga studios!

As a Physical Therapist Assistant I take pride in healing people and in helping them return to their lives and jobs after injuries, but rarely do I get the opportunity of having someone work on me. After hours of conversation I was sure that Tony knew what he was talking about, and O got a great "vibe" from him. I decided to try a group session and was amazed! Tony leads the class in a way that is so easy to follow with options for all levels; he pays particular attention to posture and is able to guide you to an optimal position without being forceful. Nothing like other yoga places I had tried. After the experience in the group setting I wanted to try the Bodywork session, and oh boy was it worth it! Tony was able to address lacks or range that even I, as a trained clinician had missed in my relentless stretching sessions, my lumbar pain caused by a day lifting patients was gone, and I felt as if I had been handed a new body. It was truly the most relaxing experience I have ever had, and I wish I could put into words what the session felt like. It was truly amazing! I have recommended this place to my family and even to my "graduating" patients who seek to maintain the gains made in the clinic and further their connection with their bodies. Thank you Tony for giving Homestead access to such amazing classes, in such a cozy environment!
