Bongo Boy is a multi-track recording studio offering audio recording, editing, mixing and mastering. Our other services include CD & DVD duplication, CD & DVD packaging layout and graphic design, and transferring of audio tapes to CD, and VHS & 8mm tapes to DVD. All transfers can be saved as digital files, as well. We have been operating in Humboldt County since 2001, and have been active members of the professional music industry for many years. What sets Bongo Boy apart is our "one-stop-shop" feature. The entire album is recorded, then mixed, & finally made into a CD master or digital file. We can design and create a retail-ready package which includes a full color design that gets printed directly onto the discs during our in-house duplication! The most popular quantity of CDs ordered is 100, although we'll do any amount, from 1 on up to a few hundred. And our prices are surprisingly competitive with large companies. We only use the highest quality CDs & DVDs that are water & fade resistant. We accept credit cards using PayPal, as well as personal check or cash. We're happy to answer any questions about our services, and by appointment, we'll gladly give you a tour of our studio.

Inspired by the Jamaican movie "Rockers," Susie & Jimmy Foot founded Bongo Boy to help musicians get their albums recorded quickly and retail-ready at prices they could afford. After 18 years in Humboldt County, Bongo Boy has built a reputation of professionalism in a relaxed and creative atmosphere.

Meet the Business Owner: Jimmy and Susie F.

Susie & Jimmy Foot have worked in the professional audio field for many years. Susie's credits as a studio engineer include Santana, Herbie Hancock, Patti LaBelle, Mickey Hart, Larry Graham & Sheila E. Jimmy Foot has worked as a professional guitar player, album producer & studio engineer. His production & engineering credits include Rod Deal & The I-Deals, The Rhyth-O-Matics, Jah Sun, Ska Santas, Mobile Chiefing Unit, UFO 8, Anna Hamilton, Magnolia, Something Different, Tea Leaf Green, Clint Vick, Djialy Kunda Kouyate, Ramon Hunter, Collective Elements, 51 Cards, Kingfoot, Angels Cut, Prezident Brown, Stevie Culture, Spunj, Luten Fyah, JoAnne Rand, & sound tracks for video & film. Susie & Jimmy served on the Board of Governors of the San Francisco Chapter of NARAS, the organization that awards the Grammy. Jimmy served as both SF Chapter & National Vice-President. Both were very involved with its various committees, & co-produced the chapter's annual Grammy Nominees' Party.
