I told my son, I want to take a few days and go through and use each one, just to see what else we can incorporate into our workout routine. There is a small smoothie cafe in the front and they're not open 24 hrs, but if that is something you're looking for, give that a try. They have an upstairs as well that offer more machines and workout space. They offer a large woman (I'm sure men's too) restroom with a shower. They have lockers too, if that is something you need. After my "gym tour" with the one of their very kind staff members, I knew I had found my new local spot for workouts. The gym itself is quite big. It has two levels, with most cardio machines being on the first floor and the weights/dumbbells on the second level. I've been going for a few months now, and these are some of my favorite things: - Always clean - Lots of locker space - All machines have been working flawlessly - They follow Covid-19 protocols, so certain machines are blocked off - 24 hour access (!!!!) - Lots of machines, so I never have to wait around to use a tread, for example - Doesn't get too crowded even during peak hours For $15, I get a LOT more than what I expected. Her co owner and husband, Walter was my Instructor for the TRX Team Class and he made me feel right at home as did their friendly members. I have taken many TRX classes in the past and I can say without hesitation that Walter is one of the best! His teaching style is engaging, challenging and encouraging. He coached us to each work at our own level, taking into account our differences and at the same time gave us plenty of options to make each exercise as intense as we wanted. Class size seemed like there were about 18 people, but it didn't feel cramped or uncontrolled. It was a large gym. There was room for everyone and everything. She made sure to introduce us and everyone made us feel welcome. It was a good WOD. We got good advice from a gym member to take HWY 1 put to Acadia and we really appreciated the advice.
