I had called since my chimney had become nearly completely blocked. Dan scheduled me for the next day; however, due to the heavy rains he asked if we could reschedule for the very next day! He was very helpful with advice on between cleanings to prevent build up. The value received for $140 was priceless and he's genuinely a nice guy to talk with! Back in 2017 Dan had given us advice on the woodstove we had and that we should consider a more efficient model. He had given us 3-4 suggestions and we went and found one of his recommendations at Tractor Supply on sale. Dan came back out and did the install for us. He is already late, I cancel, and say that I saw the weather, this Thursday we set another appointment. He fails to arrive. I call and ask if we had the right date. I later find my notes and it was, and he stood me up. I also need a 24 hour window to warn tenants legally. He then calls on the following Monday to show up in a hour. I needed a 24 hour notice to be legally safe. He does not return calls, and three weeks later still the vanish act. Avoid him, even though people rave on BL and BC facebook. There are two Dan's chimney services a few blocks from each other, maybe I got the cluster fuck one, but moving on as I need it cleaned for a mom with 6 kids.
