I told Kara about the concept I had in mind for the shoot and she came prepared with inspiration for poses and helped direct me throughout the shoot while also leaving space for my input. She really knows what she's doing with angles, lighting, framing, and body positioning. Kara also added a special touch by providing a brief Oracle reading at the end of my session, and the content felt relevant and inspiring. A few days after the shoot, we did a video call to look at the images so I could pick my favorites, and then she sent me the edits the same day - I'm so impressed by the turnaround time. It made our interviews look much better with the windows, open ceiling and hardwood floors. I would love to come back and film again. The traffic near the building occasionally had sound issues, but it's on par with sound you would get anywhere else. Also be forewarned that it is on the second floor with stairs. But both these issues are worth it for the natural backdrop. I would say, for us these really were not issues. I'm just letting people know.

I've been a model for 5+ years and worked with a large variety of photographers, both inside and…read moreout of Utah. Phillip is phenomenal and a cut above the rest. With some photographers, you get a shutter-pusher (sorry if that's harsh). With Phillip, you get a creative visionary and true collaborator. He's meticulous and deliberate about the shots that he takes - there's nothing cookie cutter about his work, and he can truly do anything (weddings, product photography, high fashion, you name it). He's also a creative to the bone and wonderful at giving feedback before and during a shoot. Choosing a photographer is all about finding the style that you want. Phillip's style is one-of-a-kind and has an ethereal quality to it. Many of his shots feel like something between art and photography. Look at his portfolio. It's possible that his style isn't for you, but if it is, you won't find a better photographer to execute on it.
