This place opens at 9am and closes at 3am every day. I wish it opened earlier though. They do have a soda machine which is located on the middle floor. The high limit machines are located in the middle floor. Casino closed up the third floor this time around and could no visit. the elevator was not working so stairs it was going up and down. The place still looks like a dump and definitely needs love, but I guess if their property does not get a lot of guests, then it does not get a lot of guests. They been in remodel for two years now. Their sports book is on the ground floor. The ground floor has really old machines. I did not have luck overall. I ended up losing fast here no matter what game I played around here and could not coin in a lot of points like maybe 300 points. Never been in such a ratty, run down hotel. Holes in the bed covers, lampshades and chairs. "Leather" on the desk chair was peeling off. Metal Items were rusting. Small dorm size mini fridge on the floor. The room smelled foul. Walls so thin I could hear the people in the room next to us having sex at 5:30 in the morning. Then we could hear them fighting and yelling at each other the next day. Only fresh coffee available was from a dispenser machine. Drip machine in the room offered only one (not two) coffee trays in a plastic cheap plastic tray that is inserted into the machine. No place to sit that isn't just a lobby chair at the entrance. Bugs in the bathtub and bathroom sink area. Toilet wouldn't flush (maintenance had to come with a plunger), carpet was "sticky" (no idea what substance was in the floor). It was gross and felt gross the entire time that we were there. If our scheduled event had not been in this hotel, we would have left immediately. Do not book your stay here. Shoutout to the maid service...even though this place was a dump, the maid service did their job well. read more

My name is Joy Smith and I just recently stayed for one night here because my man works out of town and we only get to see each other every so often. So we have been to a lot of hotels these past couple of months and this stay disappointed me. I am not a difficult person but I was very angry that we could not even watch TV the entire time we were there in the room. I went to the desk several times about the issue and they had someone come in which felt like invasion of privacy when we should have just been offered another room especially since it kept happening the entire night. I will never stay here again. The room was okay but it could have looked better. We had to pay 100 deposit and I didn't even get charged that much for the room just to not be able to do the simplest thing like watch TV in a room that we spent almost 200 on and have to wait to receive that 100 deposit back for a horrible experience. The buffet was horrible and I paid 70 dollars for a buffet that is barely stocked and the food looked horrible. The staff didn't have the restaurant clean and had sanitizing buckets everywhere and refilled our drinks out of a plastic cup he could have been drinking out of for all we know. It was just a let down and we spent so much time trying to get the TV to work for all the money we paid. I don't want nothing less than my full money returned and I will never do business here again they should close down. When I stayed at the Horseshoe I paid less with a even lesser deposit of 17.99 for a beautiful room and experience. I just wanted to give this place a try and I regret it. Very nice room. It was spacious, comfortable bed, with pillows that was amazing, as soon as you lay your head on them, you instantly fall, basically to sleep. Only downfall, no microwave or no iron, but outside of that, I really enjoyed my stay last night. Thought I'd try this buffet as they advertised seafood on Fridays. Once inside they had very little of anything in terms of selection. I tried the prime rib which was overcooked and somewhat dry. Fried chicken had sat under the lights too long and was inedible. As for seafood, you only have a choice of peel and eat shrimp or fried shrimp. Definitely not worth the $30/person they charged. It's especially irritating when you sit down to play, knowing you will soon hear icky songs from the likes of Train and Maroon 5. I feel compelled to update solely because I just saw a recent review with disparaging remarks about hotel employee Katie. I visit several times a year and have encountered Katie many times. I have found her to be cheerful, welcoming, and over the top accommodating every time without exception. One of the reasons I keep going back to this property is because I so thoroughly love the hotel staff, Katie included. (A stark contrast to the hotel staff at one of the properties on the other side of the river where I shall never return) This sentiment is extended to Chuck, Sue, Deidra, Yvonne, and a shoutout to a great bartender, Larrell. This property still has a lot of things remaining for improvement, but the staff is not one of those things. I have only ever had exceptional encounters going back for about a decade. To note: I am not some high roller who gets special treatment. I stay in standard rooms and pay for them. I play low stakes games. Everything smells like your Uncle Joe and his chain smoking behind - no smoking is merely a suggestion in the hotel There is a ceiling fan - but no switch and you'll need to almost murder yourself standing on a rolling office chair to reach the pull for it up top I LOVE free stuff. I once had a kid because they told me about baby showers. So when Boomtown offered me a free stay for the Friday and Saturday weekend of what would have been our 11th anniversary (Manchild must have been laughing down there) I jumped. I should have really thought about why - I'm not a gambler, so they would only get snack money off me. I'm used to staying at Margaritaville and Horseshoe have never stayed here before. Probably never will again. The AC here is terrible. It's humid outside and inside. Everything smells like it's damp and SURPRISE - it all is. The white socks I walked around the floor in are 50 Shades of Grey ruined but that floor was weirdly damp, and not from a good carpet shampooing. My walls were so thin I got to hear the other couple next door bump n grind all Saturday night. I applauded when appropriate and cranked up the Harry Potter marathon during their marathon when needed, but still. Not their fault - it's called Boomtown FFS. I'd just like to hear less boomin during my stay is all. The room was as clean as it could be with hole ridden sheets and everything more dated than that can of garbanzo beans in my pantry. We walked in to deck 2- but it was so cramped with machines I thought we had been diverted to deck one. The presence of table games let me know that we were in fact still on 2. Many of our favorite machines were AWOL. Because mom doesn't travel well- I went to find out if her machines were still in the building. Deck one seamed to have fewer machines........ so when I went to deck 3 and it was closed to the public I was shocked. Like- really? How on earth can this boat generate the bulk of its income from one floor? I spoke to the cashier and she said that the third floor was going to be live entertainment and event venue. I talked to a slot attendant and he was less committed. Couldn't say what was happening. All I know is that the machines didn't read my card. Our favorite games were gone. Be careful and pay attention to the slots specially when you print out your ticket. We where there on 9/7/24 and got robbed by one of the slot machines. We put in $100 and took it out at $65.03 to put it in another machine and it only register $0.1 did not even get to press any buttons since it only gave me a $0.1. We asked to speak to a manager and she was extremely rude saying that we were making this up to get free money. We aske for them to look at the camaras and they said that no one was available to review them and i find that hard to believe at a casino. Came for my girlfriend's birthday from Dallas,TX. Upon arrival I noticed a weird smell in the lobby. After checking in I went up to the suite to make sure everything was good to go.... It wasn't. The room was very dusty and the tub was dirty. Pictures 1-8 are of the first room. There was hair in the bathtub and what looked like dirt. After letting the front desk know the issue they switched our room. Room #2 (remaining photos) wasn't dusty but the tub was dirty, the floor hadn't been mopped and there was what looked like blood on the toilet sit. Definitely wouldn't recommend. Ended up getting a refund and going somewhere else. read more

We brought some friends and came to gamble at Boomtown, but today it did not feel like normal to us. A lot of remodeling and game swap out going on. Staff was friendly as usual, just seemed like shift may have been short handed today. Also noticed you could not go outside on the boat, all doors had signs saying Alarms would sound. We normally stay for dinner, but had friends wanting to venture out to the other locations. Restrooms spotless as normal, we took a picture of the river thru the glass door. read more

Boomtown needs a HUGE makeover! From the outside it didn't look so bad, but the moment you step in you realize there are problems. Since we had such a long walk from our car to the casino floor, we decided to stay. We passed up several empty shops that were probably thriving before Covid. Along the way we noticed the presence of cigarette smoke even though there were signs posted saying "No Smoking." Everything in the casino is OUTDATED! The machines, carpet, lights... ALL OF IT! Poker tables were pretty active after 5 pm. We didn't know there were other floors we could have played on. Glad we didn't. None of the workers were friendly. We'll know next time. This is all about the lunch buffet at Boomtown. We thought it was fantastic. Food was hot, good and an amazing selection. Servers were pleasant and friendly. We would definitely return. Some of the slots were older ones and many penny machines. After spending time at casinos in Arizona and Las Vegas, it was refreshing to have a few old favorites. read more
