Additionally, he charged me well over a thousand dollars to deal with this IRS clerical issue, yet never solved it. When I confronted him about this, he tried to blame it on me. Rubian, I hired you to help with a problem that I am not qualified to solve. YOU were the one who was supposed to know how to fix it, so don't blame me if I can't figure out how to do YOUR job. So i fired Rubian's ugly bald head and hired a new accountant. The new accountant solved the problem in a matter of hours and charged me a fraction of what Rubian had charged to not even solve the problem. I came on Yelp today specifically to give this review of Rubian (even though we worked together years ago). The guy's inept and rude.

Upon driving up you can't help but notice that their building is HUGE! It's as big as a Costco! Tons of trailers were docked getting filled up by the many volunteers. They even had a Amazon trailer at the loading/unloading dock. There were approximately 30+ volunteers. We all gathered at the picnic tables inside the warehouse. Coffee, Tea, and snacks were provided - nice touch. We all worked together to load many boxes of food that were sent on a rolling conveyor belt with volunteers all along it. I was a team of 2 that stacked the boxes on multiple pallets before a forklift driver whisked them away. It was so awesome to be apart of. If you ever have a chance to volunteer please do so.

I was looking for a baby kitten, and thankfully I found exactly the little cat I was hoping for. The adoption process was easy and smooth, and you can really tell how much the staff cares about the animals. The cats are very well treated, and the conditions they are kept in are excellent. Once I was married & we had complicated things to add, we made sure to go to Viet. I used to get to make an appointment with him in person & he answered any & all of my questions, before I filed. But sadly COVID hit & things changed to online. My husband & I have changed careers several times since 2022, & we had a baby, so there are several things to add into your taxes. This year, we spent over $15k in medical expenses, had our first child, & hoped we would get some kind of a tax refund. But unfortunately that didn't happen. When I asked about adding money to our IRAs, or why we didn't get to file itemized, or how else we can reduce our tax bracket, we were told it was a "paid question that required a paid appointment". Anyway, I think you can get your own taxes done for free or less than you're charged by this guy. He can't help you with basic questions without requiring money so... stay aware & ask questions!

Currently, I am attending USF for my Master's in Nonprofit Administration, so I have had the opportunity to research and study many nonprofits around the world. I have worked at Junior Achievement for about a year, and I have had the opportunity to volunteer in every grade level Kindergarten-12th. I was a bit nervous about teaching 20 second graders for an entire day, but have also always…read morethought how teaching sounds kinda fun so I thought why not? JA does an incredible job preparing you for your day. There is a booklet with DETAILED instructions along with props for activities. It does take a while to read through everything plus you want to sort of memorize most of it so you're not just reading from a book the whole day. There were super fun stuff like "making" donuts, but there were also moments like when I was explaining "brainstorming" when I saw a glazed look over 40 eyeballs. Nonetheless, it was a really fun day and the kids are so awesome. I was lucky enough to have a co-teacher so that made things a lot easier. We also spaced out the lessons/activities with games like simon says and a super competitive game of musical chairs. It's also good to ask the teacher beforehand if there are tricks like how to get them all to be quiet and listen (our class was this clappy thing). Highly recommend this volunteer project though you'll need to take a day off from work for doing it, but it's a great experience!!!
