I went looking for an amazing bridal experience, if that is what you're wanting just go ahead and mark this place off the list of stores. Not sure who my consultant was but she was very rude and disrespectful towards my mother. She would not listen to what I wanted and basically forced me to try on dresses by not letting me speak. If you want the best experience ever, skip Brides and Bells in Tyler, Texas and take the drive to Dallas to visit Anna Bè Bridal Boutique. They are amazing and work with your bride to be to make her visit memorable. This was our experience with Brides and Belles in Tyler, Texas. This past Monday, along with my excited daughter, the bride to be, we arrived at Brides and Belles to try on and possibly pick out a wedding dress. IT WAS AWFUL!! The lady helping my daughter was just not into helping us. She didnt pick dresses that were in my daughters size and didn't even clip them so we could see what a good fit would look like. The dresses just hung off her. AND it was sooooo hot in that shop that my 6 year old niece nearly passed out. We asked for water and were told they didn't offer drinks. The lady doing alterations, thankfully, offered us a bottle water from her private belongings. Then my daughter asked my niece for a swallow as she was getting hot as well and the lady helping us about came unglued!! She berated my daughter for taking a sip of water with the wedding dress on and proceeded to shame her for taking a sip of water so she didn't pass out. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DRESS SHOP WHATSOEVER!! They are Rude and unprofessional and did not provide a good experience at all. read more

Don't shop here unless your budget it over $1000. I had a budget of $600. A nice young lady helped me find a few things, but only 3 or so in my size (16). I was fine inside the dressing room, however, the moment I stepped outside to show my family, I felt extremely unwelcome. The young woman next to me who had a much larger budget was surrounded by over THREE employees. They were all doting on her and telling her how absolutely beautiful she looked. (Which she did!) I, however, had hardly any space to step up on the platform. And when I showed my dress to my family, not one employee had anything to say at all. I felt ignored, unseen, and disregarded. A question was asked about a dress and the owner (I'm assuming) looked me up and down and said absolutely nothing except a half answer to the question. When I brought up used dresses, she said very emphatically, "No, we don't sell USED dresses." I am pretty sure she shuddered at the mere thought. All in all, I felt rejected and unwanted. Not at ALL how a woman should feel when shopping for her wedding dress. HOWEVER! David's Bridal treated me like a princess and helped me find my dream dress. read more

Brides & Belles workers are super friendly! The store is small, but ran by people with big hearts. Sometimes I go in there and see the rudest customers drive through and the employees keep the same helping-hand energy with them, as well as others. I go in there at least 3 times a year for dress shopping, but I've been in and out of there for days over the past few weeks, and nothing's. For suggestions; make an appointment. You're more likely to beat the busyness, and you're likely to have more assisting attention. If you are prom dressing, try to have an insight in what you want, because they have LOTS of dresses, but not a big variety! Also, sometimes hours are hectic, so you'll have to pop your head out the door to request for fitting help if you're already prepared before they have the chance to make it back around to your room. This store is awful. I went here to look for my wedding reception dress and thank goodness I went by myself because it is SO crowded you can hardly walk around. I specified my price range of $200 for a reception dress and they showed me to the clearance prom wall. wall. I found 2 dresses in my budget and was put in a fitting room and was left alone after that. No one would help me get into the dresses. So I left. Went to Davids bridal afterwards and they were phenomenal. Will do all my future business there. read more

This place was awesome! I walked in and they had TONS of dresses to choose from. A lady immediately walked over to me and started asking what I liked, and she only pulled dresses that I liked. She didn't try to shove me into something that wasn't my style. They also had reasonable prices and a lot of accessories. I found my dress here and everyone was so excited. Is it too much to ask to get assistance from a sales person to zip up your dress or clamp it in the back? Apparently so. I sent my bridesmaid here to try on dresses and she received no help from anyone! The only help that was offered to her was to have someone hang up her dresses when she was done. I understand that the store can get busy and the number of people to help is low. However, zip up a girl's dress... It takes two seconds.. Wow. Not impressed... read more

I would like to thank Joanne and her professional staff for being so helpful . . I have ordered nine pairs of shoes in the last few weeks and with each order the staff has promptly called me and taken care of me. The staff is very friendly and professional. I was order from another boutique in another town and I would have to call them 3 to 5 times to do the follow up on the order myself, not my experience with Brides and Belles of Tyler. I also purchased a dress for mother of the bride from this store and again I was very well taken care of. I would highly recommend this business and its staff for any special event. read more

I've been here a few times and I've had somewhat okay experiences. The place is jam packed with dresses which is good for selection, but they're hard to look through. I've had good customer service experiences but they aren't always knowledgeable and I don't think I'll be purchasing dresses from them. read more

I made an appointment for "bridal consultation" three days in advance. When I arrived, the party ahead of me was still receiving other family members to see the "bride to be" in one of her dresses. My reservation could not be found in their records until I mentioned the lady who took the reservation, then it was found on a "notebook" under the counter. As I waited for my appointment, now .20 late, I was greeted by another young lady who ask what I was in there for (I am an older bride, so I do understand her question). But, if they had been prepared and had my reservation information, their staff would have known. Finally,I was greeted by the Owner who took me immediately to dresses, how shall I say...my grandmother if she were alive, would not have worn. An older bride can still dress with elegance and style and I felt she should have listened to what I would prefer. Long story short, sorry...I was taken back to a small "closet" like room, not the "bride" section to try on two dresses. Never once did she offer to assist me with the gowns or ask how I was doing. Very disappointing, very upsetting as I left this establishment with no assistance. I do live in Tyler and have purchased other after 5 attire from this establishment. I would not recommend this "bridal" store to anyone, Tylerite or out-of-towner. read more
