Plan to come by with either having a good book or buying a good book and have a coffee or tea and sit and enjoy the beautiful ambience. From the front it looks tiny, but it's huge.!! if you have books to trade in, bring those two. Good value for trade-in and you get credit towards any books you buy.

When I first walked in I wasn't even sure where to begin but it was great to be able to browse and see their extensive collection. Staff is very friendly and let us know that they curate their books from donations. If you donate your books to them, they create an account where you can have a credit on file to use. As someone, that occasionally does donate books, this is fantastic news! Additionally, all of their books unless otherwise stated are half off the cover value which is incredible and affordable! They definitely had something for everyone there. I look forward to visiting them again, hopefully with some books to give them!

5 Stars for an independent local bookstore that delivers on great selections, staff recs, banned…read morebooks, and miscellaneous goodies. I was excited to stumble upon Writer's Block, a bookstore I've heard about for years, while visiting the Winter Garden Farmer's Market. The windows beckoned me in and I immediately saw a bestseller that had been recommended to me recently, so I was stoked to spend my money locally. I also perused their stickers, pens, and other fun local goodies while wandering. There's a robust kids section in the back, so be sure to keep walking! I appreciated the many hand-written staff recommendations and teasers for books on the shelf, and also the entire section on banned books that described the reason for the banning. Love a store taking a stance for banned books! Overall, I plan to continue supporting independent bookstores instead of the massive, bloated, unethical, late-stage capitalist hellscape that is Amazon. Hope others are tempted to walk in and enjoy the rare little bookshop the way I was when walking around downtown Winter Garden!

The staff was really nice. We purchased some cute book related art that could easily be framed; they will be nice decoration for a home library or classroom.
