We had the stuffed hen breast, crab cake, mixed vegetables and roasted potatoes. The crab cake was dry and not seasoned served with cocktail sauce which was a no no! It would have been better with a lemon dill or hollandaise sauce. The stuffed hen was dry too and last season. Now I will say our event was delayed due to the weather which could cause food to be dry but the lack of season that was caused by not adding enough. The desserts were pretty good. All my vendors were so happy and thankful for that, so they didn't have to rush set up or anything like that. The venue itself is beautiful; we had to do a room flip which was so cool how they magically did that so quickly. The furniture that was already there was great and the outside patio was so relaxing for cocktail hours. The restrooms were so clean and the studios for the people getting married were perfect! Overall, this venue was perfect, especially in case it rained, which it was supposed to, but it thankfully didn't. Parking was a little crazy for most, but that's going to be anywhere in a city area, thankfully all parking spots were at least free, so no one had to pay or worry about being ticketed. We also loved that our caterer brought in their truck utilizing the parking spaces in the front, which really made the outdoor patio feel more private and connected to the party inside. Considering that all vendors are booked independently of the venue, it made DIYing our wedding easier. Scheduling walkthroughs and mapping out the venue floor plan with Rachel was a breeze and Gemma was quite responsive via email to answer any questions you had. Booking our date was especially easy given that we requested a weekday at their hourly rate. On the day of, Tyler was the acting venue manager and was also great and easy to work with. If we had to do it all over again, we would still choose MSB. Thank you for making our day the best day of our lives!

Find a good event space can be quite the feat, so maybe this review will help others make their decision. The venue is located on a busy street in Glen Burnie, not to far from the community college. There is limited parking available on the street in front of the venue, but there is also a free parking garage directly across the street. When you access the venue, you are standing in what would likely be consider a waiting area. A nice sized open space attached to what I would consider a bar, but I am sure he can be used for other purposes. For the party I attended, the open space was used for a photo booth and open bar. the perfect area for your guest to occupy if they main event space is not ready for them. The ballroom itself was indeed very grand! Large, wide-open with high ceiling, the perfect space for a birthday party or even a wedding reception. Very versatile. I did use the facilities while I was there and while they were small, they were clean. The entire venue, in fact; was clean. The few staff members I did encounter during my visit were nice, although the interactions were very brief. All and all, I was very impressed by my visit to The Grand Ballroom and will definitely recommend it to others in the future who are looking for a place to host their next event.
