Updated Review!!! A little over a year ago, I left a negative review after canceling my membership just a few months in. At the time, I felt the policies were overly rigid and lacked compassion. I was denied entry for being about 7 minutes late because of traffic, was charged for late cancellations that I don't remember being clearly explained when I signed up, and even during a public emergency when schools were closed and I had no childcare, there was no flexibility. It felt like once you paid for a class, there should have been some reasonable accommodation for life's unexpected situations. I'm updating my review because, from my experience this year, things seem to have improved. I don't know if there's new management or if the studio has simply become more customer-focused, but the staff has been genuinely kind and much more understanding. I've noticed people arriving a few minutes late (around 5 -8 minutes) and still being allowed into class, and when I had to miss a couple of classes, the team worked with me instead of just pointing to the policy. At the end of the day, Homestead has very limited Pilates options, and I think it's important for local businesses to take care of their community. Policies matter, but so does empathy. I'm pretty non committal when it comes to memberships. But the first free intro class was very enjoyable and so I took the plunge. I'm 5 classes in thus far, each one has had a different instructor. Each class has been challenging and felt very productive. Although each instructor has their own style and routine, they have all been knowledgeable, easy to follow, patient with newbies, and quite welcoming. The studio is very nice, always spotless. I started at club Pilates a year ago in another location and it was too far for me so sadly I had to stop. I was SOOO HAPPY when they opened one close by me and signed up right away! Immediately the front desk welcomed me and was very sweet. I really missed these classes and honestly , I've loved the coaches and the classes here. My husband is even joining me now and he gets a real good workout out of it. The coaches are very knowledgable on body position and doing things correctly to not injure yourself , and to actually get a good workout out of it. This was one of the main things that drew me to club Pilates to stay. It's easy to tell a class what to do, but when you can pay attention to each person and monitor if they are doing things incorrectly , that's what makes a great coach. I'm new to the Pilates world so I want to make sure what I'm doing is correct. I also wanted to add that they have different levels and classes to take so if you're scared of doing it for the first time , don't be! Just let them know and you'll feel comfortable! Using this as my way back into a healthier lifestyle. First time doing Pilates on these machines and I really like it. I feel like there is less opportunity to get hurt with the small group, knowledgeable instructors and controlled movements. Don't kid yourself into thinking it's not a real workout though! This place is great! I started Pilates on the very first week when they opened and much to my surprise, I will keep on going..(I never enjoyed any gym or exercise class until now) The classes are fun, sometimes harder than expected depending on what we do.. one thing for sure is that they are never the same.. that's part of the fun workout.. each class targets different areas and each instructor has her style. They will work with you and make you advance little by little boosting your energy level and your resistance.. I am sleeping better, walking taller and feeling energized and maybe a little younger... one can hope!! The atmosphere is welcoming, impeccably kept and fun. The staff is awesome: caring, considerate and accommodating to all levels of fitness and experience..
