I missed a deadline by a couple days and they insisted on locking me into a new 2-year contract paid monthly which they fraudulently started putting on my card and I had to have my credit card company reverse. I offered to pay an extra one month fee for missing the deadline to let me out of the contract but they couldn't accept the fact that a person can be legitimately distracted the next two months after their son is murdered. But no they insisted that I'm locked in for two more years because they just wanted my money. The website just wasn't doing it for me and I had already switched to a different company and there was no way I was going to continue with My Advice. I made them a very fair offer. Awful, I would not recommend them. Hired them for map ranking, during the contract in January, the google business profile, the business was removed from google. They said they would find out why and reinstate. By end of march after several emails, no profile back, company had vanished off the earth, I asked to cancel service. I hired another company who within 3 days of appeal to google, google then sent the new company I hired appeal approved, the business was back on google. advice are hounding with collection agency for money, for work they failed to do, per their own contract. Our company was also way down on the pages, when we did pay them. Although i understand it can take time, I would not hire them at all unfortunately. They tie you into a contract, they don't do any work, they hound you for money from a collection agency when they failed to have you visable anywhere on the internet, DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! This is an update to the response left by the business owner to my original review. It is ABSOLUTELY FALSE that you reached out to me "many times". You didn't even reach out to me by phone ONCE except for the one time to solicit me. No attempted phone call and no e-mail except the one from your VP in response to the BBB complaint, only doing the same thing you're doing here by telling me how I don't understand this great service that you're insisting I benefit from. So that's just more mendacity. And yet YOU accuse ME of misleading others? No. Auto-renewal was definitely not discussed in our phone conversation. And NO, the renewal notice is not in "large and bold" print on the invoice (see attached). And also 'NO', there was no separate notice about the renewal coming up last year. Every email and invoice is accounted for and they do not reflect what you said in your response. I've conceded in my original review that you only have the legal high ground (maybe), however, I'm merely putting out the "Buyer Beware". For every invoice I receive from you, I will pay it instantly, in compliance with contract law, but I will continue to warn others (as I told you that I would do) about your true lack of transparency. If you want to try to be transparent, why don't you say right here in the comments how exactly I've been benefiting from your service? How truly beneficial are your services if you're having to threaten clients with escalating to Collections in order to retain them? I originally signed up about seven years ago and initially the company was beneficial. However, over time the only thing the company did correctly was charge me a monthly fee. When I did have a significant issue in terms of my website, I needed to hire an outside agency to resolve the issue, and myadvice was useless in terms of any troubleshooting. I then asked to terminate my contract, and was informed that when the initial contract was signed, it would automatically renew on yearly basis, without letting me know, and to cancel, the company required at least 45 days written notice. to complicate matters, they make it excessively difficult to cancel. Advice Media's marketing team techniques are less than basic and once your contract is sign they don't care about your presence and performance. Social media team uses stock photos only with 1 to 2 hashtags! Who is going to watch this! They don't offer anything that works nowadays on social media's (no carousel pictures ,no reals ,no videos). They actually will bring your engagement down because content is so dry and boring. I realized very quickly that all they want is your monthly payment. They were supposed to work on my website but after seeing how social media is managed and how the website design team works, I back out off the deal and hired someone else to improve my website- Thanks God! Regardless they still wanted to be paid in full for all the tasks they didn't do! Advice Media didn't even do website analysis (someone else did it for me )- they just want to change it to their own. They wanted to use a basic, boring, standard temples to build website. After one month I also knew that I don't want them to mass up my social medias. Anyone who has very basic knowledge can do better job! Watch out!!!!!! It's impossible to brake contact with them as they will threaten you to send your account to collection agency (even if they didn't do any work that they promised)! Local power and review that will cost you almost $400 a month is available for free in much easier settings without any charges. Other reviews show that it is common practice in this company - they just want your $$$ ! They don't even get ambitious to try to improve their services! They promised a professional, custom website (which they convinced me I needed to boost my SEO), but after months of delay, they delivered a subpar, generic, poorly designed website that was visually unappealing and riddled with errors. They had the audacity to tell me that the shoddy website they delivered was the 'basic package,' and that I'd have to pay extra (almost double) for something that actually looked professional and aesthetically appealing. When I attempted to cancel my contract, I was informed that I was locked into a one-year agreement and would be charged in full for the remaining year, even though they had failed to deliver on their promises. I own Beautiful U Med Spa in Lehi Utah. I hired Advice Media over three years ago. At first they were great. After about 1.5 years of their service they went down hill. I asked to cancel my contract when two years was up. We corresponded with emails for several months about how unhappy I was and the agreed upon services were not being completed. Two years came and they renewed my contract automatically for another two years without my permission. I pay them 1300.00 a month. They changed some colors on my website and said since they revamped my site I had to pay another two years. I have been so upset with them. I was with Advice Media for 3.5 years before I completely lost faith and did not want to go any further with them. I asked for my backend passwords to get someone to help me with my website. My SEO was horrible. I paid someone to redo my web site because they would not give me my passwords. I had someone else take everything over and stopped using Advice Media. Today I just got a collection letter stating I owe them for several months of services which I did not receive. Someone else has been running my website. They have not ran things for several months now. Really, they have never ran things. They are wanting 6950.45. This is my advice to you as a future consumer. Do not get involved with this company! As a business owner I would never do this to my customers. They know they were doing nothing on my website. Shame on Advice Media. They leave the customer no choice but to find help elsewhere. Buyer Beware! They misrepresent what their services really are and are pushy like a timeshare salesperson to get our website live. I was so excited for the website reveal only to find out that all they did and were planning to do was transfer our content over. Our new website actually looks worse! There was no "development". We had given them exactly what we were looking for: improvement on user navigation and sense of direction, sections with different body part pain areas, clean up navigation, SEO optimization, increased speed. The "reveal" was extremely disappointing! Their Order form has fine print that states click on webpage (that clearly can be modified) for terms- so not legal. I am taking them to small claims court which I advise others to do. They are in Park City, Utah and the max on small claims is $11,000. read more

My Experience with Advice Media We attended the Academy meeting in New Orleans in 2017. It was the last day. We were tired and looking forward to going home. We came across Advice Media's booth and started talking with them. While we provide excellent patient care, our patients are almost all older. Many times a day patients express their pleasure with our services and thank us for caring for them. It is the reason why we keep the practice going. It's all about the patients. We do have a few younger patients, but the vast majority are older. We found that some of younger patients, with unreasonable expectations, have gone online and social media to "punish" us. These complaints vary but are almost always, well, bogus. As an example, one grandson complained that he had to wait an hour for his grandmother to complete her comprehensive eye exam. It takes an hour for an exam, and if asked we tell people that. In any case, our online, social media presence did not reflect the quality of our care. We also found that when older patients go online and say great things about us, some of the platforms (Yelp) refused to print their input. Chronic complainers were rewarded with eternal complaints and first time reviewers were rejected. Advice Media said that they could fix the problem and presented a strategy. We followed the strategy but when it did not work, they said there was nothing they could do. At that point I asked to be let out of the remainder of the contract. They refused. You could say, Caveat Emptor. I signed a year contract and I was stuck with it, but in truth we succumbed to hi pressure salesmanship and did not get what was promised. They gave poor service and when asked to go our separate ways because of it, they insisted on continued payment. I have used advice media for about 18 months. During this time I do not feel that I received the kind of service they advertised. They were three months late with the go live of my site. After many calls I was informed that the employee in charge of my project was out on maternity leave and that's why my website languished in an incomplete state. Additionally calls made to my "team" about changes like updating addresses when we moved and fixing pictures that were distorted on the webpage took weeks to get anyone to respond to. Recently I found out that there has been restructuring due to issues that the company had (ie bad staff that was unresponsive to my calls). A new team member acknowledged that everything I just mentioned was their fault and that their company had dropped the ball. However, when I asked if they would just let me out of the last 6 months of my contract, that stated that I was contractually obligated to pay them for the rest of contract term.
