Love this place. Great customer service, excellent inventory, and good prices. Why go to Staples when you can shop local?

I went to the Bayshore Mall to get a haircut. It's the day before the semester starts. I check in…read moreat Supercuts. Lots of people. It'll be a half-hour wait. If I'm not back when they call my name, I'll lose my spot. I also need a cable and a gel pad. Can I make it to Staples and back in time? I walk around the mall. Hmm, maybe T.J. Maxx sells computer cables. I walk over and look through the big window but they've blocked off their interior entrance from the mall. Hey, I'm hungry. Maybe a little chocolate at one of these shops? Nah. So where's Staples? The map says it's right next to Kohl's. OK, I found Kohl's but I don't see Staples. I do some googling. Apple Maps says Staples is *that* way. I walk in that direction but still no Staples. A security guard's eyes lock onto two ladies walking down the hall. I ask him, "Where's Staples?" He says, a little hurriedly, "Outside." As I look for an exit, I hear him say in a commanding voice, "Ladies! There's no smoking in the mall." I get outside. Where's Staples? Now I see it. My half hour's nearly up. Now seconds count. I get inside Staples, walk straight forward, and there's a guy named Markus. He asks, "Can I help you find anything today?" Yes, I tell him. I'm looking for a USB-C-to-USB-C cable and a gel pad. He takes me to the cables. He knows every option and exactly what the trade-offs are. He asks if I'm using it to hook up a laptop to a charger. Yes. He tersely explains what I need to know. Seconds later, we're at the gel pads. He knows what they have, and he understands what I need. They don't carry it. Not one second wasted. I buy the cable and walk back to Supercuts. My name hasn't been called yet. Victory!

So I orderd some tires online they came to my house an there the wrong size I get the return lable…read moresent to my phone, I go to staples in eureka an printed out two copies of the return lable as my tires came two by two after printed out i went to my car an pulled out two of the tires attached the lable an took them in side I waited in a some what long line I get to the front an tell the man I need these to be returned he said is the same lable for all 4 tires I said yes gave the two that was not attached he said imma need u to bring all 4 tires in okay so I go out to my car again an grab the other two tires attach the lable to thoes as well when I get n in the store there is now a new line that is longer so I wait again when I get to thr front again this SOB thinks hes funny an says u have to have them all attach to each other, really, cuz this is exactly how they came to me. So again I go out to my car an grab my packing tape an head to thr front of the line an get ready to tape all your tires together an he looked at the tires an thrn said u know what, I dont even think I can take these, wtf! What do u mean j can't take them he said yea u have to send it freight. I said are u for real? I know u didnf have me pull these two other tires out my car then go back to my car for tape just to tell me u can't ship it! Why wouldn't u say that to me when u seen me with two tires, why the hell would u have me go to my car two different times ? U think ur funny? I want to tell to the manager he said i am the manager! Wow! Are u kidding me right now! Then he started to smirk at me like (what now bitch?) OH hell NO!!! Worst customer service ever!!! That fat ass needs to be fired! Off top! I will tell everyone I know to never go to staples again! I will tell every booster I know to steal a gang of shit from staples! Until u are ran out of business u should mess with people u dont know PERIOD that man was so dam rude! I was straight flabbergasted an i was not quiet about it so every one in line including the store knew why I was up set then when I was trying to leave an telling the other employees of the man's rudeness another employee kept saying thoes baskets dont go out side, do I look like an idiot! I know the basket dont go out side but I have to bring these 4 tires to ur door to put them back in my car! I used to be manager at Dariy Queen never ever would I give such bad customer service!

We used The Party Place for our wedding 6/19/22. We reserved our rentals with them 6 months in…read moreadvance, and I remember them thanking me for booking so early, and assuring me that it was the best way to get everything we needed and to have the best experience. Things seemed good in the beginning; we were able to reserve everything we wanted, make changes as we went, didn't have to pay anything up front, and staff were friendly and helpful. However, as we got closer to the event, things started to go downhill. They began referring to my wedding weekend as "the Hell weekend" which I found unprofessional and distasteful, especially considering I had made our reservations so far in advance. They cut their business hours from open M-F to open only M & F and I found it very difficult to get responses from anyone over the phone or via email. Two weeks before our event, I was speaking with staff on the phone and it became apparent that they had had our event date wrong the entire time. Instead of the 19th, they had the 18th, and were expecting to pick up the items on the day we were supposed to be having our event instead of the day after. I was appreciative that they found a work around, but it was very alarming. On the day they were supposed to deliver our items, the delivery was running about 2 hours late before I got a phone call saying that many of our rented items were in the back of a U-Haul that was involved in an accident. I was told that they "almost" weren't able to provide chairs but managed to scrape them together (honestly, why stress me out with that if they worked it out) but that all of our gold chargers had been destroyed and we would be issued a refund. When the rest of the items finally arrived, we were missing 2 tables, half of our chalkboard signs, and half of our linens. Because it was a weekend, we were not able to communicate with them to get the items we needed and had to find replacement items elsewhere and at additional cost. In addition, the chairs they provided were dirty with mud and bird poop, some of them didn't unfold correctly, and all of the linens were horribly wrinkled. It caused a lot of stress and disappointment at a very critical time. We went in the Monday after our wedding, on our way to our honeymoon, to discuss all of the missing items. They were willing to refund us for everything that wasn't provided, but said our refund should deposit within 5 business days. We are still waiting for this refund. I decided to give two stars instead of one because despite the extremely disappointing outcome and the fact that I will not use or recommend this company in the future, I did find Taylor in particular to be friendly and helpful in the beginning, and apologetic and willing to compensate us for our dissatisfaction in the end. We feel that our experience with The Party Place started out very promising and turned out to be a huge let down. If only we had known what we were in for on our wedding day, we would never have used this company.
