Loved my experience Bosque Books! The whole esthetic is lovely even the bathrooms. I love the little coffee, tea area at the front. They have a pretty good selection of books as well. Their selection of board books is thin but other then that they have a large verity of books for older kids. They also sell t-shirts, jewelry, mugs etc. They have a calendar with events book signings, trivia etc! The space was very calming and would love to go back when ready to buy my son more books.

Such a cute little local store. They have multiple seating areas and a wide variety of books. I also really love that they have a small section dedicated to local writers. Everything that I looked at, including the snacks were decently priced. And the store attendant very kind. If you like Barnes and noble but want to shop local, come here.

    Classic selections.

Books on the Bosque is a cute little bookstore on the West side inside Riverside Plaza. The bookstore focuses on new books, although there are a few scattered used selections and then an antiquarian books section. They've got treats, coffee, and a seating area for reading or chatting with friends. The day I visited on a Sunday early evening they had a live jazz band playing and there are events through the week. There's a children's section, middle readers, YA, mystery, classics, antiquarian, sci-fi, biography & memoir, new releases, and other sections. I wish there would have been more titles, and specially used selections, as buying a single book for list price can add up very quickly. The bookstore just opened last year, so ideally they'll fill more of the space with further titles as time goes on.

Today was finally my first time at Books on the Bosque. I love the whole feel of this independent book store. The friendly and awesome woman was very helpful and asked about my interests and I bought two of her recommendations and the third was one I picked but she said it was a great book. I love the assortment of puzzles that they have that are more artistic than the puzzles you would normally see. They have a nice selection of Zia sodas and other beverages. There are also a good selection of book clubs you can join if that is an interest to people. I look forward to returning to this wonderful book store. I already started reading Let's Pretend This Never Happened and actually laughed out loud a few paragraphs in!

I used to love bookstores. I Lurked in them all the time. But between digital books, storage issues…read moreand living on an Island I sort of got out of the habbit. I've been trying to do more bookstore lurking since I moveed here but there aren't that many good stores here. I love the Friends of the Library way up in Rio Rancho but that's a long drive. But I had a doctor appointment which happened to be a block from here so I checked it out. The first thing is that you know this is a book lovers book store with staff favorites right in the front. The main thing is how many stacks and categories they have. If you're looking for books about NM and the South West they have multiple shelves. But they also have tons of speciality shelves like Pulp Fiction and Romantasy. It's a great place to spend hours lurtking the stacks. I've been twice since I discovered it.

This is a great bookshop, among the best in Albuquerque. Definitely worth regular visits. I love…read moreit. I don't feel, however, that I can recommend that anyone sell books to them. They offer a pittance. It is really insulting, actually. A couple of years ago, I brought a couple of boxes of books to them (the kinds of books you routinely see on their shelves, so nothing strange) and accepted their offer out of what I later came to see as a misplaced sense of politeness: their offer had left me so stunned that I just went along with the whole thing and accepted it. Almost immediately I felt ripped off, taken advantage of. Later, I had to go through and clear out a dead relative's library. It took a long time to sort through, but at the end of the day I had around 40 boxes of books. I'd taken out the valuable things to sell online, I admit, as you should never sell the really valuable things to a used bookstore when it's easy enough to do so online. These were things like signed first editions and presentation copies and other rare books. There were a few boxes of those. There were also about 15 boxes of books that would have gone down well at Page 1, given what I know of what they have on their shelves. And the rest were rather more obscure. But I remembered how I had felt a couple of years ago when I had sold books to Page 1, and I decided simply to give all of the dead relative's books, minus the particularly valuable ones, to the public library. They always benefit from selling them, and I felt I'd done something good toward protecting one of the few remaining institutions that is still a purely public good. So, while technically I didn't get any money, I ended up feeling better, cleaner. Thank God for our public libraries! You should of course do what you want, but, when you take a box of books into Page 1 and inevitably feel horrified and sullied by the humiliating price they offer you--perhaps thinking you'd get more out of the books by burning them in your fireplace in winter to save on heating costs--, remember that you can just say "no" and instead donate them to the library and help make the world a better place for everyone.

The staff at Barnes & Noble Booksellers was very helpful on November 26, 2025 when I inquired about…read morethe location of a new book. The first young person who helped me directed me upstairs. Perfect. I found one lone copy, but where are the other 39 that she mentioned? I needed 3 copies, 2 as gifts for Christmas and an upcoming birthday. I looked high and low. Nothing. So I approached the older man upstairs. He finally exclaimed, "Ohhhh, the rest of these are being retained for a class, so what I can do is order for pickup for you." I appreciated the kind service, but I had to head back home to the southeastern part of the state soon. It's two stories and quite spacious even with many others shopping. The cafe towards the back was super loud. This is a nice location in what is referred to as Uptown Albuquerque, NM, at the Coronado Center Mall.

You couldn't put that up before opening or would you open when no one was in there or closed you had to wait till the middle of a Friday afternoon? Do you need more help? I applied 1 million times but apparently I guess you don't need any more people.
