They even had a slogan early on of "if you can't buy it here, you don't need it". The store offers homewares (glassware, plates, pots, pans and cast iron), decor, snack items, jelly's/jams, milled products, soaps, gifts, clothing, camping gear, and even barrels upon barrels of candy by the pound. With 2 floors fully stocked of product, it offers a glimpse of how things were in olden times. Pricing on many items is very fare, from what I saw and was able to compare. I arrived before sunrise, when the only illumination came from scattered security lights. Because the storefronts face northeast, the interior of the shop where I settled in remained shadowed for quite some time, with little natural light filtering through until well past dawn. Groundhog Coffee served as my refuge during those quiet, pre-dawn hours. The center offers more than just caffeine. There's a Mexican restaurant anchoring one end and an Italian eatery at the other. Between them, you'll find a religious ministry, a florist, a nail salon, and a handful of other small businesses. It may not be flashy, but it's a practical and well-used little shopping hub for the community. Unfortunately, it appears that some locals - or perhaps passersby - have discovered that the dumpsters at one end of the property are poorly monitored. The result is a growing mess that not only detracts from the center's appearance but likely draws in curious wildlife as well.
