The very large cachaça menu is gone and the décor has a cafeteria feel to it now. Instead of being a unique place, they've changed to a mediocre place to eat. Maybe they'll make more money, but for me, it's lost its charm and is no longer a destination I'd go out of my way to eat at.

Brush upon your Portuguese because no one spoke English here. Lucky for us, we speak Spanish, so we can get by a little, plus we learned a little bit of Portuguese. Makes it easier if you learn and understand the basics to get around, plus I think it shows respect when you at least try. All in all, this is a good place to be while in João Passoa. Lots of beautiful women here, so if single, you're in heaven. Again, Portuguese will help. Only negative if you even want to think of it as a negative, this place is a little pricey. I had been dreaming of the creamy shrimp rice dish since I saw it online and it did not disappoint. My husband did the buffet and couldn't stop talking about lamb. Portions for the a la carte option were super generous, it said for 2 but could easily have been for 3 or 4. Lots of sweet treats too. We loved it for what it is!
