This is one of my nieces favorite places and I'm always excited to take her. With many options (books, collectibles, toys, games, etc.) and some good promotions to stumble across. You can stop in to find one of your sought after authors or take time and just browse to find a new favorite. Stopped into Books A Million while waiting to meet with a friend for lunch in the Area. Book A Million reminded me a Barnes & Nobles which is a popular book store in California which is where I'm from; not sure if that's a think in Florida or not. He hanged out in the coffee shop area for a bit after ordering some drinks, and instantly noticed the Harry Potter themed drinks they highlighted. My girlfriend and I just got regular iced coffee drinks, while our oldest son with us got one of the chocolate themed HP drinks. read more

Found what I was looking for except some first editions of some manga. The cashier said a script about encouraging me to buy a book for the local public school, but they were just asking me to buy it and not offering a matching program which made me feel icky about the situation. Big corporations like this business can afford it! I'll be donating to my friend who is a teacher instead of giving this business a tax write off. read more

I love coming to this store. It's clean, organized and the staff is always friendly, professional and helpful. Luis helped us out today finding a book we couldn't seem to find, he was a great help. They have books, mangas, funkos, journals, reading accessories (pens, book markers, reading lights,etc), they also have coffee mugs, Disney loungefly backpacks and many more cute things. The store has a variety of items for all ages and all interests. There is also a coffee shop inside the store. Definitely one of my favorite places to visit. read more

When I had my daughter 6 months ago, BAM became my go too place to get out of the house with her. We stroll around the store and either get a book or a cute little trinket. We always stop by the coffee shop inside. When we were there today Forest made me their favorite drink that was their spin on one of their drinks on the menu. It was delicious! It's been a long time since I've been in this location but we had time to kill and a bookstore can be dangerous for all of us. Personally I only got one item but I found so many really good things. We always start out front where they have their clearance racks and there were a lot of items worth inspecting on this occasion. Once inside if you're not there for a specific item you really can't help but wander through the entire store to see all the things that they have available in addition to books. I can always find the books I'm looking for and I was thrilled to see a section near the front that said banned books. I was surprised by some of the ones in that section. I also wanted to buy every one of them. They have a wonderful selection of items for younger children as well as teens. They have a good selection of gaming items and I always love the assorted pop culture merchandise that they have available. I found some really cool backpacks and one entire section of just Godzilla items. Obviously if you're looking for a good deal on books this can be a great store to shop in but don't forget all the other wonderful things they have. I went to this store because I searched used books. And this was close to my location. I didn't find any used books. Store was nice and I have nothing bad to say about it, it just didn't have what I was looking for. Also not/ nothing really for computer programming all the really had that I found was a business section but nothing and a small study guilds section. read more

The experience was decent until we got to the cashier. We've visited this store countless of times, but recently they started getting aggressive and pushing for you to get a membership when you try to check out. The cashiers are friendly and bubbly until they offer you the membership and you deny it. They're pushy, rude. I feel like I'm talking to a car salesman. They don't take "no" for an answer and once you tell them that you're only buying what you have with you, they deadpan you and treat you dryley. This is supposed to be a bookstore, a place to chill, read, and these people are high pressuring you to get a membership. (A thing you have to pay for! For the occasional book I get here? No thanks! Take the hint and leave me alone.) I prefer going to Coliseum of Comics at Millenia where they treat you amazing and don't push anything when you're cashing out. Support the smaller companies! They have way more comics and graphic novels than B.A.M. anyways! read more

We came in not paying attention to this not being a Barnes and Noble. We were just walking down the line of stores and I think assumed it was. My wife was looking for a particular LGBTQ book. She must have walked the entire store perplexed as to why there wasn't a section for that. That's when I realized where we were. A serious question here, in today's day in age, why doesn't Book-A-Million have a LGBTQ section? Not finding the section, she asked for help. Nope, didn't have it, but could be ordered online. I give 3 stars because I do enjoy Funko Pop collecting. I like going through and finding a cool new one. This day, I found one from one of my favorite games on clearance. When I got to the register, it was even cheaper! It was half off the already half off! Score! read more

An incredible book store that is well organized with a large variety of books from all different genres, plus some of the categories are super fun and useful, like: Read before you stream; the book is better than the movie; and more! Plus, when I went for the first time there was SO MUCH on sale! Most of the children's literature was buy 2 get the 3rd free, along with a lot of the adult books as well. Paperback classics were 3 for $10 and hardcover classics were $5. Plus lots of bargains with marked down books. I bought 6 books for $22! Plus, you can join their membership for $25/year and get an additional 10% off of everything, along with bonus discounts. For example, some books were 20% off, but it was 50% off for members. Plus they sent me an email with well over $100 of coupons that don't expire for the entire year (things like $5 off of $25, $25 off of $100, 20% off of one book, 20% off of a game or toy, etc. You also get free shipping off of the website, so if you love buying books, it'll pay for itself pretty quickly There's also a coffee shop inside, so I see myself handing out there quite a bit! read more

I had a great checkout experience today. I found a special edition of one of my favorite books from the 50% off table at the front of the store. This copy was also signed by the author which made it extra special, and because it was on the table with other copies of the same book that had the 50% sticker and was on the 50% table, I assumed it was part of the sale. When I got to the checkout, it didn't come up as on sale because of the author's autograph. When I explained that it wasn't clear because it was on the same table, there were other copies, etc. and said I couldn't afford it at regular price, the manager came over and gave it to me at half price anyway! It was so kind of him and he didn't make it a big deal, just kindness and understanding. My partner and I got a membership to this place and I can't wait to come back and use it in the future! I like books. I like the smell of new books. I especially like $1 books like there were outside of the store. They had several racks of $1, $3, and $5 books but really I found $1, $2, $3, $3.97 books on those racks. You'd think I would have to will power to stop there...but no, I went in to look around and ended up spending about 45 minutes just looking at books. It was so wonderful. The info desk helped me look up a book and the girl assisting me even took me to several locations that I could find said book...Not there. So she ordered it and ensured me that if I decided not to get it there was no obligation. It's a book that just came out, Shakespeare Undead and I was interested in checking that out. When my friend and I finally checked out, after picking up another book, it was a quick process. Same girl that helped me earlier checked me out. She did her thing, asked if I wanted to join the "club" for only $20 and get 10% off. I would have saved $3...I said no because I never join anything that I have to pay a membership for (except LA Fitness) and I ended up walking away with about 10 books...for 30something bucks. (it's because of the dollar books I found) I did get one paperback for normal price. The staff there is so helpful and the books were laid out so nice and neat on every table/display/end cap. Seriously it's a great fun bookstore...I almost bought some books that were on the "back-to-school" table! I do enjoy the set up of the aisles with everything labeled on the shelves plus from a hanging sign above the area. Now if only the membership fee would just go away.... read more

205/100 in 2016 challenge A bookstore in my opinion should be just that, a bookstore. Maybe sell coffee, I can deal with that. This store is not what I would call a bookstore. They sell pillows, stuffed animals, toys, figurines, trading cards, etc. etc. etc. The Joe Muggs is pretty good. The store itself is large. Very, very cluttered though. Bathrooms are not very clean and maintained. Magazines always seems picked through. Never seem to have what I am looking for in stock. Unless you are looking for something current it is very hit or miss. Never sign up for their rewards card unless you plan on using it a lot. It's hard not to though, the way they almost board line on harassing you upon checkout to purchase it. I actually got it only to cancel to cancel it so they would finally check me out. Also, not the most friendly of employees. Not rude but not personal either and there is never enough employees available to help. read more

Books A Million is a great bookstore for just about anyone. The Joe Muggs coffee they serve is quite good as well. My only complaint is that they don't carry a large variety of IT computer software and programming language books. But they do offer a lot of other things. Here's a few things off the top of my head they carry. Children's educational books, activities, crafts, coloring and paint books, gift sets Journals, bible covers, moleskins Fiction, non fiction novels and books. Cookbooks, magazines and publications. Arts and crafts Munny Vinyl character toys Book Marks, papercrafts, note cards, key chains and other trinket items. The prices are comparable to other book stores. During peak times and Christmas lines are long be prepared to wait. All in all this is a convenient book store for me with competitive prices and a variety of books and gifts. read more

Books-A-Million? More like A-Million-Things-But-Books! From the moment you walk into the store you see toys, knick-knacks, gifts, souvenirs, everything mixed in with books. It's very confusing, for sure. Then, as you start walking through the isles to find the book you're looking for you begin to realize they don't have in stock, so you go ask someone to help you find it. They take you to the register and they look it up and reply with "we don't have it in stock, but you can get it online". You reply "no thank you" and continue exploring. You make your way over to the coffee shop where they offer mediocre coffee for not so inexpensive prices (unless you have their club card). You continue looking, you see more toys, more knick-knacks, and oh, a couple more books. You try to find another book and they don't have it, unless... You guessed it you order it online. Now, you've given up and leave the store with no book, an eh coffee, and just a not-so-good experience. Overall, BAM is convenient, if you need to find a book you want to read that day (if they have it in stock). However, they're always out of stock from most books, they always harass you to sign up for the club card, they are not very friendly, the books they offer are either SUPER popular titles or very politically conservative. It's better to just take the extra drive and find another bookstore (or order it online). read more

I always feel guilty when I walk into a bookstore, because I haven't read a proper book in a very long time. Comics, sure, but books, not really. However, there's plenty to choose from here if you're not necessarily looking for a book. Some complain that there's many knick knacks and non-book merchandise, but they are looking at this wrong. In today's world, when you can order any book from Amazon at a cheaper price than any major bookstore including Barnes and Noble, why would a bookstore need to exist? Consider Books-a-Million (BAM) instead as a one-stop gifting center that caters to the purists (book readers), to the young (toys), to the popular (Pop! figures, Walking Dead, Avengers), to the anime fans (manga and anime merch), to the writers (fancy diaries, notebooks), to the whimsical (hedgehog dryer balls, wacky pens), to the homesick (beautiful, elaborate postcards), to the gamers (modern boardgames) to those seeking solace (coffee shop and chairs to sit and read), etc. By the way, their inside coffee shop, Joe Muggs, makes fantastic iced coffees. I can't vouch for their hot java, but iced delectable concoctions such as Millionaire's Mocha (with white chocolate) put Dunkin' Donuts chocolate attempts of Oreos and Java Chip to shame. They also sell Walkers Shortbread cookies and Stroopwafel! Bookstores seem to be on a race to extinction, because practically everyone can download a book from the comfort of their living room, but I'm glad BAM is doing its best, branching out and attracting the curious while retaining a healthy collection of books. I raise my cup of iced coffee to them, and wish them good health in today's blogging and e-shopping world, full of online trolls and fewer kids reading about actual, fantasy trolls. read more

It's too crowded! Everything is mashed up together and it messes with my mind. Someone needs to come in and clear out the clutter, and feng shui the place. I'm not really inclined to look at books because of the cramped nature of everything. I was looking for the childrens' reading section but then realized I confused it with another book store. I had to go up front to the information booth to ask for help. I did receive awesome service from the staff person, however I think they were understaffed when I visited. I did get a couple of good deals on books here, but honestly for an in person experience, I think I'll pass. It's just all too much. read more

Im going to start off by saying shame on you guys and girls for keeping such a nasty filthy dirty restroom!! I can only imagibe what your bathrooms look like at home! I'm highly disappointed that every time I go to your store for coffee and to read and I need to use your restroom as soon as I walk in either restroons I see crap stains on the toilet seat, toilet paper on the floor and hanging out of the toilet and waste paper basket! Not to mention I have walked into the restrooms where the walls are full of crap! One of your girls last night told me that you all allow the flow from other stores to use your restrooms as well you all should keep the use of your restrooms for customers only and keep the key at the front register for customers only!!! I've brought this situation up many times during my visit to your bookstore during reading and coffee and it seems as if No One cares. I had 4 books to purchase yesterday and I walked out and didn't purchase because I had to leave in a hurry to drive home to use my own restroom now that's ridiculous!!! The only reason I go here is for the convenience of its location. When you walk in you are punched in the face from all directions with anti-liberal propaganda. If you want to push a conservative agenda do it on your own time. It's not smart to alienate your customers and make them feel unwelcome and offended. These hate filled books and Bibles are the only books they ever seem to have in stock. Oh wait! If you can manage to push your way through all of the junk cluttering the aisles and shelves, you may be able to find a few best sellers. Also the employees are forced to reach a quota of membership cards and magazine subscriptions every day. They are under so much pressure they will flat out lie to you and try everything in their power to get you to enroll. It's intimidating and annoying. Sometimes I do get lucky and find a book I want. I love wandering a book store and looking at all the options available! But books have gone by the way side here which is understandable since the ebook has become popular. This store seems as though it's slowly transitioning into a novelty store and that's ok too. They are selling funko pops, t shirts, board games, pool floats and toys. If you're looking for a unique gift I would recommend coming here, you'll never know what you'll walk out with. The prices are relatively the same as you would find online. Between the homeless person using the bathroom as their own personal shower, nothing being organized in the aisles, everything being a mess, and people just sitting in the middle of the aisles reading this place was just disappointing. Very bad experience. Cashier wasn't professional and did not acknowledge customers. Was to busy chatty with younger crowd. Of course after I had to tell her to call for backup help because her customer kept going to her car 3 times (not once did cashier apologize nor acknowledge me) As I am leaving cashier makes comment of me. Yes I did turn back and told her how rude and unprofessional she was. This can have been avoided and wouldn't have escalated had I had the proper customer service by Thainalee.
