Five out of five stars! These guys are the best, they were prompt to shp my order, and after a couple days I noticed half of my order wasnt sent. I sent them an email and within the hour I get a personal phone call back from Aubrey, the sweetest, nicest, most genuine person, they explain the situation and just having a little hiccup, they go above and beyond and refund the 2nd half, and help me feel better about the mistake. I can't thank them enough but they have gotten a repeat customer. These people have my business and I hope the boss sees how amazing Aubrey is and how great she is at handling customers. First off, I love the energy of this place. BUT - Their service is very slow if you order anything or have it shipped to them or to you. The really ODD thing is if you look at who they hire... they all seem to fit a certain stereotype and that's a little concerning. Let's just say it seems the owner has a type. I've heard some other weird rumors about the owner from previous employees that make me want to stay away and go to Games and Stuff instead. read more

Updated review--I went back to Third Eye music and had an AWESOME time. Amy immediately greeted us and explained how the store works, showed us current promotions and made us feel so welcomed. She was helpful every step of the way, offering to check stock, sizes, and grab anything we were interested in. This level of customer service is so rare and valuable, and it was consistent in each store (comics/games) that we visited. Amy was so fun to talk to, we really appreciated the experience. You can tell this business is truly run out of passion with the attention to detail and care they put into it. Overpriced scalper prices and garbage selection. Extremely slow shipping as well. Only made an order cause I had a coupon. Also has a scumbag store owner and worthless customer service. I ordered a preorder two weeks ago and was just sent now. All my preorders from other stores with this product arrived more than a week before. Bottom Line: Wow! Friendly service in another dimension selling comics, games and much more. I went to Third Eye Comics to look for puzzles and I was totally blown away by this store! My immediate impressions were how friendly and helpful the staff were and the sheer size of this store. Actually, it is really two stores full of comic books of course, games, masks, dice, records and various other items. Not knowing anything about comics I felt a little out of place but all of the staff made me feel so welcome. Originally I went to the store with comics and then I went down a few doors to the store with games and other items. Both places the staff was very friendly and I even got a little tour of the game store. Everyone at these stores seemed to be so enthusiastic about the hobby and just having a good time shopping. I am going to give these guys a 1 star rating - simply because of their irresponsible use of mailing lists! when you order you get an email asking if you want to sign up - then click a link. if you don't click the link you shouldn't be signed up, but guess what: YOU ARE! and you get upwards of 10 emails a day. By noon today I had already received 5. Just because I bought something from them doesn't mean I want to be inundated with junk emails - I have no interest in anything in any of those emails and the unsubscribe link in the email takes you to a page that just says "whoops - something didn't work". My grandson received an expensive book for his birthday, but already had it. Plus he received a gift card from the store, so I drove him so he could shop. It was my first time ever being in the store; I had last gone to a different location so I was very impressed with this place! It's quite large and arranged well. The person who waited on us was friendly and helpful. They issued the refund for the book as a store credit, which was added to his gift card. He was a happy boy with so much to spend! Turned out, he only found one comic to buy, as he's reading a series and has to wait for the next one. However, we walked 3 doors down to the Third Eye Games store and he managed to spend most of what he had left. It is also arranged well and back when I played D&D, I would have had a hard time choosing from the huge array for figures for painting. He got a nice dragon and also chose a new video game for his playstation. I will happily take him again, even though it's a bit of a drive. The whole experience was just so pleasant! read more

Impressed! I am really impressed with this comic store. I can't say that I have much to compare to as I am not a heavy comic reader. Side note: I'm willing to take any recommendations!! My interests are apocalyptic, zombie, slasher, & animals. Not too interested in super heros. The store had a signing today- X Lives of Wolverine with Ben Percy, so it was busy in there. The isles are tight given the signing but I still had a good time browsing around at what they had to offer. Our main goal was to look over at all the graphic novels for my daughter and then look around at the rest. We ended up getting a novel for her called Katie the Catsitter. They have a better selection than any other stores, which made me happy! Lot of kids in the store too! SO AWESOME! We made sure to remember some of the other books that we plan to pick up next time. As I made my way to the comic section, the whole left side of the store was all comics. They are in alphabetical order and there is ALOT! I really wanted to pick up a few just to see if I'd like it, but became overwhelmed. I'd hate to start a comic which it's not the first issue. Am I wrong for that? Anyway I didn't get any comics. If I had more time, I will definitely dig into them more. The staff was super friendly. The check out was speedy. If you have the time and you are in this store, then you should definitely go next door to check out the Third Eye Game and Hobbies store as well. We will go back for sure! read more

One of the first things my husband does when visiting a new city is Yelp all of the local comic book shops near by. I'm not a comic book person myself but as his eternal plus one, I've been around the comic book shop block. I had heard about Third Eye Comics through their sponsorship of Awesomecon over the past few years but I was not prepared by how massive this comic book warehouse (store is an understatement!) is. As soon as we walked through the door, our jaws dropped. This was Comic Book Mecca. We were greeted right away by a sales person who gave us a quick lay of the land and left us to explore. All of the sales people that we met that afternoon were so friendly and didn't even bat an eye as my one year old tried to crawl out of my arms and touch everything (I don't blame her, this place is awesome!). There's Japanese candy, kawaii plush dolls of every size, color...food...monster..., Hello Kitty board books, and just everything. We had a lot of fun browsing around. I love how inclusive and friendly the store is and saw people of every race, gender and age milling about. They are even wheelchair friendly! Tons of space to go through all the aisles and they even have a ramp. This place is truly a special gem. read more

Chris assisted me and was not only incredibly friendly but also super knowledgeable about music across a range of genres. I love the record store and the selection is great, however I do take issue with the behavior of one of the associates, the girl with pink hair (I believe Amy is her name). I've come in quite a few times and noticed every single time her attention going straight toward male customers and alienating any female customers. In fact she hovers quite closely to my partner in particular, and acts like I'm not even there. I've once called the store and she answered very friendly, but when she heard my voice (heard that I'm a woman), her tone changed completely. This is all so off-putting, which is a shame because I enjoy third eye a lot. read more

THE BEST COMIC BOOK SHOP IN THE WORLD! My husband and I drive about an hour and a half to two hours one way just for this store. The shop staff is absolutely fantastic, every single one of them. No matter what time a day or how busy they are.. you can bet when you walk through the doors at least one person will greet you and ask you if you need any help. Every time I walk through the doors, the atmosphere just blows you away. They always stay up to date and current on all new comics. I have never had any issue finding anything at all. They have an outstanding selection of comics and action figures as well. Don't even get me started on their wall of pops. As an avid pop collector, I find myself always leaving this store with at least one. This store also hosts frequent events to let you meet your favorite comic writes and illustrators. More recently we went to an event here and met Tom King. They ran the event flawlessly and provided free coffee, doughnuts and even pizza to every single person in the crowd! My husband and I love this shop so much we even had our engagement portraits shot right there in the store. If you're in the area, you have to check this store out! This place is a Funko POP Mecca! Of course, the Funko Pops aren't really my thing, but you cannot help but acknowledge this shop's commitment to the cute little bobble heads ---To state that it is impressive is an epic understatement. No what brought me into Third Eye Comics was the rumor that they had increased their selection of silver age comic books. I have to admit that at first I had my doubts, but within minutes of entering the shop, a member of their friendly staff ushered me to a pristine comic bin filled with early Fantastic Four issues. I was at once impressed with quality and quality of Third Eye's selection and quickly settled on a much needed #34 and #85 for my FF collection. I scored both books for a grand total of just $40, and considering the excellent condition of each comic book, this was a great deal. Yes, Third Eye Comics is a comic book shop touchstone of excellence, an oasis of all things fanboy. I love this place and can't wait to visit again. It is a shop that conjures up images of some of my favorite comic book superheroes, a place where I hear the faint Fantastic Four echo of "Flame on!" and "It's Clobbering Time!" When I went with my group of friends, I was really only into Manga and Anime and didn't know a lot about the American side of comics. Well, I ended up walking out with Ms. Marvel, Lady Killer, and Bravest Warriors. MIND BLOWN. Every time you come in, you are greeted and asked immediately if you need help looking for something. And it's not in that way that they're trying to sell you things, but in the way they genuinely want you to find what you're looking for and offer any words of advice if they can give it. They have SO MUCH STUFF in this store. Single issues, trades, huge collections, games, t-shirts, sweaters, figurines, plushies, etc. You could literally spend hours and hours in here and just keep finding new things. I LOVE THIRD EYE COMICS!!! The staff is beyond nice! Like they're nicer than chick-fil-a employees and it's genuine. I travel from Baltimore just to buy collectibles from this place. I told one of the employees that he had really pretty eyes and he clearly isn't gay but was so flattered by my compliment he even gave me a hug lol. Enough of my personal experience though, Third eye have specially imported items from Japan and if they don't have it they will try to get it. Also, all of the events that they host are fun, so make sure you sign up for the emailing list so that way you can stay posted on everything. Free comic book day is always a good time to swing by. I don't think you could ask for anything more in a comic book/card shop. The store had so much to offer and such a cool vibe to it before they moved and now it is even bigger and better. I don't think the pictures even do it justice and you definitely need to go check the new location out! The new location, same as the old, still has two separate stores. Although the new spots are awesome, I wish they could have found stores that were connected in someway and you didn't have to walk outside from one to get to the other. First world problems though...I suppose. Both new stores are big and so neatly organized. One is for mostly buying comic books, trinkets, plush, blindbags, t-shirts...you name it! The other is all for buying Pokémon, Magic, etc. cards and all the accessories you need for playing battle card games. They have playing mats, card protectors, binders and also a great selection of boardgames too. In the card shop they have numerous long tables set up where people can gather to play battles against one another. My son was super excited to see all the nice Mario Plush. I also really liked the addition of the "Kid's Corner"...a section with books and comics geared just for kids and because I have a young son this was really great for me to see! We are pretty much only into Pokémon and Mario so I can't really comment on the details of all the store has to offer but it seems like they would have something for everyone!
