Parking is easy in the complex and BSB is right off the freeway for convenience. The staff was very friendly on the phone - answering my questions and when I arrived. They took good care of my pup while he was there and he was excited when I picked him up. When I picked him up, they told me he was a "good boy." After probably about 5 years, I recently moved back to the area. I'm looking for a new place to bring my pup on a consistent basis. I will say they did a great job grooming but their prices are pretty outrageous. I came from Andy's in Sherman oaks that charged $55 for a small dog if you get their packages. No up charge for non scented shampoo. I asked for non scented because I prefer not to put all the scents and chemicals on my pup that make both of us itchy lol but they charge an additional $8 for that. Come to find out they charged $96 for my 12 pound pup. Maybe I'm out of touch but that just seems insane to me. I will say he was done in 2 hours, and he looks great so if it's in your price range I'd recommend the grooming service. But i am looking for a trusted place where I'm happy to bring my pup & I will say the woman working here didn't sell me on this place or their service. I'm not a groomer, give me the options on how to cut my dog's hair since I'm a new customer and don't have a set preference. Sell me as the customer, make me comfortable, say hey it's $8 for natural shampoo but it's great quality. DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE. My experience was absolutely devastating. Immediately after picking up my dog from his grooming appointment, I had to rush him to an emergency veterinary clinic because he was in excruciating pain. He was unable to move his limbs normally and was crying and screaming in pain. Based on his injuries, the veterinarian told me they believed he may have fallen from the grooming table. What made this experience even worse was the grooming salon's response. Instead of being transparent about what happened, they repeatedly denied that anything had occurred and failed to provide an honest explanation. If an accident happened, I needed that information immediately so my veterinarian could properly diagnose and treat my dog. Because I was not given accurate information, the veterinary team had to spend additional time and perform additional examinations to determine what had happened and which part of his body had been injured. That delayed his treatment, prolonged his suffering, and resulted in additional veterinary expenses. Accidents can happen anywhere. What I cannot accept is the apparent lack of honesty and transparency afterward. As a pet owner, you trust a groomer with a member of your family. When something goes wrong, that trust requires immediate disclosure so the animal can receive the appropriate medical care as quickly as possible. I would never trust this business with my dog again, and I strongly encourage other pet owners to consider my experience before bringing their pets here. read more

Our dog attended daycare at Bone Sweet Bone for years. When a family tragedy occurred, we booked him for a weekend stay. After two nights away, we arrived to pick up our dog. We noticed a dent in his head, and realized that our dog's fur was concealing a deep bite over one eye. No first aid had been administered. The front desk staff stated that they were not aware of it. We rushed our dog to the vet. He needed staples and antibiotics. For days, the owner of Bone Sweet Bone was unreachable. We called and emailed multiple locations. We demanded to know what happened. We asked to review the surveillance footage. No one could give us any information. Finally, we received separate contact information for the manager. He asked for the vet bill and paid it. We were told that there was no video footage of an attack. Our dog must have "played too hard." Now that we use a different daycare with live video cameras, we know that was a lie. Our dog keeps to himself and socializes with the staff. Bone Sweet Bone should be ashamed. Everything was handled poorly and with zero accountability. I brought my poodle puppy in for a few nights stay when I was scheduled to have surgery. Admittedly I was nervous about leaving a 5 month old with strangers for several days. What I didn't expect was how beautifully they treated my little Fozzie Bear and how much love and great care he received. From the moment I dropped him off he was gently eased into the communal facility where he could romp and play with a few other small dogs. This was great for him as socialization and to keep him distracted from home. I ended up leaving him for 6 days, not the original 4 due to medical issues. When I picked him up he was actually happier and calmer than when I left him. He was immaculate, had made friends with all sorts of people and pups, and his disposition ever since has been wonderful! The staff is lovely and extremely caring, they kept me well informed and have me great updates during his stay. It's a smaller facility and immaculately clean. I took my 3 year old Yorkie Terrier in to get cleaned up. This was her first time ever going to a professional groomer. She was terrified when we walked in. But, I had to trust the process. I came back 2 hours later and to my surprise, they did an absolutely perfect hair cut on her. I like her hair on the longer side and they kept it long and made it nice and neat. She has never looked so good and did not seemed stressed when I picked her up. I was probably more stressed than her. I've waited a few days to post this because I've needed time to calm down. This past weekend they sent my dog home with the wrong family. They also sent me home with the wrong dog and when I questioned them, they gaslit me and told me "no, this is your dog." and "this dog cried the way your dog cries when he's here." (I'm sorry, WHAT? No one ever mentioned that he cries when he's there.) The other family who took home my dog had the same experience. They even called to say that my dog didn't look like their dog; they were told/lied to that Bone Sweet Bone hadn't had any other similar looking dogs. (They admittedly do look alike but with distinct features.) They never answer the phones there (and have no voicemail set up) so it's incredibly difficult to get ahold of anyone. We luckily were able to recover our dog. Both of us owners were extremely traumatized. There is no excuse. When you drop your pet off somewhere, we're trusting them to take care of our babies. They didn't take care of mine. We will NEVER be returning and will only be using mobile grooming from here on out. read more

First time getting my dog groomed so I searched around for a good spot not too far from my house and I found these guys at a reasonable price. I have a 10 month goldendoodle who's about 85 pounds. I wanted the full service including nails, glands, trim, etc. These guys were very professional and got my dog in 2 days after I called them. The location is in a little shopping mall right off ventura blvd which was very easy to find. I dropped my pup off around 12pm and they came outside to get him. Then they were done around 330pm and I came over after I was off work. I also asked for a special cut to make my little guy look like a lion and they nailed it! The lady who helped me also pointed out some cuts on his paws that I didn't notice so they cleaned it up good and I got some antibiotic ointment on it asap. I took my dog here for a haircut once any they messed it up so the second time I let them know what I was looking for and they disregarded what I wanted and left the tail fully and the face and it was a terrible cut. So I took my puppy back and explained what I was looking for and they disregarded it again! They shoved the middle of her head and left the rest! I recommend this place slows down, writes down client requests and don't jump into the cut. Let the dog hang for 30 minutes to get comfy then cut the hair. My dog is scared of this place and the cuts are not great! They could be better if they wrote down the notes. read more

First off I want to start by saying I absolutely hate taking my dogs to grooming for this very reason. They put my dogs in a cage without food, water or bathroom, for 3.5 hours. My dog is a french terrier mix and she is 7 years old. When I came to pick her up from grooming today she was panting like she never did before, gasping for air. When I got to the car I let her have some water because she actually couldn't get a breath in. She immediately started drinking the water and trying to breathe, I could tell she was unsettled and stressed. This is not her first time at the groomer considering her age and she has never acted like this after an appointment. On top of all that she has this big scratch under her arm on her ribs and I don't know if its from the leash but I'm just super disappointed in the attention to my dog. Dogs are like kids and they shouldn't be left in a cage for hours until the groomer has time. I don't understand why every groomers are like this, just call me 20 min before tell me to bring my dog in, groom them and I'll take my dog. I understand there's more people getting their dogs groomed but there's a line, why do my dogs need to wait in a cage scared and alone with no water. When I say we want a bath and bath only, I WANT A BATH AND A BATH ONLY! I pick up my dog and his paws are completely choppy and trimmed off and his face has been hacked at. This is apparently their "sanitary trim". Why would he get ANYTHING trimmed when I specifically said NO trimming just a bath and blow out. Now my dog as the worst looking haircut because the incompetent and clearly uncommunicative staff just did want they wanted. I will NEVER return here for grooming services. It was both of my 4 month old puppies first time getting groomed and I am so happy it was at this facility. I booked my appointment a couple days prior over the phone and just needed to fill out a couple questions on an iPad when I got there. I was able to email them proof of their vaccinations as I forgot the hard copies at home. The staff is all very friendly and explains everything well. The girl who checked us in asked what type of hair cut the pups wanted and preferences which was really nice. The appointment took about 3.5 hours for both dogs. Upon pickup they helped take the dogs to the car with me. The groomer also came out and gave me a run down of the service and how the dogs did, which was greatly appreciated. After moving to LA last year, I've only brought my long-haired dachshund to Bone Sweet Bone for grooming, so we have been there several times with standing instructions on how she should be groomed - no need to trim the body, no need to trim the tail. When I dropped her off today, I added that the ear fur should be contoured along the ear leather because the backs were getting exceptionally long. When I got her home, I saw they had trimmed her tail a ridiculous amount so she no longer has the typical flag of a mature long-haired dachshund. They also trimmed her body fur needlessly and didn't follow the instructions on the ears with uneven trimming there. To top things off, I found a nick on her belly that they did not disclose. Accidents happen, but I expect to have them communicated to me since I trusted you with my pet. They offered that I could bring her in for them to address the ears, but why would I trust them again after this, and they offered nothing in terms of compensation for the tail, which is slow-growing and will look absurd for far too long. Normally my dog always receives compliments on how beautiful she looks, but after 9 years of owning her, this is the worst haircut she has ever had. If the groomer had ever seen a long-haired dachshund, they would know the work they did today was unacceptable for the breed. My disappointment is immeasurable and I will not be returning. read more

It hurts me to write this review. We have recently moved to Woodland Hills and we were looking for a day care for our Luna. We found Bone Sweet Bone on Yelp. It didn't seem like there were many dogs coming here to play, but Juliana seemed really nice and Luna seemed to like her. This helped buy me a few hours a day when we were settling in to the new home. Last week I spoke with Juliana and sent Luna for a wash, paw, sanitary and face trim. Luna came back with a strange haircut. I didn't think much of it as sometimes groomers have off days. That night Luna struggled to pee and also had diarrhea thrice at night. The next morning I checked her thoroughly. There was a huge cut and swelling in her vulva from the grooming. Luna was hurt and scared and hence had an upset stomach from the anxiety of it. I took Luna to the vet immediately and had to give her medications and was warned that this could have been much worse in such a sensitive area. I called Juliana immediately. Firstly, I was surprised that she said that she had not groomed Luna and that someone else called Amanda had and that she would check with Amanda how this happened and that I should send an email with a picture. I have waited one whole week for a response of acknowledgment of what happened and some explanation. I am sure accidents happen. I only ask that someone call and take responsibility and inform me so that I can take Luna to vet on time to avoid further complications. I am sad to write this review as I know that a lot of people will be impacted when it is clearly due to the negligence of one person. But having seen the lack of response and responsibility I know that I will never send Luna there again for daycare or grooming. I'm not happy at all with the result, my little Aussie only had some of her nails trimmed, she still had her matte behind her ear, they didn't clean her ears up at all, and completely chopped off her rear end hair when I specifically asked to have it cleaned up, and they didn't even chop it off like a professional either, it looks like my toddler did it. It's ugly, Completely un-even, there's some longer parts and some shorter parts. I will not be bringing my dogs back here again. My dog, Lucy, went to daycare last week for the first time while we spent the day moving. She came home to a new home, happy and relaxed. The staff treated her exceptionally well and I am quite pleased with the services provided! Lucy will be boarding with Bone Sweet Bone for almost a week and I have no doubt she will be well cared for as well as have a great time! I really like the fact that the littles and the bigs are kept separated and that you can view the dogs on camera to see how they're interacting with the others. I also like the fact that they are in a group setting for daycare and overnight care, so they don't get lonely.
