I give them 2 stars only because they did improve my Google search eaning with 6 key words. The cost? $3600 for 6 months- that's almost $1000 per key word. My main reason for dissatisfaction is they would promise things and not deliver. They also put work back on me, the customer, which they should have been able to do. First, they promised to place SEO rich text on my website. They wrote it and I edited it. Then they said they could not place it on my website diue to access. They asked me to have the CRM turn off two factor authentification because the way the work is not one single individual would need access. This was a no go. Finally after days of back and forth and me threatening them, they said they had access. However at this point I had given up and asked them to send me the text and I placed it on the website myself (even though I am paying them $60/hour to do this). Fast forward a couple months- again, they promise to fix an issue with website address duplication and to provide me other SEO rich text. 30 days later, this was still not done at our monthly telephone discussion. The website duplicaion was not fixed and they said the SEO text was a task for next month. This was when I caneled any further work which I had planned to do anyway since we had been at this for 6 months. They offered to put the website address fix money toward anoher tsk. However, when I asked them SPECIFICALLY what that task would be, I got NO ANSWER. This tells the story. Finally another major problem is there is NO consistancy in who you talk with. One month it is person A, next month person B, next month person C, next month person B again. I find their practices un-professional and they do not instill confidence in the customer. I've worked with Boostability for years, and had a good enough experience with them at my previous employer (where we white labeled them) that I chose to hire them when I went off on my own. The folks that have bad experiences are, in my opinion, just not using them correctly. Boostability is at its best when its a team effort with an agency that already knows what they're doing and just needs help predominantly with off-site work. I had set up one with Jason Andersen (someone who has apparently has been with this company for 11 years) and he could not even be bothered to show up to it, had i mentioned that it was via an online call? Here's a tip, if you schedule a meeting with a potential client, it would be wise to actually attend the meeting. I used Boostability for well over a year, and while my ranking was good for one of my keywords, it wasn't so for the other... I then realized that for 4 straight months, both of my keywords were basically idling back and forth in ranking and not really going anywhere...and when you pay$500 a month to watch those keywords stay stagnant, well... you get out of there. They had someone from customer service call me to try and talk me out of leaving their services, and he was very pushy. After telling him NO for the 5th time, I told him that I wanted to be done, and for my services to be complete. His response was that they would continue to work on my account until the end of the month. I objected and told him, that I wanted to be done immediately, and this is where he told me that they couldn't just stop working on my account until the month ended (so they could pocket the rest of my money for the month). Keep in mind that I spent over 8K with these people, and they couldn't even just stop my service and reimburse me half a month. Highway robbery, and complete disregard. I am so ashamed of myself for trusting them and paying the sum I paid each month, because in the end... They had zero respect for me and/or my business. read more

I did business with this company for many months and they do have great customer service and they do respond right away when I had questions and so in regards to that, they do a great job. However, I was disappointed with the results. Google looks at our websites and gives it an overall assessment based on what you're doing right and what you're doing wrong. I asked Boostability to first go over my entire website and tell me what I'm doing wrong overall so that I can fix the big problems. In my opinion, doing that will help with google overall. Things like does a page need more text, or do I have pictures that need alt text added to them, are the descriptions and tag words for each page correct, etc. Anything needed to make sure I at least had the basics covered to make google happy, but Boostability wouldn't do that. They literally told me, "that's not what we do." Instead they wanted to leave my entire website with any and all of the mistakes it may have had that makes google unhappy and only work on one page at a time; and they said it could take many many months to get that one page to rank. I told them at that rate, it would take them 20 years to get through my entire website and get everything in good shape and ranking in the search results. Their answer was something like, just increase from ten hours a month to much more and we can get it all done faster. However, there is good news. I talked to Boostability recently after posting this review and they said that they will be implementing something new that will allow customers to now get what I had requested, a good website overview and a fix of any problems found. Then they'll move on to getting each page to rank. I think this is a good idea and I'm glad they're making the change. One of my biggest issues was their lack of transparency. I paid for ten hours a month and I wanted to know exactly what they were doing each month in those ten hours. When I logged in to my account I could see general things listed but nothing specific. Even after months of doing this, it was always the same old general things listed that didn't actually tell me what they did each month. And nothing on that page they were working on changed. And so whatever they were doing it wasn't on my website. I prefer to see what exactly the work is that their doing. If they're creating back links then I want them to send me a list of every back link they created for me so that I can see if those back links are valuable to my website or just a crappy website that's backlinking to my site. I made the suggestion when we last talked and maybe they'll make some adjustments here as well. After a couple of months, they finally made some suggestions to the text of the web page they were working on. They still hadn't done anything with the page description, or tag words, or anything else. But they did have text suggestions. I wasn't thrilled with the rewrites. The grammer wasn't very good and it seemed to be written by an amateur. I think what they were doing was creating text that would make google happy but text that wouldn't actually convert a customer. I needed them to also keep in mind that I need to tell explain what we offer and how we can help potential customers; not just write to make google happy. I didn't like the SEO outcome but Boostability has always been great with customer service and they worked with me in regards to what I paid since I wasn't happy. read more

People who leave negative reviews don't understand how SEO works. SEO is a complicated process which they present in a transparent and affordable manner. If you have a difficult keyword to rank by finding long-tail phrases that you can rank for, they will begin to build your authority and over time you could be eligible to rank for your difficult keyword. I have clients who are a small local business and think they can rank for "pizza" overnight. SEO can takes months for initial results and even up to a year with very competitive keywords. From what I can see, Boostability has a process that works as expected and you won't get different results elsewhere. If someone claims that you will, they are probably not being honest and where they might rank you temporarily on the front page of Google, eventually you will be penalized and knocked off the face of Earth. Having opted for one of the higher levels of service, and having read positive reviews online, I did not expect to be so disappointed by Boostability. During the four months I contracted with them I was passed between five different account managers, and each was either too overburdened, fired, employed elsewhere, or whatever else to actively manage my SEO campaign. Several thousand dollars later I feel as though I've gotten nowhere. The keyword research they did was slapdash at best, and their onsite recommendations were significantly below the standard they had led me to expect. Of the 'hundreds of links' they reported adding back to my site, very few actually show up in google. I don't know what they have been doing, but it isn't worth 1/10th of what I spent on it. Update: while my post may be three years old, in that time boostability has yet to even attempt any kind of reconciliation or compensation for thousands of dollars spent on absolutely terrible service. The sales team does tend to promise you the world, and in my experience, when you are paid to sell; you sell! I am very interested to see how the company grows from here. I have been using this company for 10 months. This company totally failed its promises. They have many promises. They gave me a timeline and laid out what was expected. I repeatedly asked them what else I can do to help. I received their advice and did my part fully and completely. All I am waiting for is the result of their work. The results never come. So, what Boostability did when there was no results as they promised? They blame me. I pulled out the email with my questions: what else I should do? Nothing was the answer. Then, now, how can you blame the clients? With this situation, they also changed the account manager. The new account manager did nothing, but blaming me, the client. Be very aware of their promises. I know that I need some SEO work done for my small business. I thought that, given that they were local, they might be better to work with. It turns out that I was wrong. They are the single most expensive SEO company I have tried to work with. They have also done the least amount of work. $400 may not seem like a lot to some but it is a lot to me for supposedly 8 to 12 hours of work. This is the most dishonest company I've ever dealt with. They promise you one thing and deliver something else. My sales person Whitney explained that they would have backlinks within articles on popular sites related to my target market. Don't believe them. They post your URL on blog articles on your competitor's website which is very rude. It's a scam! I would be insulted if a competitor posted on my blogs. This is not an old review. It's November 2018. For $1000 I was told we would get 25 hours of SEO. After we signed up, I was told they would optimize TWO KEYWORD PHRASES. YES TWO KEYWORD PHRASES !!!! I complained. I got four instead of two (nearly as worthless). The first day of my campaign, they did 25 units of work, which was about 10 links which I couldn't track down, and included just a few comments on blogs. Really - nothing! The next two WEEKS they did another 7 units of work. Less than nothing. Truly worthless. Really, I would say a SHOCKING experience. We have used about half a dozen cheap India SEO companies which ranged from bad to medium, but Boostability wasn't even on the bad end. They did nothing. read more

If you look at the current review and one in the filtered review you will basically find the same story here. I signed up for Boostability's SEO service back in November. You will be under contract for three months. I was told many things by the sales person, which I find out later was just a bunch of lies. I didn't see the dashboard move a blip. It was a flat line through out the first two months. By the end of the second month I decided to cancel my service. Why pay for something that is not producing results..right? I followed their protocol and sent my email well before the 10 day time limit. Once I sent the email, I received a call from an account rep trying to keep my business. I expressed my concerns and discontent, and understood I would not get a refund. The plan was to finish out my contracted month, (since i have to pay for it anyways) and then have the account cancelled. Well here comes month four and I was charged...let me tell you...not too happy about this. I called all the contact names that I had been dealing with previously. I was not able to reach any person I had been speaking with previously. I had their numbers, but new people were at the other end of the line. How shady is that? A new account representative contacted me. She was very nice, very professional, and unfortunately received the brunt of my discontent. She advised me that she needed the email, I had sent. So, I resent the email. She stated she could not find that email in her system. At this point, I am pretty pissed. Basically feel like I am being called a liar. I had a simple request, reverse the $200 charge, apologize for the inconvenience and we can move on. Nope, I now have to proceed with an overcharge claim with my bank to get my money back. This company in my opinion is not good to do business with. I never saw any changes in my dashboard, they told me there is no guarantee and that they change their approach based off what they see, and if you are not happy about results, they still charge you and make cancelling the service a nightmare. ZERO STARS!!!!! ONE STAR for YELP allowing me to voice my experience! Take my advice, along with Brad W. and the other review in yelp filter. I used Boostability for our pest control website. I have to say, I was not impressed at all. Targeted KeyWords were not ranking, but rather dropping in rank, which was disappointing to say the least. Boostability starts your campaign by choosing your keywords for you. I am in a VERY competitive market in NYC; Boostability cannot handle our market, therefore deterred from the most searched local keywords and provided sub-par work to keywords that do not have relevance to our sight.
