Bonchon is a good place to get your Korean fix. The bibimbap is pretty good, but avoid the hot dog. It's way too greasy.

I usually order take out from here when we're in the mood for chicken. They have THE BEST chicken…read morewings in the area. Fresh chicken is cooked to order, so there's a little bit of a wait; but it's worth it for piping hot, crispy, juicy chicken. When we walked in, there was a large group of loud college students in the dining room. I looked at hubby and we were contemplating on walking out. I happened to notice that one of the waitresses was coming out of a small hallway holding a bill. Wait a minute.... there is another dining area past the bathrooms. There are semi-private and private rooms available; but since there were only two of us, we sat in the semi-private room. WE ORDERED: - Ramyun mild - the noodles reminded me of instant noodles. They were ok but tasted better after adding a little kimchi. - 1/2 order Sweet & Spicy Chicken - my favorite flavor here. It was served hot and crispy with a spicy sweet caramelized glaze: finger lickin good! - Complimentary banchan - Fresh and crunchy, perfect compliment to the chicken. The wait staff can't see you if you're in the semi and private room away from the main dining area, they rely on you to push that call button that's located at the end of your table. I appreciate that they come quickly; but you can also stop any of the wait staff passing by, even if they're not your primary waiter/tress. Your can never go wrong with CHICKEN WANGS!!!

Recently a new diner opened in our neighborhood; Chicken n' Chops. The main branch is located in BF Parañaque and we're lucky enough they've expanded their business in Las Pinas. Since I was yearning to eat chicken one day, I found myself standing in front of the diner searching their menu for the supreme chicken on the list. Their menu comprises of specialty chicken, pork, fish, vegetables and preorder noodles. The staff recommended their best seller, the Hainanese Chicken (Php320.00/whole-no half order) but I preferred their Buttered Fried Chicken instead. (Php 150.00-half order) It's approximately 12pcs of crispy, breaded, buttered chicken sprinkled with bits of toasted garlic. It was well seasoned and they have homemade gravy that complimented the dish. Overal,l it was a good experience, the place was simple, clean, well maintained but can only accommodate 10 customers at a time so you can't bring big groups to hang out here.
RATING FOR CHICKEN ONLY:…read more They have a takeout window so you don't even need to enter the restaurant to order. Since it was our first time, we thought we should check out the interior. Private rooms, cushiony half booths and regular tables. Spacious and clean with a bathroom, central air and fans, WiFi and background music that switches back and forth from Korean songs to popular music. The bathrooms and the hand washing station are beautiful. We were given 2 complimentary banchan (crunchy and fresh) and fried eggs while waiting for our food. We ordered their 3 boneless chicken sets (regular - plain, seasoned - sweet chili sauce, and Kanpung tastes like Szechuan seasoning); I preferred the Kanpung out of the three. The chicken pieces were served warm, coating was crunchy and had sticky caramelized sauce. There were lots of crunchy little bits scattered about YUM! They used both dark and white meat in their chicken sets. Not much meat in their boneless chicken; but if you love popcorn chicken, then this is your kind of place. Staff are friendly but rely completely on the call button, eventhough we were the only ones in the restaurant. They do work hard to keep the place spotless: inside and outside. They have just opened recently, so I'm giving them some slack in the rating.

A few weeks ago, I discovered that a branch has finally opened in Makati. At the streetside section of Glorietta 2, directly facing Landmark, it's hard to miss the place. What with a conspicuously designed name printed on its glass window and right above the entrance. Finding a seat is also not a problem as the dining area is huge and there are plenty of tables and chairs. I liked Wingstop even before I tasted their food. The reason: Their food choices are few. You'll not be overwhelmed by different options or types of food. Their menu revolves around chicken wings. Since their Makati branch is fairly new, I imagined that customers would take a long time to decide what to order. But it didn't take long for the people ahead of me to finish their transactions at the counter. It could be that everyone had already tried Wingstop and knew what to eat or it could be that 7:00pm is not a good time to eat wings (are you kidding me?). Since I was on my way home, I decided to have my orders in a takeaway bag. I simply wanted to sample their wings so I got a 7-piece order of wings with two flavors - Garlic Parmesan and Louisiana Rub. Both taste great but I liked the Louisiana Rub better because of its sweet and mild spicy flavor.

I wouldn't recommend coming during rush hours, because even if there were more staff, they'd be bumping into each other in such a small work space. Servers are friendly. Most of the wing choices are saucy with the top 3 hottest flavors needing waivers (nice gimmick). ORDERED: - Chipotle Lime - sauce poured over wings so they were not fully covered. Sauce was thick like a cheese sauce. This was tasty. - Louisiana Cajun Spice - one of the few dry rubs. Reminded me of the flavorful salty wings from Wingstop. - (Waffle) fries were crispy but again salty. - Dirty rice - for fast food this was pretty good. Food came out reasonably fast and everything was piping hot. Hubby thought the wings were a tad overcooked but I thought they were fine. Sure we'd come back if we're craving for something saucy or salty.

AMBIENCE Restaurant is situated where Jamba Juice used to be…read moreand it also has a second floor. When we entered, the entire first floor was packed and lines were long for ordering and claiming. The crowd eventually lessened as several minutes went by but there were still a lot of customers. FOOD We tried the 3PC Chicken Tenders and the 1PC Chicken and both had different textures especially on the coating. Tenders were typically good but the Bold BBQ dip was the star flavor in this combo; tasted really good! 1PC had tender white meat and a really thick coating, which tasted good but made the chicken actually look smaller. Biscuit was just as good as before and still somewhat plain, which I totally appreciate. At first, I thought the flavor was infused into the biscuit but turns out you put it in like you would with butter. Our flavor was honey but the experience of placing it in the biscuit was more interesting than the actual flavor. Spaghetti had a sweet and subtly unique taste. Fries had a nice and crispy texture. Among our orders, I still think only about those good and plain biscuits. SERVICE We had to wait quite awhile because there were lots of customers, and one number was called several times sometime before ours. The customer of that number never came and I was able to eventually get our order. I'd like to suggest that they use a TV screen (unless they have one upstairs already) or a pager to call out the number especially for customers upstairs.
