That wasn't a problem even though the person to checkout right in front of me was told his suit alterations would be done within 2 days (he was a VIP customer & I was a first time client) ok I get it. I gave the alterations an extra day and drove over 40 miles to pick up the clothes. After not finding my order the owner went to check with the alterations person. He came out and told me they weren't ready and didn't say when they would be. I expressed that I was told I could pick up my order on Tuesday the 25th and it is now Wednesday afternoon? Again zero information of when a "Non-VIP Customer" could pick-up their clothes. The owners resolve was to refund my money! Not I apologize and will get right on it. No I got the covid excuse of why they couldn't call me to let me know it would be delayed and when I could expect to pick up my clothes. Needless to say I accepted the refund and initially was charged again for the order and the owner had a staff member correct the error to the error. I understand that the options for high end clothing is minimal at best in Tyler and Harley's doesn't need new clients to shop in their store. So, old money this store caters to you as your alterations can be completed within one to two days. For the rest of us willing to pay top dollar for clothing well good luck.

This past Monday, along with my excited daughter, the bride to be, we arrived at Brides and Belles to try on and possibly pick out a wedding dress. IT WAS AWFUL!! The lady helping my daughter was just not into helping us. She didnt pick dresses that were in my daughters size and didn't even clip them so we could see what a good fit would look like. The dresses just hung off her. AND it was sooooo hot in that shop that my 6 year old niece nearly passed out. We asked for water and were told they didn't offer drinks. The lady doing alterations, thankfully, offered us a bottle water from her private belongings. Then my daughter asked my niece for a swallow as she was getting hot as well and the lady helping us about came unglued!! She berated my daughter for taking a sip of water with the wedding dress on and proceeded to shame her for taking a sip of water so she didn't pass out. Lots of nicer brands for ladies clothing especially...Talbots, LOFT, Banana Republic and very up to date stuff from Target and Old Navy was quickly found among the usual ragtag thrift mess. They have mediocre housewares and a little bit of furniture, too. One MAJOR star lost for not having clothing prices posted or marked. What in the green Earth is up with that!?! I had to ask for the price of the dress I bought, but in order to do that I had to wait in a line of three other people - two of whom were also asking for prices on clothing. The exasperated staff member gave a vague excuse about "they took down our sign with the prices". This needs to be remedied, Goodwill. Customers don't have time for that, and it can't be easy on the staff either.
