Booked a trail ride during a recent trip to Tucson. This place is way out in the middle of nowhere and I was kind of worried we might be going the wrong way, down this crazy, hilly road. We eventually made it. The area you check in is a trailer and the bathroom is a port-o-potty which had tons of bees around it and the area. They weigh you ahead of time to make sure you are under 240lbs for the horses. Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. The ride was enjoyable even if the trail was monotonous the entire time. I would definitely recommend this if visiting the southwest for the first time. read more

We had a wonderful and memorable experience with Boomerang Riding! Myself and my two kids rode on the sunset ride in the Arizona desert. Even though there was a heat wave (high of 110F that day), it wasn't horribly hot during sunset. Kelsey was our guide and she was an excellent guide giving good details and helping teach us how to guide the horses. My two kids (7 and 8) had their first horse ride trip here and highly recommend. It'll be memories they never forget! The kids are well behaved and did well to follow instructions. Although, sometimes the horses wanted to snack and the kids had a hard time getting the horses to listen. The guides helped step in to keep the horses on track. Overall it was a really unique experience riding horses in the Arizona desert. We felt like cowboys and the price was was very reasonable! NOTE: It's a little bit hard to navigate here. We had a fantastic experience here a couple weeks ago. We were visiting Tucson and booked a trail ride for the morning and then toured colossal cave after lunch. This was the first time my kids had ridden horses. The staff took the time to select the right horses for us. My youngest child was pretty nervous at first, but our guide, Kelsey, was amazing! She helped my daughter take a moment to sniff the flowers and blow out the candles and get comfortable on her horse. She gave clear instructions for us first timers and checked on us through out the ride. Kelsey was a great tour guide and had a lot of info to share about the area. The scenery was beautiful and peaceful. We surprisingly even saw a couple of deer. What could have been a disaster, turned out to be the highlight of our trip. My kids had the best time and can't wait to go on a trail ride again! read more

We booked horseback riding here while and it was awesome! What an amazing experience! The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable and made everybody feel comfortable. The set up was very professional and welcoming. One of the kids in our group ended up getting very nervous after getting on the horse and they were so sweet to her. They let her ride around in the little circle, and then she dismounted the horse. Since she didn't want to go with the group, they let her brush and pet the other horses. The ride was very scenic and it was fun to see things we would not have seen if we hadn't gone on horseback through that area. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for horseback riding in the area. read more

I recommend Boomerang Riding. I took my family on a private wagon ride for the holidays. The horses and ranch were gorgeous. We went at 5:30 PM and watched the sunset. It was an awesome experience. I really enjoyed hearing about the history of the ranch as we peacefully rode around the property. I enjoyed the cookies and hot coco by the fire after the ride. I would highly recommend this adventure to anyone who wants to get away from town for an evening. It is the natural desert, and the air was chilly in December. Dress accordingly. I wish I could give this place 10 stars!! We went here to make memories for my granddaughters 13th Birthday, and boy! did we. It was an amazing experience from start to finish. Jamie and Mr. Mark are courteous, cautious, patient, kind and responsible. My 8 year old had never been on a horse and was almost reluctant to ride. Jamie talked her through her fear, gave her a few breathing exercises and we were on our way. The ride was exceptionally thrilling, the horses are gentle. Truly a one of a kind experience!.
