A massive selection of books at very reasonable prices. Shelves are double stacked which can make it a bit difficult to find what you're looking for unless it's a popular author. Honestly the search is part of the fun. As one of the only used book stores in town (unless you head into the city, no thanks), I will be coming here frequently. read more

This place is soooooo coooool. Being in a Christian family. I'm so excited to find this bible shop. They got toys for kids too. And so many vintage books. Nowadays, people rely on internet, but books are my favorite. Old school I guess. read more

Sometimes I feel like some of their prices are a bit high for used books. Amazon may be cheaper but sometimes I get a thrill of the rare find of 1970s cult warning books. The staff is always so friendly. You can trade in books for store credit or maybe a dollar. There are no computers in here and if you have store credit its written on an index card. I LOVE IT! I have been coming to this place for over 10 years. It's quaint, it has hard to find, cheap paperback, and maybe some VHS tapes. YOU HAVE TO SPEND AT LEAST $5 TO USED CHECK OR CREDIT! read more

You never know what you'll find so KEEP GOING BACK! I was going to this store back in my college days and now with kids almost out of high school, we still go there and find some very good gems. It's choked full of used classics, also has a lot of science fiction, self help, Bibles, history, philosophy, sports, celebrity, romance, coffee table books, and far more categories than I can include here. The store is still in it's original location after all these years(or decades!), but even expanded to more than double it's original size. You can even drop off books and they will give you store credit on those books they select. The staff is friendly and very courteous, too, so if you're a book lover and in the Glen Burnie area, make this one of your 'must go-to's' before 5pm. read more

If you're a book addict, you need this store! Floor to ceiling, wall to wall books in every topic. Not just fairly priced, in great shape, but well organized and sorted. The ladies who work here are exceptional! Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, they are the best. Want to lighten your book load? They will give you credit for your turn ins (based on need, author, condition etc) for your purchase. They have criteria on what they'll take, but if you are willing to part with it...... They have a fantastic collection of civil war and history books! Gotta see to believe! read more

I love this book store! The people are always so helpful and friendly. On a couple of different years, I wanted to give my granddaughter some books for Christmas. I made a phone call to the store, and the kind lady at the counter agreed to pull some books that she thought might interest my granddaughter. When I arrived at the store, they had selected some wonderful books for me as a reading gift. I took them all and it was a very inexpensive present. (So much better than toys or clothes, too!) Solid place. The first part of the store is dedicated to Bibles and Christian stuff. It's roomy in there and there's a lot of things besides books. But then you go into the second room and that's where it's a classic used book store. Good selection, and so it's a bit cramped. It is run by a lovely older couple who were busying themselves about maintaining things as best they could. I enjoyed my stay and got a good basket of books. It's just a pleasant, homey atmosphere in there, which is very important to me. It is one of the smaller used books stores I've been to, though. And not a large philosophy section when I was there, but the older gentleman knew precisely where it was and brought me right to it; wouldn't have found it otherwise. read more

This is a GEM near the gem that is Thai- Gour. In a strip mall lies 1 of 2 used book stores that I know of in Anne Arundel County. I have been going to this used book store for almost ten years now. I have traded in numerous books for store credit over the years. The staff is very kind and helpful. The book selection is random and there is a mix of new and old. I personally love the religion section. I have found some really great 1970's cult paperbacks. The store has an extensive sci-fi, romance, history, and Christian book selection. There are also language books, childrens books, classic, general fiction, cookbooks, and parenting books. I believe the credit card/ check minimum is five dollars. Not hard to rack up at a place like this. I believe on Wednesdays they stay open until 7pm. This place is awesome! It's fun to just browse through the random assortment! read more

I've been buying and selling with them for years. It is actually a pleasure to go there because unlike other second hand bookstores they have a ledger showing if they have a particular book rather than leading you to the subject area and say go look for yourself. read more

Not only do they have a good selection, but they have a heart as well. We've been going there for years but today when they found out I was buying Robert Heinlein books to donate through the Heinlein Society they cut a significant amount off the sales price for me. I went here on a whim from a friend who bought a lot of science fiction from the place. I probably bought a few books here or there, but I'm super choosy when it comes to a books condition. I don't want to pay half the MSRP on a book that's really old, smells like mold, or is falling apart. Sometimes I'd look at a books condition and think, "there's no way I would pay five bucks for this" and rarely did I ever feel like I was getting the better end of the deal. They have a varied collection but its so packed they have to be breaking some kind of fire code. Every once in awhile I drift in there but the last couple of times I left with nothing. They need a better arrangement....and maybe weed some unsellables. read more

I love Book Nook and shop there as often as I can. Their selection is immense, and the ladies who work there are friendly and helpful. The only reason I gave them a 4-star rating instead of 5 stars is that they have most of the shelves double-stacked, and it can be difficult (and a little dangerous sometimes) to get to the book you want. I find the prices fair, for the most part. The last time I was there, I asked why a particular reference book was so expensive, and the lady working that day cut the price in half! If you love books, you owe it to yourself to visit Book Nook! read more
