And then they said that nobody ask people how they're doing or what their name is. I said, I don't mind you asking me how I'm doing and I don't mind telling you that but I do mind you asking me what my name is, if I wanted to share I would. Then they said "well, I'm just asking because if you purchased something, we do require your name for a receipt". So, I said " Ok. Thank you for letting me know your policy but I don't think I will shop here" and left. I wanted to buy locally but did not feel comfortable shopping there. By the way, there was nobody in the store and it appeared that the back room was dark; it just kind of gave me the creeps.

The Owner and her small staff are on a mission...to provide a service to women (primarily) who are entering the job market and need assistance in putting together a career wardrobe. Nearly New's clientele qualify and are referred to the shop through the Human Services Department (just behind) and have encouraging, enthusiastic assistance from the welcoming staff in pulling together an interview wardrobe and more. This is what I call true community service! 2. Though a primary goal of the business is to provide assistance to their referrals, the shop is open to everyone and I have found many great items ...a mustard-yellow Coach belt, Chico tops and bottoms, a Banana Republic knit pencil skirt. They have jeans, jeans, and more jeans along with other casual wear, so not just career wear. Shoes and boots around every corner, too. There is a 50% off sale on occasion, based on the influx of donations. Speaking of donations, the quality is superb, considering this is not a consignment shop. For it being a Sunday I have to say I was a bit shocked til I saw the Santa booth by the elevator and was reminded it was the holiday season so during the holidays they extend the hours. Anyways after walking around I found this shop. They had a lot of home decor, furniture, hand made blankets, apparel, geo rocks, novelties, jewelry, and so much more related to New Mexico. The blankets they had were so soft and neat, if I didn't have to buy Christmas presents, I would've bought one for myself. They had these dia de los muertos figurines that I absolutely fell in love with! The furniture they had was gorgeous! Wooden bed frames, tables, and even leather couches that were so comfortable and neat. The home decor items they had ranged from wooden sculptures to hand crafted metal figurines. They offered so much. Admittedly the prices were a bit high but it's to be expected for handcrafted products. The mineral rocks were gorgeous but pricey as well. Definitely didn't much under $10 but admittedly everything seemed very good quality so the prices I thought were fair. So much inventory to take in. Not much of a selection for women. More than enough for men. They have plenty of back packs, pouches, holsters, slings, gloves, flashlights, patches, beanies, knee and elbow protection. They have a great selection of boots and shoes. They have socks, underwear, pants, tops, coats, belts and vests. There are plenty of 60% off sales. Our family like our jeans to be made out of 100% cotton, hard to find. As I was checking labels a female employee was working close to me and never once asked if I needed help. Another female employee walked bye, stopped to talk to her fellow employee, never asked if I needed help. Very pricey!
