I used to bring my King German Shepherd to this place, but I stopped after the last two visits when they shaved her down to the skin, around her tummy leaving her with painful scratches. When my groomer transferred here, I decided to give them another chance --BIG MISTAKE! This time, I brought in my Alaskan Husky, and my regular groomer was not there. When I picked her up, she was hobbling and when I confronted the owner, he had the audacity to ask, "Wasn't she like this when you brought her in?" What kind of professional even suggests that a pet owner would bring in an injured animal? Then he had the nerve to tell me, *"We couldn't finish the job, but you still owe me."* I was furious. I threw the money at him and stormed out. When I got home, I discovered her ears were bright red and nearly bleeding. Fast forward two days and $883 in vet bills later: my dog has been diagnosed with a severely strained right paw and is now so traumatized she won't let anyone touch her paws. This place is a nightmare. They are unprofessional, careless, and clearly have no regard for the well-being of the animals in their care. I went here with my puppy Loki for the first time for a simple nail trim and toothbrushing, it was an overall decent experience. The groomer was fairly quick and efficient, I was in and out within 20 minutes. However, when I got home I realized that some of his nails weren't cut cleanly and there were some small pieces of hang nails left. It wasn't too bad though I simply went home and cut these smaller pieces off with a stronger nail clipper and he didn't even notice that they were there. Overall, I found this experience to be okay and will most likely try another groomer in the area since there are so many and the prices are all pretty comparable. read more

My experience was marvellous! I called and they said they could take my dog in within 20 mins of my call. They were fast and were accurate in how long it would take to groom my pet and they actually listened to how I wanted my pet to look. They did a great job of keeping my little white Maltese fluffy, cute and feminine. Sustaining her ears and tail and keeping her super white! Not only are they a great price but they also provided my dog with a report card and a little bow on the way out! We have a senior-aged Pomeranian and have had her groomed several times at Boo Boo with excellent results. Today, we had to take our pet to the vet because she was in extreme pain that had escalated since her grooming grooming appointment in the past week. After examination and x-rays, our pet has a badly-wrenched neck. Since we have never used a collar for walks (always a harness), he thought that the most probable cause was struggling during grooming. While we can't prove that the groomer injured our dog, when looking at her history, this was the second time in a row that we have had to take our pet for expensive medical treatment following a grooming at Boo Boo. So far the past two grooming appointments have cost us over $1000.00 in grooming and veterinarian bills to say nothing of the extreme pain our pet has endured as a result. Never again! read more

The place was tidy, the price competitive, and they realize that grooming should come in a package (no add on costs for every little thing)! I had previously taken my pug to Persmart for grooming however whenever I picked Chester up, he was always as nervous after the grooming as he was before. He's a happy go lucky dog, however spoiled, so I always worried about him. I have Booboo Pet Grooming a try, felt comfortable when I arrived, the owner greeted me, I felt at ease, and when I picked Chester up two hours later he was in great spirits. Relaxed and happy. This was a great grooming shop. They did an excellent job on our dogs. It took 4 hours to complete both dog, which was fine. One of our dogs was very matted so Boo Boo gave us a courtesy call letting us know that it was possible the dog might get nipped in the cut. We appreciated this honesty. First and last visit... I barely recognized my baby when I went to pick him up. He is a Schnoodle, he has the Poodle curly hair and the Schnauzer beard. I asked for a little cleanup around his eyes and forehead, don't touch his mouth and chin area and 1/8 inch off his body if that. I chose this place based on the 4.5 rating, what a big mistake. His excuse was the puppy's coat was matted, which was not true, I had brushed him the night before. And even if that was the case call me and let me make the decision. I wish I could upload photos. This place might be OK for your dogs grooming but I would highly advise against bringing your cat 2 boo boo pet salon. Knowing that my cat was a little nervous for grooming I called the salon to ensure that there was a separate room for cats only, away from the dogs. I was assured that there is a private room. Upon arrival I asked if I could stick around in case my cat got nervous. The groomer seemed to be in a rush to finish the day and did not seem to care to listen to any of my concerns. I was told i was not allowed to stay and left the shop. shortly after I received a call to come back to the shop to assist with my cat. When I arrived I found her cowering in the corner on the floor surrounded by a bunch of dogs. Hardly the private room and special attention given for cats that I was promised. On top of this the groomer trimmed my cat's whiskers. This is a big no no for kitties as whiskers are an essential part of their sensory mechanIsm. If you are looking for grooming for your feline friend, I would suggest another salon who pays more careful attention to the special requirements of cats. read more

Been here once and it was pretty good! We love how well they were able to translate what we wanted into the actual haircut for our pup! They are extremely friendly and we would have definitely returned if it wasn't so out of the way from where we live. Started coming here a couple of months ago. Today was my dog's second visit. I called and they took me in right away because of a cancellation which was great. They did a really good job on my bichon. We did full service grooming and they did exactly what I wanted. The place looks nice and clean compared to other groomers that I've been to in the etobicoke area. They also do a better job with the cut. Customer service is excellent and the price is very competitive with other groomers in the area. They really love dogs and it shows. I will definitely continue bringing my dog here. read more

These are the best groomers in the area and are very reasonably priced. You can tell that they are experienced, and that they genuinely care about the well-being of your pet. They manage expectations very well (unlike what other posters have said) and they let you know ahead of time if what you want is realistic or not. Even still, the one time we did not get what we wanted was because we had just got back from camping and our dog had some burrs matted in the hair. Fair enough! I would rather my dog be clean and comfortable anyways. BTW when we used to take our dog to the *other* groomers in the area,our dog would literally be shaking, terrified, when we walked into the store. When we realized how rough poorly-trained these other groomers were, we were horrified and started looking for alternatives. Ever since we have been going to Booboos. Now when we walk by the store our dog gets excited to see everyone and get pampered. The service can't be beat and as long as I have pets I will continue to take them here. read more

Our first time here today. My 12 month old Smooth Coat Collie has been shedding a ton lately. They did a great job brushing him out thoroughly and giving him a bath as well as trimming his nails.
