This was a new location for us to stop in. We were up in the area for an appointment and doing another shopping and we had some time. I am a fan of pretty much any comic book Shop. We have good luck with this chain of them. This was a really good location with good space in it And room for gaming tables in the back. They've got all the usual selection of new comic books along with a wide selection of back issues. They carry games and gaming supplies along with Funko and variety of other collectible type items. We weren't actually looking to make a purchase, but I did find, a handful of back issues that interested me as well as some other cool items. The employees we encountered were all friendly and helpful and the checkout service was quick and efficient. If you shop with any regularity, you probably want to sign up for their reward program. it's been upgraded from the punchcards to a digital system that you can access through the app as well. They have competitive pricing on back issues, which makes things worth shopping for. If you are local and a collector, then you probably want to check out their warehouse sales at the Orlando warehouse they have. read more

Came here to play some Magic The Gathering with some friends and I loved it here. They had comics all over the walls from all different properties and eras. It was basically a nerd's dream. They had tables set up in the back for us to play on and it was a great vibe. All the employees were super chill. By the end of the night, they even handed out some MTG cards for us to add to our decks as a thank you for coming in and playing here. They had drinks behind the counter you could buy as well, which was nice because it was getting a bit hot inside. There's also food places right near by. This specific location is located in a dying mall, so I'm not quite sure how much longer it's going to be around. But I hope they don't go away for good, because it really does seem like a fun place to hang around. read more

2017's Yelp 100 Challenge 54/100 The comic books, busts, and general geek stuff was pretty cool, but the selection was lacking. This review is mostly about the way my boyfriend and I were treated while visiting this establishment. While perusing the pop figures and having discussions about which fluxx games we have and didn't have, we were constantly followed by a dark haired gentleman. Standing in front of the batsman busy? He's a foot away. Discussing the doctor who pop figures I was missing from my collection? He was staring at a Spider-Man one not two feet away. Discussing magic cards and other table games? He almost bumped into me. I'm sure in the neighborhood the comic store is in you probably have to worry about theft and people attempting to make a run for it, but the only reason we didn't buy anything and left relatively quickly was the fact that we felt like we were being singled out. There were about 6 other customers in the store: 3 being helped, another 3 wandering around. Yet we were the ones being closely monitored? Won't be going back ever again. read more

4 stars for a solid comic book shop. Anytime that my wife and I stop in at Fashion Square Mall, we almost always stop by Coliseum of Comics. Located right by the Dillard's, Coliseum of Comics is a Florida-based comic book chain that offers huge comic inventories and lots of fun comic book-related items for pretty good prices. On our most recent visit, we were looking for a fun white elephant gift. While other comic book stores we have visited for party gifts have either been awkward or too pushy with the sales pitch, this venue generally strikes the right balance. One of the employees came over to help us look for an item based on our desired price range and desired item type. While he did briefly have us try out a more expensive item (the $100 Thanos glove), he only did so after I mentioned the concept and was totally fine with having us try it out despite saying we were looking for a lower-priced item. His genuine interest in having fun with us with the item appeared to be more of a factor than making the sale. Whether or not that was actually genuine, he did a great job with the presentation and definitely had me convinced (which is all you can ask for as a consumer in these type of situations). After looking around a little longer, we decided to go with a Deadpool cardboard cutout. This fun item was only $40, which isn't a bad deal for a large and official looking item. The employee had the cashier ring us up, give us care instructions (i.e. careful with a particular sensitive corner), and gave us directions on how a refund/exchange would work if the recipient didn't like it. All of this information was given in a very pleasant yet matter of fact manner, which made us very happy customers. Overall, the Fashion Square Coliseum of Comics provides a solid comic book store experience. While I don't know if the store was mindblowing to the point of getting a 5 stars, the solid and well-priced merchandise combined with the excellent customer service makes the a place anyone should check out should they have comic book-item related buying needs. read more

This a fantastic Comic shop! It is bright and welcoming. They have a large inventory of comics and, more importantly the comics are organized wonderfully. The staff is friendly. They have tons of $0.50 back issues so if you're thinking of starting a new series or you're a parent with kids looking to read adventurous stories, this is a great place to come. They also have nicely appointed gaming space for Warhammer, D&D, or other games. They also carry Warhammer figures and Citadel paints, brushes, painting handles and more. This is one of multiple Coliseum of Comics stores in the area and I would whole heartedly recommend them all! read more

This location of Coliseum of Comics is great. It's convenient to the Orlando area and easy to get in and out of without going through the entire mall (if you don't want to visit the rest of the mall). The employees and owner are all super nice and very knowledgeable. They greet you when you walk in, ask if you need help, but let you pursue the store on your own as well. You don't need to be a die hard comic fan to shop here, they are open and great to everyone, no snobbery here. They have events throughout the year, supporting local charities and artists, and bringing comics to the community. I really appreciate this! read more

This was the first comic book shop I ever went to. I moved to Orlando in 2011, was riddled with depression, and decided to go to the mall. In the empty mall was this shop and I decided to read Kick Ass. Thats where it all started. Their selection in comics is huge. From new issues, graphic novels, to crappy stuff from the 80's. They also have a bunch of toys, posters, etc. The employees there are very much to themselves, never really striking a conversation with anybody. I haven't been to the shop since last May. But this May when I visit Orlando I'll be sure to stop by. read more

This store is right at home in Fashion Square Mall. It's a good size and doesn't feel cramped like other comic book stores. I can walk around without feeling like I'm going to bump into something I can't afford to replace. Speaking of which, they've got a lot of nice collectibles. Again, the staff are always friendly and willing to order what you may not find already in the store. This is an unbelievable comic book store inside the Fashion Square Mall in East Colonial Drive. It is stunning. They have so many classic posters, classic comics, t-shirts, back issues of comics, new comics, action figures, and so many other comic related things to buy. They have life sized statues of comic book characters when you walk in and then you expierence some of the friendliest staff you will ever get to know coupled with some comic cartoons running on the TVs, comic movies, or previews for future comic movies I highly recommend this store for any comic fan or if you're just a fan of joy in general. read more

Inconveniently located in what is probably Orlando's most deserted mall, sits this bright little comic book store. Even though it's called COLISEUM of Comics, the store itself is pretty small, but very colorful and welcoming. There's a decent comic book selection and they're pretty well organized and neat so specific issues were easy to find. I really enjoyed their posters and prints and was tempted to buy some until I remembered that I have zero room to display them. There's a small gaming section in the back corner if that's what you're into and DnD is your forte, but as far as paraphernalia goes, they're pretty limited. Most of their figures and collectables were concentrated towards the front of the store, I'm assuming as to attract more customers. However, the staff was very friendly and, thankfully, they seemed very knowledgable on comic books. They also hold events there pretty often, which I'd probably be more interested in if I actually planned on being in the area more often. My bf and I stopped by purely to kill time and we ended up leaving with a few issues in hand (trying to educate him on Civil War before the movie comes out). I even got a free Avengers magazine! Not that big of a deal but I like free stuff. read more

If you live near the Fashion Square Mall, Coliseum of Comics is your best bet if you're a comic book fan. It's tucked away on the ground level underneath the food court, but the store itself is pretty large compared to other stores in the mall. The store is jam packed with stuff. Of course they have sections for the newest issues, helpfully sorted out from DC, Marvel, and independent, and there are many shelves filled with boxes and boxes of back issues. Looking for that issue of Spider-Man that you remember from 5th grade? They've probably got it. And with the newer comics, the staffed places "Jumping on point" cards beneath issues that are a good place for newcomers to dive in. If you're into collectibles, CoC has oodles of toys, posters, games, and cardboard cut outs. Even if you're not a comic book fan, this is a good place to find a gift for the comic book fan in your life. read more

Found this place on the lower level as they moved from the food court after the bowling was added. Same place as before, decent sized store, they had gamers and comics and figurines, and toys. Not the greatest store like Acme comics in Longwood. I kinda liked looking on the wall at the comics, I saw a lot of my comics for forty bucks each so that was cool. read more

This was by far the worst experience I've ever had in a comic book store. I'd been looking forward to a graphic novel coming out but it had been delayed by almost a year. The day it finally came out I happened to be on vacation in Orlando and this was the nearest store to where I was staying. I drove over and entered a dimly-lit and oddly quiet store considering it was Wednesday: the joyous day when new comics are released. There were a few guys silently shuffling through a bin of discount comics with zero expressions on their faces; almost like zombies. After what I experienced I realized they're probably the only kind of customers who feel comfortable in such an awful store. I thankfully found my graphic novel quickly and made a beeline for the counter. There was no line because, again, the only other customers were discount bin zombie boys. I put it on the counter in front of a clerk who looked downright OFFENDED that I dared to buy anything. Thinking I'd maybe made some faux pas by not mindlessly shuffling through a discount bin I politely said "Just this, please." With a look on his face like I'd been dipped in pig stool an moment earlier the clerk told me the total. I handed him my card and said "I've been looking forward to this for so long and I'm so glad I'm finally getting it!" Got my card and a receipt and that was it. No thank you. Since then I have seen the social media for these awful stores actively ignore any title that isn't created by or starring a straight white male. I sincerely hope this awful store goes out of business soon. read more

Very nice store! I usually got to the location in Millenia, but I was on this side of town so I stopped by to check it out. Staff were very friendly and greeted me and my brother at the door. Being a girl I usually get blown off as soon as I walk in to any comic or hobby shop and they will always talk to whomever I'm with (usually a dude). Not only did they answer all of my questions they even made some suggestions on other comics that I might like based off what I was getting. They knew what they were talking about and were actually excited to find out I knew what I was talking about. Nice to not get ignored for a change!! As for the selection they had almost everything I was looking for. For what they didn't have they were more than willing to call other locations and see if they has those issues. I am a huge Marvel fangirl and they had a bigger selection (or so it seemed) than the store in Millenia. Very excited to go back would HIGHLY recommend! read more

They've got a subscription service for free, and they've got a ton of extras that all nerds will love -- posters, statues, figurines, etc. read more

While people might rave about the selection available at this comic store, it's really mostly Marvel and DC with a few Indie mixed in. Their selection of back issues is fairly lame and consist of mostly CCA approved stuff from the 90s (Which were some of the most awful comics in existence). It is probably the best selection in THIS area so if you live nearby it's great, but only because it's the only choice. Personally I'd rather do my shopping online and avoid the guy behind the counter with the elitist attitude. read more

They don't treat you like you're bothering them, even when they are probably having their 40th discussion of the day about the new issue of Green Lantern. This place and employees are awful. Do not attempt to contact them they will make excuses for not accommodating customers. They will not give full information on the pokemon website detailing with their tournaments. Calling before the open time for early tournaments will not be answered. Please, save your time, gas, and money. The product at Walmart is cheaper with better customer service. read more

I was told before from this store, and neighboring comic shops they only raise the prices after it's been shelved for about a month.
